Four months on from my wellness visit I am being hounded by labcorp for payment due to an original…read moremiscoding when ordering lab work for me. They didn't code the visit as a wellness visit and coded as a meet and greet with a new doctor. This was despite me not requesting a change of primary care provider. The change was only necessary because the provider left McLeod. After I got bills from McLeod , I contacted them and they eventually corrected their own bill but they are refusing to contact labcorp with updated coding so that labcorp can correct their bill. I have spent too many hours of my time on the phone with blue cross and with labcorp and they both tell my it has to be the provider who initially ordered the blood draws that has to contact them in order for this to be corrected.

They would not allow me back to see him or talk to the dr. The charge nurse was no better and didn't want to hear anything I said. I did nothing wrong, I was in tears and so worried. These women should not be in the nursing profession they have no people skills, kindness or compassion. I will be filing a formal complaint and will not stop until I'm sure no one else will have to go through what I did. Also he was sent home in the same condition as he came. He asked me to take him to a different hospital. We went to seacoast McLeod And he was admitted. On a good note they were so very very kind and compassionate and treated his condition with the concern it deserved. It was the best hospital experience you could have asked for. On multiple occasions I've felt this practice had let me down. While living in Fayetteville, I'd go…read morethere with multiple issues I'd like to talk to Dr sturcken about and I'd be told I'd need to schedule another apt to discuss more than one issue at a time. This was really disheartening. On another occasion I visited the office for an apt and needed blood work. After the visit with Dr Sturcken, I was talking with the lady taking blood and mentioned an issue I thought I may have and asked if they were taking blood for my thyroid as well. She said no but she could easily add it. Dr. Sturcken literally got frustrated and stated, "I already put your charts away," and was upset that she now needed to get them back out and add that. The latest upset is due to me moving out of state. A prescription I have is ending soon and I don't have a dr apt here for three months. Mind you, it took me a year to find a new dr, so I understand the inability to see me to renew more prescriptions. I was just hopeful she could refill it for a couple more months. She said no, so I asked if I should cut them in half to hold me over and she said she can't offer advice on that. I guess just overall, I've had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Sturcken.

I have been waiting three weeks to have them call my mail in pharmacy for preauthorization of my diabetes medication. That pharmacy has been calling them for over a month. Nothing. I have called their office and left text and left voice messages about this too. Still no pre authorization! It is NOT good to be out of diabetes medication for so long. I have also been waiting for a week to have a different prescription sent to my local pharmacy. Again. Not done, despite my reminder calls to their office. This is not the first time this has happened either. I think I'll be better off at an urgent care.

He asked where I was from, and when I said New York, he said, "Oh. I'm sorry. Welcome to civilization." I found this extremely rude and disrespectful, especially in a medical environment where patients should feel safe and well-taken care of. I have no idea why this person thought he had the right to make a comment like that to a patient, but I will not be coming back here.
