Conflicted whether to go ahead and give them 5 stars or 4 stars, simply over pricing. I took 3 pairs of jeans to be cowboy starched, and a jumpsuit to be cleaned and the total came out to $53. The jumpsuit alone was $17.50 for laundry service and it is nothing too fancy. Jeans were $11.75 each which is pricey, but it is high quality service. I will likely continue to come here since since the kiosk ability is about the only way I can drop off/ pick up with my work schedule. Everyone I've called was very nice and prompt to answer questions. I dropped off my items on Saturday and was able to pick up after work on Tuesday. Only real "complaint" would be that on the website it states new customers can get 25% off their first order. I went to add the coupon when I paid and it said the coupon code was invalid. CONSUMER BEWARE! I had the very unfortunate experience of dropping off one of my husband's nice suits at Burke cleaners in Windsor. When picked up, the pants were clearly discolored with what appeared to be a scorching or cleaner-type of stain on both thighs equally, same exact spot. When I took them back in, one of the employees said that it looked like they left the iron that they press the pants with on that spot for too long and it burnt them. She then stated that the manager would contact me to discuss reimbursement of the pants. The Regional Manager Shannon contacted me the next day and told me that this was a "consumer-related defect". I asked her what that meant since I dropped off the pants in perfect condition and picked them up unwearable. She then stated she will be sending me "literature" regarding how this can happen and stains would appear only after dry cleaning and that it's really the customer's fault. I then reminded her that the discoloration was in the exact same spot on both thighs and that nothing was there when I dropped off. She then got very mean and actually said, "Listen, I'm not sure what you're not getting here, but this wasn't our fault!!!!" She was so rude and so unkind that I was in shock a "Manager" would ever speak to a customer like that. Even IF the company was not at fault (which I seriously doubt in this case), there really is no excuse to speak to a customer this way. I did let her know that I would be writing a review because this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have EVER had then she again became aggressive and stated, "What so now you're going to blast me on social media because we wouldn't replace your pants?!" Again, in complete shock that the company would put someone like this in any sort of leadership position. I'm sure they do a fine job the majority of the time, but I highly suggest reconsidering sending them anything that is expensive as they will make every excuse possible (like made up stains that only appear after they clean it) to avoid compensating a customer for something that they damaged. read more

Perhaps I'm not up to date on how much dry cleaning costs, because I was somewhat taken aback at the cost to clean 2 coats....however I did ask for, and received a 25% discount on my order which helped. Burke Cleaners in Windsor is clever with adding on to the basic cleaning prices. Without telling the customer, there is an extra charge for pressing a crease in shirt sleeves. Also, for cleaning a basic polyester filled comforter, an extra cost was assessed because the edge of the comforter was darker.. In actuality, the comforter was edged with a beige trim and needed no extra attention. Watch out for Burke Cleaners add-on charges!! read more
