Opting for a very small, windy and scenic road through Missouri's countryside instead of a crowded interstate, we found ourselves needing a bathroom and a snack. Bullseye was the only place we'd seen in an hour or so of nothing but farmland, pickup trucks, and trees, so we stopped. You know those horror movies that start out at a local gas station, where out-of-towners walk in and all the locals just stop and stare? That happened here, and mostly because we were wearing masks. Not one person inside had a mask on, making it clear that we "weren't from around here." It was uncomfortable, but whatever -- have to keep ourselves safe. The restroom was surprisingly adequate and clean enough. This must be THE place for townsfolk to hang out to eat, because there were probably 10 or so people in there getting fried fish for dinner. It really smelled bad inside from the fishy grease. Why anyone would eat seafood from a place like this is puzzling. We bought a Diet Pepsi and a bag of overpriced Cheetos while the lady working the register just stared. At least we gave the good folks of Theodosia, Missouri (Population: 212) something to talk about!
