This is my first 5 star rating for a food place! I've been hanging out to find the food place that makes me say wow...and boy, does Burger Republic make me say wow! I'm getting my braces tightened (meaning I'll be a bit sore soon) so this burger was kinda like my Last Supper. My happiness was riding on the quality of this meal.... I was not disappointed! I ordered the Republic burger which comes with house sauce, beef, tomato, lettuce and red onion for a reasonable $10. I added cheese, beetroot and egg for $1.50 each, because I love me some egg and beet root on a burger! My boyfriend ordered the Special of the Week which was the Tradie Burger. Heaven in my mouth. The buns are soft and fresh, the meat juicy, the flavours fantastic and the fries golden. I love soft, squishy burgers and these hit the spot. Served on wooden boards with a side of fries ($3.50 extra) the serving size was pretty generous! I am nursing a burger baby as I type. My boyfriend felt like it was a perfect amount - not too scrawny and not too massive. My stomach disagrees...I won't be eating anything else today that's how full and satisfied it is! Overall the service was friendly and it was pretty busy for a late lunch on a Tuesday but we weren't waiting too long. Will definitely be going back. I'm writing this review- not from the standpoint of being to this joint once, but multiple times. All but one of my visits I have received impeccable service. The one time we hadn't was from 1 individual, which she may have been new, but really didn't know customer service, but you have to let that slide, because it was 1 individual 1 time. I like the space they have, and the big share tables, a lot more place to get a seat than Nordburger, and they have a great range of craft beer and softies. Now to the crux of it, the burgers. Solid burgers. Is it the one meal I want to eat before I die? Probably not. Is it a go to when I feel like a very decent burger at a very decent price? Yes!! They are solid solid burgers. Delicious burgers and great service had tonight. First time here on recommendation of a friend and we enjoyed it. Casual relaxed environment, licensed venue with a good selection of beers, sangria available and alcoholic milkshakes. We both has cheeseburgers with one side of fries and a bowl of onion rings. The onion rings were battered and served with a choice of ranch or blue cheese sauce. The cheese nut in us chose cheese. Delish. Burgers are cooked medium and were juicy. Another thing we liked was the selection of bottled hot sauces available from mild to super hot to have with your meal. Would definitely come back to try more burger varieties. read more

Drove past and realised this place existed two days ago!! Called them at 8:45pm, they were supposed to close at 9:00pm but said they would stay open and feed us. We arrived past 9pm and the staff were beyond amazing and attentive. Being vego we went with two of the garden burgers, a crumbed mushroom. One plain and one with egg and cheese. Let me tell you, my boyfriend had to check to make sure it was the vego option as the mushrooms were cooked to perfection, juicy and fresh. The mix of bitter, peppery rocket and crunchy lettuce was sublime. BF also recommends staying away from extras unless you're willing to commit to getting them every single time in the future. They are that good. As we continued to be impressed by our surroundings, we ordered more and more. Fries, a craft beer (much choice, so local, wow) to share and a dipping sauce. The customer service peaked when we were bought three sauces to sample. Two words - blue cheese. To the eye, the burgers may seem smaller than usual. However, they are more than filling and totally satisfying. I would only need a second if I had been slipped some sort of delicious special brownie. For three years, we have wanted a local burger place and now the patient have been rewarded. And then some!! We'll be back and we'll bring the masses!! read more

These guys are enthusiastic about their burgers. Really enthusiastic. That's always a good thing, and these guys have got some good stuff going on. There are about 4 burgers on the menu and they have a great selection of beers, juices, sodas--and a cocktail list too! I actually think their burgers are bigger than a lot I've had recently. Obviously they pale in comparison to massive pub burgers, but if you're used to places like Burger Theory or Nordburger I reckon these guys were bigger. But you know what they say, it's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it. ;) The burgers are tasty, and I don't really have any complaints, but there's just something stopping these guys from taking a spot in my burger hall of fame. Their patties are cooked medium rare (tick) but the juicy meaty burger patty goodness I'm used to just isn't the same. Maybe it's the quality of their meat, maybe it's in their seasoning, maybe it's in the size of their grind? I'm no burger expert. I reckon these guys would have one of the better burgers south of the city, and are a great choice if you're after something a little more casual on King Will Rd. read more

