I had tried calling multiple times with no return call, I used the chat option that was suggested & received an email reply hours later to book two appointments one for my 11 year old & one for myself. We wanted our ears pierced together. Should be simple. I received a call today by someone who was so thoroughly confused as to why I would book these appointments & asked what it is I wanted? As if it wasn't clear when I booked a minor ear piercing & an adult ear piercing? Not only that I was told they refused to pierce my daughter's ears that day & are refusing to refund me (i could only book my appointment if I paid in advance). They said they need to get to know my daughter & make sure she consents. Not only accusatory that I'm somehow forcing my middle schooler get her ears pierced but also creepy . I understand a quick run through of the process before the piercing but making us schedule a second appointment is absurd. The whole thing was odd to say the least & the person I spoke with didn't seem to understand a thing I said. One of the best experiences I have ever had. Helpful, knowledgeable, clean, friendly and open to all. I came here already having a prior nose piercing experience (not a good one). I went in for my consultation a while ago and met with Traci about my floral arm tattoo. I came in wit some examples and my basic idea of what I wanted. She was great to collaborate with. During the actual tattoo process she definitely took her time to ensure that the tattoo stencil fit just right on my arm. My session was over two hours and she made me feel very comfortable, despite drilling a needle into my arm :D the atmosphere was fun and the music was perfect. They take many precautions for covid to keep both you and the staff safe which made me feel much more comfortable. Their jewelry is not only great quality but also beautiful with lots to choose from. When I went in it was for three cartilage piercings. Two are still in but one got really infected and grew a bump behind it so I had to take it out. It healed upon removing the jewelry. The customer service was not the best. I had my daughter with me who was very little at the time (4 years old) and the piercer and front desk girls were not super friendly to her or me sadly. Kinda made us feel unwelcome. My daughter asked to watch and the piercer said no to her. Made her so sad. I've had piercings before at bullet proof, and silver safari and they always let someone be with you. Thought it was weird. (This was pre-covid I've just taken forever to review). I just got my rook done by Dae on Sunday and I couldn't be more pleased with the piercing itself and the experience as a whole! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Please be advised not to pay ahead in full. I paid $450 up front for a tattoo, which was accepted without informing me they they intended to move. We did manage to schedule an appointment before the move date, only for me to drive 45 minutes for the appointment to be told their printer failed and have to turn around and drive 45 minutes back home. I asked for my credit to be transferred to my brother, and I was offered a refund and told to think about it. My mom passed 3 days later and I have spent the last 2 months grieving and planning a funeral that was just held last weekend due to her passing in AZ and being buried in OR and time for the headstone to be created. I reached out 3 weeks ago asking for my refund and got no response and am now being told that it is not going to be honored, but they are still willing to hold it for me (they now live several hours away). I don't trust that it would ever be done, and honestly don't trust their ethic to do it well if we were to cross paths. For more than a decade I've been contemplating a back piece. I've seen a lot of artists and been to a lot of shops but nothing ever resonated with me. In November I stumbled upon Mom's after reading more tattoo shop reviews than I care to admit. I decided to pop on in without an appointment to thumb through portfolios and check out the space. It's quite beautiful, a cross between art gallery and tattoo shop. After a chance meeting with Bonnie, I knew this was the artist and place I had been hoping to find for so long. Mom's is squeaky clean. The staff are friendly, professional and always willing to help make things more comfortable. Additionally, I can't say enough good things about Bonnie. Not only is she an amazingly talented artist, she is the type of woman that leaves me feeling more empowered and beautiful after every appointment. As a person that's working on having a whole damn back tattoo, I spend a little more time here than the average bear. I have had some level of exposure to nearly every artist in the shop, excluding piercers (I've not seen them much), and I would, without question, work with all of them. TATTOOS: I watched my husband get a half sleeve done by Bonnie and it finally gave me the courage to start my own half sleeve. We both have smaller pieces done by Bonnie but I didn't know if I was ready for the commitment to a big piece. My husband's half sleeve is absolutely gorgeous. She has a calming presence and makes it easy to sit in her chair. I cannot wait to see the finished result! PIERCINGS: I decided to check out Mom's to get my ears stretched a couple summers ago. Shandra was super thorough with everything. Jewelry, cleaning, aftercare- the entire process! I felt really comfortable and was able to ask any questions without feeling uncomfortable. Fast forward about a year and a half and a couple stretches later. Shandra was patient and always so helpful when I decided to go up a size! Last fall I wanted to change up my nostril piercing jewelry. Alexa and Shandra helped me pick a beautiful new piece. Shandra, as always, was super thorough and meticulous with the entire process, even though it was just a jewelry change! In January I decided to get my triple forward helix pierced. Alexa helped me pick out jewelry and she did a great job of explaining the pros and cons of different pieces. Frankie did my piercing this time and I could not be more pleased. He looked at the anatomy of my ear to determine whether or not it would even fit and/or look okay. He talked me through the entire process and was super friendly.
