I had done my research and pretty much already knew what I was after, but it's good to see what's on offer. The unit i was looking at was available at places like JB, sure, but the folks at Northfield are experts, and their prices are on par with JB anyhow. The guy I spoke to showed me a couple models (plenty of great stuff out there) but I went with the one I had already picked out. He didn't try to up sell me things I didn't need, was quite honest with me about the gear, with no pressure. In the end the decision was mine. They were able to put it in right away, so I left my keys and went off to do a few things. On my return he showed me how to use it and also hooked up my phone through the bluetooth. Too easy! Look, is it cheaper to buy the gear online and install it yourself? Sure is. But if you have a newer car, take a look online and see just what you have to do to get to the speakers. I'm happy to let the experts rip out my back seat and entire trim to get to the rear speakers when I get around to upgrading them.

Then they extended it by another week, making it three weeks. After that, they deferred it by yet another week. Today, they are saying it will be ready next week, which will make it a total of five weeks. This kind of service is unacceptable. They don't seem to know when they can finish the task, and if that's the case, they shouldn't have taken the car in the first place. For the first two weeks, they blamed RACQ, claiming that approval was delayed. But what are they doing now? They've deferred the completion three more times since then. Last week, they said the car was painted and needed to dry, and it would be delivered this week. Today, they're saying the same thing again--that it's painted and needs to dry. This is absolutely absurd and frustrating.
