Generally, these smoothie places popping up everywhere really get on my nerves. It's like…read moreeverywhere you go somebody wants to mash up some strawberries and charge you £6 to put a few of them in a plastic cup. And to be honest, I don't really believe in all the nonsense, y'know, where they throw in a few leaves or whatever the hell it is and tell you that it's got like 50 types of b-vitamin and a whole energy combo blah blah. Like whatever, go away. However, as much as this makes me disgruntled... I LOVE Crussh!. They completely rock the Disco. If you don't think they rock, then do this. Go to a Crussh store and order a GOOD MORNING SMOOTHIE. This'll be the best thing you do all day. In fact, I did it with a friend once and we loved it so much that we had three of them. Which is a very bad idea for your stomach, I do not recommend it. But anyways, I'm not concerned about the health benefits of these drinks; and I do think the place is pricy... however, some of these smoothies taste astonisingly good. So much so that I've tried going to other smoothie shops but they tend to suck and taste not much different from my awful homemade smoothies. But Crussh get it right; and I am always open to being ripped off in the name of a good tasting Crush smoothie. Go do it, go to it right now - get a good morning smoothie. Actually, not right now, it's nearly midnight. But maybe tomorrow...

I confess, I was sceptical of their "healthy" image... who wants a wheat grass shot, seriously?! Anyhooo, I tried, I loved, and I go there for lunch all the time. The food is actually pretty reasonably priced, I love the smoothies and the little pots of salad, which are about £2.00, but surprisingly filling and very very tasty. Soups as well, are pretty good and the staff are really nice.

They cater to people who want "healthy" fast food, so offer smoothies (bottled but made fresh every…read moremorning), bags of nuts and trail mix, eggs and salmon, toast and avocado, porridge (oatmeal), Birchers (apple juice + fat free yoghurt +oats), etc. They clearly mark on the overhead menu which options are GF or vegetarian - super helpful that you don't have to ask or guess. If you have more specific dietary issues chains like this usually have a chart if you ask for it (but don't expect a long discourse to ensue especially if it's busy). They look to have more naturally GF stuff than try to offer GF bread and muffins and such. I prefer this since it's usually pretty terrible when a place has it for the sake of saying they do, versus a specialty place that really tries to make it taste great. I always get the scrambled eggs "super pot" (£3) and it's ok. As standard it includes peas and wilted spinach, but you can add salmon, goat cheese, avocado, sauteed mushrooms for varying extra cost. I like that it's a good carb-free protein + veggie option (which is hard to find in a fast food setting). However, the eggs are super watery - it must have to do with how they cook them (microwave?). I've found the smoothies to have better ingredients than most places that do them (kale, spinach, apple, almond milk) instead of being just full of milk and sugar. I've only had the Go Green and it was good (£2.25 for the small ... which is pretty small). Coffee is decent and the portion is large (though better coffee is to be found for same price in Borough Market!) And the decaf coffee is pretty good actually. Oh and they have free wi fi so if you need to post up before a meeting or work off site it's a good spot.
