Cove Haven is one of about 20 yacht yards under the Brewer brand from ME down through NY. Being a member at a Brewer marina there are some perks: a few nights for 'free' at other Brewers, discounted gas... What really makes Cove Haven is the people though - great management, friendly fellow Sperry-clad boat owners, and an overall calm that can only be achieved on the water.

Kenny, that works at the dock was great. Really helpful and ALWAYS happy! The slip was very easy to get in and out of, with a lot of space in between the docks. Also like that the docks were well lit, and there always seemed to be people around. The shower area was immaculate and the pool was an added bonus. We will use this marina again.

Called the marina and they said they were really backed up and didn't think they could get to looking at the boat for a few weeks. Called Mike at Land and Sea and he was able to send Brandon out the next day. Turns out that it was just a corrosion problem but I elected to change out both starter batteries given their age. I really appreciated that they were honest with me and said I didn't need to replace the batteries just yet. I had to have some warranty work done over the winter by another Marina and it was a complete disaster as they broke more than they fixed. Bill at Atlantic Marine took care of everything for us this spring and re did the bottom paint. He is meticulous in his work, a wonderful guy and is very reasonable on his prices. He will be the only one that is allowed to work on my boat going forward!

After launching, an incident resulted in the vessel taking on water, requiring the vessel be pulled again the next day. Bill and crew came out on a Saturday to help my sorry butt, and did an excellent job. When the damage was revealed that had been causing the leaking, Bill Jr developed a novel approach to the repair that actually saved me thousands of dollars in repairs. Yesterday, all the repairs were completed, and Bill Jr and company delivered the vessel to my storage spot I'd built in my yard. He took the time to go over everything that had been accomplished, and also made recommendations regarding the winter storage that were very timely. Bottom line: Atlantic Marine Transport is very customer oriented, cost effective, hard working and diligent. They have single-handedly shown me, by mission of action, that there are still good people who work in the marine field. Keep them on your short list, and at the top of it.

I brought my three boys with me as they were excited and I know we had a really short drive to the marina. A lot went wrong. The boat was taking In some water through behind the engine and one engine lost fuel prime and would not restart. I called the marina and the owner was so kind she helped us dock which from my limited skills especially with one engine was a catastrophe. She let me go where I could and showed us how to tie up. The marina moved the boat to the correct slip for me and I am currently figuring out what to do but the marina was kind not judgmental, calm. And helpful even though I definitely made some poor decisions in attempting this without another adult. The owner's attitude made a bad situation of which she didn't cause more manageable and didn't make my bad day worse.
