After a few calls and exchange a graphic depiction of the stone, I decided on a stone and inscription. The lady on the phone could be kind of gruff (my only complaint), but she stuck with me and answered my many questions. The monument was delivered and installed. It looks great, and I am very satisfied. It was all handled by phone, text and US Mail. No payment was asked for until the monument was delivered and installed. Overall, a positive experience under sad circumstances.

This is the only African American funeral home in Statesville; however their process of burial is way to slow in comparison to other funeral homes in Statesville such as Nicholson and Bunch Johnson. Those funeral homes can get a person buried in 2 days whereas Rutledge and Bigham takes an average of 5 days which is totally ridiculous. They do a great job for services they provide, but there process is antiquated and needs improvement for timing and delivery of services.
