I got my Philtrum (Medusa) pierced here and a double Tragus. My "Medusa" Was so crooked it was rubbing on my left front tooth and was at such an angle there was no room for swelling on the bar. I took it out within an hour. No saving it. My Tragus piercings are angled shallow but I'm going to try and make it work. However he used rings as initial jewelry and the pliers he used to close the rings created rough burs and gouges on the metal which is gonna hurt like a son of a bi*ch when I change them out. I went back in after I left to get Qtips because my man said my ear was dripping blood. You don't let someone leave your shop bleeding all over. They use surgical steel. Cheap. I went to Bullet Proof Tattoos to get lobe piercings with my friends. The place seemed fine at first, however, our piercer started rambling on about the transgender community and saying offensive things that made all of us uncomfortable. But not only that, he pierced my friend's ear crooked and told us we can switch them after 3 weeks and wash our piercings with soap which isn't correct piercing care. Their website also said lobe piercings were $30, but upon arrival found out that was the price for one lobe and not both. Not complaining about that, just giving a heads up :) Also, you cant pick your jewelry. For lobes, we got silver diamonds that are pretty big. Don't know if I would recommend this place.. id rather spend the extra money to get a correct placement and not have to listen to offensive rambling. read more

@ BULLET PROOF TATTOO SPOKANE, WA DIVISON LOCATION My Friends and I went in around mothers day weekend to get 4 matching tattoos done. We wanted them identical to each other, hints "matching" tattoos. With being the same size, same tattoo etc we were all quoted a locked in price. I went 3rd, and when it came time for mine to get going, the tattoo artist (not the same one that did the first two, due to leaving) started to put the stencil on. We had shown her the placement from the previous two of where and how it needed to look. Once it was on, she had left to the back room to bullshit and eat. I noticed that my stencil, that was drying, was not correctly placed on my hand. I stood there to get her attention but was not noticed so I politely waited for her to come back out. Once she did, I explained to her that the stencil was not placed correctly (Im talking a huge difference) and again showed her the picture of how and where the tattoo needed to be. She quickly got an attitude, and I mean extremely rude about how she would have to redraw it, and print it out and then again put the stencil on and dry. I looked at her like "annddd..." All I could think was its my tattoo, they are supposed to match and you didn't listen nor pay attention to me to start with. With her attitude, she went back and did it all over again. when it was time, she placed the stencil on while holding my hand tightly and said " does this satisfy you this time." Rolling her eyes. Not only did I want to walk out the first time she had an attitude, now I was really contemplating of saying "you know what forget it and Ill wait for Scotty to come back another day." I proceeded with getting the tattoo done. As we started, she told my other friends they were not aloud to take pictures or be near the window. Funny how the first two that were done, we were able to talk to each other take pics etc. When I was finished and went to pay, she made me pay more than everyone else and when we asked why she said it's because it took me way longer than I needed to do this. Um, excuse me but you're the one who F'ed up not me. I have been a customer of Bullet Proofs for YEARS with more than 5 tattoos done (Devon, Justin, Dave, Garrett, Peri) by them. That day made me seriously think that I will NEVER GO BACK due to this one person in their shop, and I do NOT recommend anyone else to go there either. When I got out of the Navy, I wanted a tattoo to represent my service in the military. I went here to get my very first tattoo to represent that. The service that I received was simply amazing. They drew up the art concept and went right to work on my amazing tattoo. It was very affordable and nicely done. The shop was extremely clean and the people who work there are simply fantastic. About 4 years later I returned to Bullet Proof for a second tattoo and this one was going to be significantly larger. Basically from my shoulder down to my elbow. The pricing was great and the service was amazing. I believe that the artists name was Doug, but it has been a few years and I cannot remember fully if that was the name. I had a Biker Scout from Return of the Jedi tattooed from my shoulder to my elbow. We had worked on this piece for nearly 7 hours. He ordered pizza for us and we both ate dinner as well which I thought was extremely nice of him. After all was said and done, I had a great piece of art and another amazing experience at Bullet Proof. The tattoo I received is very good, it is what I wanted and my *many* suggestions were accommodated. HOWEVER, I called in advance to ask about prices and was told it should be around $50. AFTER my tattoo was finished, they charged me $250. The person checking me out had the audacity to say "this must be your first tattoo then". It is not, my previous artist just had the decency to tell me the price up front. There is no issue with charging $250 for a tattoo, they are hard work and not everyone can do them. But, for a small and black ink only (with no shading) that price is too much. And had I known that it would have costed that much I would have declined getting it from them. Additionally, my ID was not checked. They had me write down my birthdate, which is ridiculous. Anyone can write down a birthdate. It just seems a bit unprofessional. read more

I waited a while before writing this review, partially so that I could give the artist the benefit of the doubt while the tattoo healed, but also so that I didn't react just out of emotion. Pros: - Artist was able to get me in same day and stayed late for me - Very clean and sterile - Fair pricing Cons: - Terrible line work, no getting around it; line thicknesses are not consistent, in places what should be a single line is actually a double parallel line (two thin lines not connected which should be a single bold line) - Script work is not consistent, letter sizes are not equal - Colors are bold, but outside of the lines in some areas and not completely filling the space of others - Heavy scarring in a few dark areas (more so than can be reasonably expected) - Professionalism lacking (at times I felt more like a psychiatrist than a client) To be completely fair, I did not return to give him chance to fix up the issues, as I moved out of the area, however many of the issues are not fixable - you can't thin lines that are already thick, and you can't re-do black script that is disproportional. I would not return to Bullet Proof Tattoo, or at very least I would not return to Doug. read more

I got a couple small tattoos here about 8 months ago. I went in with my friend and we were probably there for maybe 25 mins tops. The other day I went back in and asked the guy at the front if he did touch ups becuase the ink didn't stay as well as I had hoped and he asked me who did my tattoo and I told him I couldn't remember becuase it was a while ago and we weren't there for very long and they weren't big peices. My friend couldn't remember either but we remembered what office it was and the guy (long ugly ass beard) said that was his office so I said oh it was probably you then that tattooed me. His went on to harass me and my friend about how rude it was we didn't remember the guys name and how he wouldn't tattoo me if I didn't remember their name. Didn't look up my name or anything (and they should have my paperwork I filled out a form) he was a complete dick and I am sorry for anyone who gives them business. read more

I was looking for somewhere local for my third tattoo and Bullet Proof had great reviews. I had some ideas of what I wanted, but needed a real artist to put it on paper for me. Ed listened to what I wanted and after about 2 minutes said he was going to draw it. I though there was no way he knew that quickly after another artist told me it couldn't be done and didn't seem to understand what I wanted after 30 minutes. Do not go here to get any tattoos or piercings. I came in here to get a new tattoo and the price I was quoted the day before was 200. When all was said and done I ended up with a bill of $500. When I questioned him to why so expensive the response I got was they charge 125 an hr. My tattoo took 1 1/2 to do thats counting the time to draw it. very simple tat. The other couple of hrs I was stuck there that they charged me for the artiest was busy talking to people on the phone talking to the guy up front as well as watching a movie. The artiest Doug was so heavy handed that even now a week later my tat still hurts like HELL. I have tats all over my body so I am used to the healing process. They also show you one kind of bar for a piecing then pierce you with something totally different and not ment for what you wanted.
