So with a trip coming up, my husband and I decided to get TSA PreCheck. And this is the office we were sent to to complete this. We easily made an appointment via the TSA site, though the next available time was a month out, about a week before our trip. This ended up being OK, though, because we were approved roughly a day after completing our intake in this office. For our appointment, we came to the office building at 4010 DuPont. It worked best to enter via the back corner entrance and then take the elevator to the fourth floor. The two women who were there when we came were able to quickly guide us through the process of scanning our passports, answering questions and having our photos taken. We were in and out in 10 minutes. And I'm sure I will be so happy I got PreCheck when I'm at the airport in a few days, whizzing through the security line.

This department is ran by people that are completely unwilling to work with recruits that have a passion for fire fighting and will fire recruits with days left in their academy experience based of little to no Merritt but will write it out however they see fit, to keep them in good standing with the public eye, or what they consider good so that they sleep perfectly fine at night. Louisville Metro fire department is a "good ole boys" club that fits perfectly in the Kentucky theme. They are discriminatory that promote and hire minorities, not based off capabilities but based off numbers. This department feels like they need to have certain number of minorities in lower and power positions and will not exceed that number no matter what so the minorities that are in power positions will not do anything that will help out other minorities if it means putting their own selfish and unhelpful lives in jeopardy. They unfairly run recruits out the academy if they are of darker skin complexion or female. For what you ask? This is a fire department in a part of the country that considers themselves the cream of the crop but they the weeds in the garden and needs to be investigated immediately.

Make sure you have exact change and remember your spot number if you park in a lot. Also make sure you bring proper identification and have it ready to be checked when you walk in the courthouse, they check it before you go through security. Now if you are going for jury duty prepare to be there for a couple to a few hours. Bring things to entertain like books, tablets or laptops. Definitely bring a charger for your phone!! They do provide some refreshments and have 2 gender neutral restrooms in the room. They explain the process and expectations for you and will answer any questions you have. So don't fret, the assistants are they to help you out.
