When that spouse died in 2024, Burket-Truby was responsive and kind. Both Sean and Shea helped us in the first difficult days after the death, as we formed a decision to have a memorial service several months later. When we changed some of the preplanned arrangements, Burket-Truby kept up and gave us excellent advice. We ended up with a fairly complex plan for a memorial service, and Burket-Truby handled their part promptly and beautifully. I want to highlight how genuinely remorseful he was for our loss, and how kind he was. Matt was also so kind, helping me hook up my slideshow for my Gram, and assisting us. Every detail was really thoughtful, including a special charm Nick gave my mother and I at the end that is cut in half, one piece to stay with my grandmother & one with us. They checked in on us at the perfect times, asking if we needed coffee or water. They greeted all of our family and gave their condolences. Perhaps the most touching aspect was how Nick helped us get my Grammy home. There was an issue back home in CA with her death certificate (nothing to do with Alfieri, it was her doctors), and she almost did not make it back to PA, her final resting place. Thank you Nick and Matt, truly. You gave my Mom, her brother, and our whole family peace and closure with your services.