After a busy couple of hours of volunteer work we decided to visit burger republic which is just around the corner from the workplace. Limited menu choices which is an easy task when one doesn't feel like making decision. I had the sweet tang - not sure as to how they name their burgers but the only thing which is 'sweet' are the caramelised onions n their own sauce? I added some hot sauce which lined one bench, there were many to choose from! It definitely added some kick to the burger The blue cheese within was not over-powering which suits me. The bun was soft n just the right size. Loved the 'charred' toasted bun, obviously this may not suit all taste but I loved it The menu declared that the beef is cooked medium rare but I'd say more to medium rather than rare, no juices were running. Perhaps it was well rested. We didn't have to wait too long for our burgers There were heaps of different ales n ciders on offer but the coopers ale is only $5 if a burger is purchased. There are a couple of huge communal tables and a few small tables suitable for couples n 4s Ordering is at the counter once you have decided on your choice. We didn't have any chips but a burger with chips went past us n they looked great, perhaps something to try for next visit? read more

It's all in the meat. Anybody that has had a decent hamburger will tell you that. It should taste, look, feel, and smell a certain way. Preferably with a bit of char on the outside, a little pink in the middle, a real whole-flavour. The only seasonings present should be salt and pepper. Enter Burger Republic. Very very disappointed that Burger Republic's Facebook page says it is open on Sunday's from 12-3pm when this is not the case. We have been looking forward to going here for some time so today we thought we would try it if it was open. I had liked this page on Facebook so I went onto their page to see if they were open today. Their trading hours say today they're open from 12pm-3pm. We get there at 12:40pm and the place is completely shut up with a closed sign on the door!! Very very poor for a new business trying to set good first impressions! By far this has got to be our favourite burger joint since we've moved to Adelaide. The fried chicken burgers are some melt in your mouth goodness and the blue cheese beef burgers are also amazing. Each coming with their own side of chips, you need not order more. We have gone on two separate occasions - one super busy, the other whilst we were the only ones in store. I can definitely say the quality of my burger was better at the less busy visit, but who could you blame! This was average... With so many burger places around I just really wasn't that impressed with the size, bun, flavours or sauce. The chips were good and prices are good but expect an average meal. I found it to be quite loud as well which I would've expected in burger places anyway but it just added to the very average experience... I had a chicken burger with a small, (even smaller than the small bun!) dried and slightly burnt piece of chicken that was apparently not hot enough to even warm the sauce on the burger which was cold. My husband had the cheeseburger and was also less than impressed. Won't be back as there are plenty of good places to get a burger without having to wait so long and that taste better. read more

Quite disappointed. I called in this afternoon for a takeaway burger and chips and was told it would 15 min, 20 at the most. After 20 min, I headed over to the counter and was told it wouldn't be long, just a couple more minutes, until I finally had to leave empty handed and $13 poorer after waiting a full half hour. Great tasting burgers, nice soft buns, and some great specials. The fries are great, and the onion rings are very tasty, although quite pricey. Highly recommended, don't forget to try the Jarrito's Mexican cola. One of the better burger places around Adelaide currently. The fries by far make the meal, with a great crunch and huge range of dipping sauces with them. The chipotle dip is pretty fantastic and had a good kick to it. As far as the burgers go, try the Sweet Thang. Great blend of ingredients and a quality patty. Burger Republic is straight FIRE! This place is hot! I went there 4 times in 3 days and had no regrets. The ONLY problem with this place is that it's super expensive, so make sure you just got PAID before visiting. The menu is huge and EVERY burger I've had has been so DELICIOUS. Another burger bar? Yes. This one is worth it though. There isn't a real big burger selection to choose from, but this means they can focus their attention on making the ones delicious and tasty. I had 'sweet thang' with bacon and blue cheese sauce, which was like a flashback of a burger I had once in NZ at a place called Fergburger. It was sooo good (both). I love blue cheese in a burger! It wasn't over-powering for me. The meat was tender and juicy, and the burger bun was soft and not too thick. If the bun is too thick you can't eat it, but this was a perfect bite size. The free cucumber and lemon water on tap is also a nice touch. The bar staff are friendly and polite. I think they even remember their regulars I see. My son is regular here and has been raving about the burgers since it opened. I have to agree. Three of us had the Goucho and it was prepared superbly. Even the bowl of chips was one of the best I have had in ages. This is not a standard burger bar mind you. This is upscale, befitting its King William rd address. Incredible service and food! The owner is so friendly and hospitable as well as the staff. Great tasting food, I CANNOT get over how amazing their shakes are though!!!!
