However, once I identified Dr Kemper, I was confident that I had found the best surgeon for my needs regardless of location. To be brief, Dr. Kemper is a fantastic surgeon. While some might consider his consultations to be brief, the correct term is "concise". His information is spot on, and he not only communicates what is involved he instills a confidence that he will execute the surgery with the highest degree of skill and optimal results. Once I decided to schedule the procedure, he said to me plainly "I will do my very best to get you through this" and I not only believed him, but I placed my full trust in him. My surgery was 3 months ago. Not only did Dr Kemper live up to my expectations but I am happy to say that I am better today that I have been in many, many years. My condition is 100% corrected and there are no residual effects from the procedure; even my 8" scar is invisible and no nerve issues with my skin. I can not thank him enough or recommend him any higher - he's the best. I would also like to thank his staff for their excellent care. I had a CT scan with contrast that was all clear minus a very small ovarian cyst. He advised me that no other type of scan would help and that there is nothing a CT scan with contrast could have missed that's related to my symptoms. He also said sometimes he wishes he could fake symptoms to get scans so he could rule out anything serious. That made me tear up and I told him that I am not faking symptoms to get scans - he immediately said he wasn't implying that. Just that I'm lucky to know it's not cancer or something more serious. My father has stage 3 colon cancer , my best friend has breast cancer, my work supervisor and friend"s mom has stage 4 brain cancer - so yes, I agree it's great a CT scan did not show any signs of that. Said I should come back if this gets worse (I went to see him because it was getting worse and my PCP had told me maybe I just needed a vacation). He visited me daily. I like his bedside manner, He is caring but very confident and gives explicit directions on follow up care. Prior to surgery he gave me a very good picture of what to expect. He even advised there was a YouTube video that I could observe on the procedure he would be doing. He did not require any gastric surgery to be done when I had this repair unlike another surgeon where I was being treated prior. My incisions healed very nicely and very quickly with no signs or symptoms of infection. I highly recommend Dr. Steven Fass for general surgery as well as bariatric surgery.

If you chose to be a D.O. instead of an M.D., then Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine was a good choice. While I lived in Kirksville I got to know a couple of men who were surgery professors. They were outstanding men of character and counted it an honor to be known by them. So, when I read that this Dr. Freeland was in Lakeway I was looking forward to meeting him and having him be my new Primary Care Physician. My first appointment with Dr. Freeland was as if they had shredded any and all information about me. After my heart surgery the Mayo Clinic sent all my records to Bee Cave Family Practice. Mayo is one of top two Heart Hospitals in the world (you will receive the finest care there.). So, when I went for my initial visit and then filling out all the however many pages just to have my blood drawn for a INR value they were not at all prepared for a 2 minute blood draw and I could be on my way. My appointment finished at around 11:50 and was asked to come back after lunch at 1:00 to take blood sample, I left and came back later and finally got it drawn. The next time I came back I found the front office team to be disorganized. I was most frustrated that they did not call me (even though they said they would) to let me know the INR results. As I stated previously, I was really looking forward to having this doctor, but with several issues for me after only two visits I needed to find someone else. It has been a year since I was at Bee Cave Family Practice. I've written just a couple of times about less than acceptable services, unfortunately, this is one.

