While waiting for my order, I observed the bearded man preparing the raw salads wiping the sweat from his beard, his forehead, and wiping his nose with his hands. He then proceeded to unload buns from the freezer, touching the kitchen and freezer doors. After carrying a pallet of buns to the kitchen, he then wiped his hands on his dirty apron and pants, then *without washing his hands* GRABBED FRESH LETTUCE AND TOMATO AND PREPARED A BURGER.
I politely asked the older man behind the counter if he was the manager. He stated that he was, and, not wanting to make a public display, I gestured and asked if I could speak with him. He says. "Whaddya want mate, I'm busy!"
After this disgusting impression, I explained that I had seen the employee preparing food in an un-hygenic way without washing his hands, would not be needing the order any longer, and would like a refund.
***THE MANAGER REFUSED TO REFUND!!!***
What a DISGUSTING lack of customer service, that the manager would rather have upset customers leave bad reviews than provide good service, an apology and a refund.
This was not just a matter of "they got my order wrong" this was a blatant health code violation.
Why are those bearded men who prepare the food NOT required to wear a beard net?
Disgusting, a VERY poor representation of the service you would get in the USA at a REAL Wisconsin burger joint. read more
