Surrounded by farm land, it is no surprise that the market is filled with fabulous fresh produce, breads and eggs. I've been coming here for years. There were about 18 vendors. In addition to produce, a number of vendors were selling local hand crafted goods. The prices are great! The market is not fancy. There is no band or restaurants selling fancy breakfast items, like some of the trendy markets. It's a nice old school farmer's market. The people were super friendly. Parking was close and easy and it took less than 30 minutes to walk through and get my bounty. I'll be back.

I visited every booth and even got a free pair of swim goggles, a pencil sharpener in the shape of a fire extinguisher, and other great stuff. I recorded their rescue demo from a multi-story building. The firefighter landed with the rescued man through a window onto an air mattress. I went to a trailer to learn about prevention of home fires and how to signal for help from an upper floor. I have a video of me breaking a board with the foot! Moreover, an organization was offering free hot pancakes with 2% real maple syrup, butter, and mini bottled water. What a tasty treat as I have not had pancakes in a long time! This trip at the market and after learning about their process, I bought a $2 yellow squash from a vendor who uses essential oils to distract inserts/bugs and their own animals' waste as fertilizer. I will taste to determine if similar to other growers. Also, I bought again the $14 (6) frozen chicken eggrolls. I air fried one upon arriving at home. Yummy! Another new and happening morning! Very educational.

This market was clean and well stocked with early summer items. The service was friendly and helpful and prices were definitely in line with the other competitors. In good weather it is outside, in rainy weather they go inside to the old school gymnasium. It's perfect! This is a small farmers market but there are several faithful vendors I love including Asparagus Annie's (their own produce, breads, pies and sometimes crafts), a local farm with their own vegetables and meats (try the sausages), local honey from Wildflower Ridge and local artisans with jewelry, art, homemade cards and more. You get the flavor (ha!) so come check it out yourself and support our local growers!

However, there is a BBQ tent with a smoker and freshly made BBQ. Also both MUGS & Jackrabbit Coffee have locations here. So it's definitely worth a coffee stop on Saturdays, plus you get a chance to shop from local independent merchants. MUGS was offering a free coffee or a free breakfast burrito today. I got the burrito. It was cheesy with eggs and sausage and veggies-- a $4 value for free. You can also get a coupon for next Saturday too.

Because of the construction the farmers market isn't as busy this year. Would love to see it moved…read moreback to where it was before and see more vendors! Still fun to walk through and there are great finds!

I love a good Chicago dog, but it is impossible to find the legit ingredients in the Indy area. But…read morewait....Gatewood carries it all. This little farm stand is amazing. First, I spotted the poppy hot dog rolls. Then the bright green relish. Wow, guess what I'm fixing for dinner? I took my merchandise up to the register and the clerk (who was super friendly) said "I am just unpacking the hot peppers. Would you like a jar?" YESSSS. And then I asked about the dogs and, sure enough, she had the Viennas. This place is incredible. They carry local and regional items. They have some fresh produce (I picked up fresh corn and local strawberries). They carry assorted local jellies, pickled items, pastries and noodles. A local Amish bakery provides breads and pastries. I also grabbed a fresh apple cider slushy (for only $1.49). They also carry some local meats (frozen). In an adjacent building, there is a beautiful collection of annuals and vegetable plants. The plants looked healthy, but I did not pick up any today. There was patio furniture and colorful garden decor also. The people are just down-to-earth friendly. The clerk even gave my dog a treat. This will be a regular stop on my Noblesville circuit.