A seriously credible vein surgeon…read more He is honest. He listens. If his recommedation is different than yours he will take as long as you need to explain the choices available to you. You only do what he says after you have considered all of the other options and decided to follow his plan. Side options will always be on the menu - and you will always have alternative choices available. * * * My leg was not standard and it posed major obstacles under the skin. The veins were all convoluted like balls of yarn. It was hard for the doctor to get to where he had to make his changes. Other veins got worked into the deal getting treatments that paralleled those happening in the main operation. Other views were blocking the view and blocking the operation making the procedure complicated and painful The anaesthesioligst who was Dr Brenner himself had to put anaesthesia is some unexpected places. They coundn't get everything frozen or sleepy like they wantd to. So that procedure was far more painful than normal and far more painful than expected. All of the other operations have been normal making them both comfortable and effective. Veins were located in the right place and they did what they were told. So I had three operations on my right leg and a fourth is planned to finish old business. Results: The operation is meant to treat edema. The swellling and adema have gone down much more slowly that would be the case in a normal operiation. The known normal operations have generally had the desired results. My leg that was NOT operated on has also shown improvement That could mean none of my operations did anything However, I am getting fatter and that could make things worse in both legs. So I am inclined to give Dr Brenning credit for the changes in both legs. When the body feels fluid flowing differently in one part of the body, it can steer other parts to make the same innovation. * * * All in all, my operations have been of mixed effectiveness ... But I think Dr Brenner is fine. I think my legs are messy, weird and make it hard for him to work. I see clear and unquestionable signs of improvement. My rate of improvement is slower than what you get in the text books. My read would be if Brenner can get good results with a mess like me - he should be able to do good things for you too. And he does give you choices. You will know what you are choosing an what will happen. Most people are normal and most should have simple wonderful good results under his care.

I originally went to the Cardiologist because my doctor found that I had high blood pressure in August of 2023. The Cardiologist Dr. Otero put me on blood pressure pills. I took the pills for a few months and stopped. In March 2024 I ended up in the hospital with extreme dizziness and got physically sick when I moved. I went through a plethora of tests and the emergency room doctor said I had possibly had a small heart attack and/or Stroke, the hospital said I had to see a heart surgeon immediately and set an appointment. When I spoke with Dr Otero he said to cancel the appointment with the surgeon and that he needed to do more tests to verify my condition before I see a surgeon. Then I was run through every singe one of the same tests that were performed when I was in the hospital costing me for out of pocket expense again. Then an angiogram was scheduled for the first week of June 2024. The results were not good, Bicuspid valve that needed to be replaced, a 70% blockage that required a double bypass and a aortic aneurysm which could burst at any moment, (same thing killed my grandfather). I was told that a surgeon would call me the next week to schedule an appointment. Well, the next week came and went and no call...then the second week went by and no call. So, I called Dr Otero's office and left a message with his assistant Andrenika Ellison that I had not heard from the surgeon. I never heard back from Cardio Texas, and this was three weeks after my diagnosis. I waited until the next week, called again, no answer, left a message and never heard back. I had other family members who also used Cardio Texas but other Doctors in the practice call to try to get a response, and STILL NO CALL BACK! Remember, I have an aneurysm that could rupture an any moment and I would die on the spot. This went on for THREE months, I called every week, without an answer or a returned call. Finally at the end of August a surgeon's office called. I scheduled an appointment and the first thing the surgeon said to me was " I'm very concerned that you were diagnosed with this condition and your cardiologist took three months to get you to a surgeon?" Then he said, my diagnosed blockage was not 70%, it was 85% blockage and I didn't need a double bypass, I needed a triple bypass and could I be ready tomorrow for surgery? Then the surgeon said, I could be almost recovered by that point if they would have sent you back in June. BEWARE OF THIS PRACTICE, THEY ARE JUST LOOKING TO GET THAT COMMISSION FROM BIG PHARMA. Then, when I went to Cardiac recovery CARE with a physical therapist to help with my physical recovery. I was supposed to go to for several weeks but I ran into an issue the first day with my heart rate shooting up to 130 bpm. The therapist made me stop and instantly called to speak with Dr Otero and didn't get a answer. I was told to go home because we could not do any more exercises until he spoke with the Dr. Well, needless to say after making several calls and leaving messages the therapist never heard back from Dr. Otero or his office staff and would not see me without their call back. I'm going to have to say this is pretty sad for the type of doctors that are in this office...you know...HEART DOCTORS...or are they Grim Reapers!

I opted for the laparoscopic surgery option and scheduled the surgery. While doing this, the staff noticed I had not met my deductible for the current year and were able to move my surgery up so it would be 100% covered instead of taking a hit early in the year. On the day of surgery Dr Meynig and the staff did an excellent job of making me feel comfortable and explaining all the steps and procedures. During the surgery he found an abnormality and was able to remove it safely and complete the hernia repair. They also did an excellent job of keeping my girlfriend updated during the procedure.
