They process soybeans here from the whole bean down into meal (for animal foods), lecithin (for candy mostly), and oil (to be used in salad dressing and other foods and also as biodiesel fuel). I took an hour and a half tour and it was fascinating! This would be a very cool school field trip for jr high-high school aged kids who are into science and agriculture.
