A large selection of moderately nice Burgers.. Alas not 'top shelf' like many around but better than some fast food chains.

Well, I had seen this place around, so I thought that it might be cool to visit it. Yeah, it turned out to be pretty good, certainly much better than a lot of the other fast food places I'd visited, but then again it does happen to be an independent burger joint. Yeah, I liked it.

A tasty and solid burger - and for a decent price too! 127 Days may not be in the nicest part of…read moretown, but the good stuff normally isn't! The cute little burger bar has a funky interior to offset the seedy surrounds and a menu with a great range of choices for lunch and dinner (if you dare to come after dark..!) Today I ordered the Cheese Banga and a side of #tags (a variation on chips, deep fried pieces of potato in the shape of a # symbol). I was impressed by the quick and friendly service and when my burger hit the table I was impressed by its size - at only $8, (plus $4 for the #tags) it certainly was worth the price! The enormous pattie went right to the edges of the well sized bun and the first bite of the burger was delicious - cheesy, saucey and yummy! I did notice that the pattie itself was a bit bland however it was redeemed with the addition of flavours from the sauces. The accompanying #tags were a nice difference to chips and I loved how crispy they were however they were pretty greasy and could have done with some kind of interesting seasoning... I think I'll certainly be back - and hopefully they start to get a bit creative with the burger patties to push the review up to a five star!

I especially love their $10 burgers with free fries and drink before 3pm everyday special for some of the burgers. The wings are the absolute bomb! Very friendly service, greeted and served meal with a smile on their face, will definitely be going back again!

So I had heard mixed reviews about burger foundry, the only reason I went was I had a concert (city…read moreand colour wooo woo dallas green) at Thebby and needed some food! Cute little place, perfect amount of seating, good prices, I decided I was epicly hungry, so I ordered the Berenburger, which was a beef patty, beetroot, egg, bacon and heck knows what other goodness but it was huge, I need spice so added chipotle to my burger. Sweet potato fries with aioli always a must anywhere on the side... Then my epic burger arrived, half way through eating it I realised the chipotle chilli's were actually sundried chipotles, they were the tastiest mini mouth explosion ever. It made the whole burger. The meat was not over cooked, no gristle, no junk, it was smooth and full of flavour. The only reason i removed one star is because when a franchise or a business has another location the other location should match in quality and a week after visiting this site i needed my hit and went to the Magill one and things just weren't the same. Final note: If there is a chilli option, no matter what it is, hot sauce, chilli's whatever, always opt to add it!

We decided to go to Burgastronomy in North Adelaide because all the restaurants around us were closed on a Sunday evening in downtown Adelaide-the Fringe be damned. So we hopped into the car and made a dash to North Adelaide, where you can almost always find several options for chow. We were in two groups, and when the first of us arrived we had the place almost to ourselves (an uncommon occurrence, as they are usually packed when we drive by). Although this is an order-at-the-counter establishment, we we were greeted by the staff who gave us some recommendations on the bottled cider and the burgers. We said we were waiting for someone and just wanted ciders to start-they suggested getting some sweet potato chips (fries) while we waited. That turned out to be a great suggestion. We finally got around to ordering, and after a short wait our beautiful burgers were delivered. The Trucker Burger includes egg and bacon. The egg was fried to perfection, gently oozing yolk at the first bite. The burger was large, but well prepared. Unlike some "gourmet" burgers where the meat is more like a meatball than a patty, the Burgastronomy burgers have a nicely shaped patty so you can eat the sandwich without dislocating your jaw in the process. So was the Trucker Burger better than a Double-Double from In-and-Out in the USA? Hard to say--they are so different in concept. But, there is no doubt that the Trucker Burger is a great sandwich--probably the best burger I've had in Adelaide. And you can't get a cider with your burger at In-and-Out! Combine great burgers with their friendly, cheerful service and you've got a winning combination. This place goes on the JD recommended list. Remember, eat drink and be merry, but not too much. JD
