For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to park their multi-tonne truck on MY lawn in what is clearly marked a no parking zone. This resulted in rather significant damage to my lawn. I pointed this out to the crew leader who admitted their folly and promised to repair the damage. After several weeks I called the owner Dan to inquire why my lawn was not fixed. Dan was again apologetic and actually showed up 15 minutes later to see the damage for himself. Again I was promised they would repair the damage they caused. I would point out I was calm and reasonable with both Dan and his employee, I just wanted my lawn fixed. So now after three months I've had to repair the damage myself because the ruts were ruining my lawnmower (it was bottoming out). So thanks for nothing Dan! We were not disappointed this time either. After this last winter storm in February a big limb on our tree came down and we called Mac about 8 o'clock in the morning and left a voicemail. He came by about 45 minutes later and told us he had six emergencies he had to take care of, but he wanted to take our limb down before it came down on its own. He did that and then went on to do his emergency services. He came back one and ahalf days later and completely took care of it and one or two other problems we had. He and his crew were professional, efficient and completely took care of our beautiful trees. I will always call them in the future. I highly recommend Mac for all of your tree needs. I had a tree fall on my garage. I called a few companies and Longtree came out the next day, which…read morewas great, but the crane they used cracked my driveway.... The made a point to tell me before they removed the tree that if the crane cracks my driveway, it's not their responsibility. Well, it cracked the driveway. I then called my insurance company to add the driveway issue to my claim, and they said it was the tree company's responsibility... so basically, I have no leg to stand on. The bill for removing the tree from my garage was $16,000. I called the crane company and they bill out at $250 an hour. 5 guys were on site with a chipper and a skid steer... 3 total hours, 15 total man hours, even if they paid $100 an hour, that's 1,500 bucks, plus $500 for the crane. Call it $2k for equipment and fuel.. $4k, double it for profit... $8k.. they charged me $16k, and I have a cracked driveway. Frustrated at this, but I will say they were on time, did a great job, cleaned up after themselves and where very professional, so my issue is 100% situational... As a company, they are great.
