I found Dr Ayoughi to be very easy going, friendly, knowledgeable and funny! Implants can feel a bit scary somehow, but I actually enjoyed coming to the clinic! The staff at Parkview are amazing. From hygenists, to dental assistants, to office coordinator, to admin staff, every one is friendly and efficient. Unfortunately over my last few visits, I found myself in the hands of other dentists at the clinic and to be honest it felt like I was experiencing student work. Everything from not being given the "lead bib / Apron" during multiple ex-rays (They started with it, then had to redo the ex-rays a few times and No Bib) to dealing with a student assistant that was very nervous and not knowing the instruments (the original assistant called in sick at the last minute) to being put almost upside down while getting a root canal (Very uncomfortable Position!), to having temp filing pop-out. The last 3 visits were 1) A root canal and crown, (not done by Dr.Ayoughi) I had to return 3 times due to temp falling out and pain. The first time they re-cemented the temp that had poped-out, the 2nd time they tried adjusting the crown with no success 2 weeks after installing it. 3) The third time I was still in pain, I demanded to bee seen by Dr. Ayoughi and he was very nice in explaining what might be going on and did more adjustments and told me his assistant would check-in with me in 1 week or 2 to see how I felt as he was leaving on Vacation and she did, she left a message as I was unable to answer the call at the time. I returned the call that evening and left a message saying that I was still in pain, at that point it became "Radio silence" never heard back! I had to go to another Dental clinic to get checked and that's where they told me that the root canal was excellent but the crown was to close to the bone and that was the pain / discomfort I was feeling. 2 options were given to me 1) an expensive surgery to repair the problem or 2) let time do the work and allow bone matter to grow. Parkview Dental was one of the very best service I'd ever receive in a dental clinic, until I was switched around without being asked and passed around to other dentists in the clinic, then the quality of work went downhill. I unfortunately had to move on to an other clinic. The front staff has always been good and accommodating. PS: That was not my first root canal, I've had a few, so I'm well aware of how it should go and feel.

My dentist Dr.Lum is always very patient and professional - I have A LOT of anxiety when it comes to the dentist after having multiple painful experiences elsewhere, and will even get teary during a cleaning. Dr.Lum always makes a point to check in with me throughout my appointment, and explains everything she is doing so I always know what to expect. Everything in the office is top of the line and they are exceptionally clean. I've always found the front desk staff to be friendly and definitely haven't experienced the "up sell" that others have complained of.

When you first walk into the place, the assistants are friendly, helpful, and genuinely smile at you. I have personally been working with Dr. Ryan Lauwers, who has done a wonderful job. Upon joining the clinic, Dr. Lauwers gave me a full inspection, so their records would be fully up-to-date. No big deal, right? Not only did he do this, but he proceeded to explain to me each of the tests that he performed, in simple, easy to understand words. The testing was comprehensive - covering things as far as my jaw. In terms of actual procedures, this place has been a gem. It's about as easy and painless as it gets. I had to have a wisdom tooth removed about a month ago. It was causing me pain, and I was worried, because Christmas was coming up. The practice immediately fitted me, less than 5 days. A different dentist, Dr. Sara Bishara, performed the procedure, and was so gentle and kind. She was sociable and friendly, making sure I didn't experience any discomfort, and also quick. This practice is a phenomenal find.

He said we need to do a root canal now. So I made an appointment but I missed it due to a family emergency. So after taking the Antibiotic for a week, the pain came back after a month and I made an appointment to see him. I walked in the clinic, from his secretary to dental hygienist and the dentist himself were after me for missing the appointment and dr yu clearly said "I am not lecturing you but as business person I lost the sale and had to pay my staff. You should have given us 24 hr notice to cancel so I could have used that time and I lost so much money because of you guys....and you got the estimate for your daughters Invisalign and never got them done". We have been going to this dentist since 2002, we don't have any dental insurance and we have to pay each time from my pocket. For my daughter I paid whatever the consultation was but he quoted an amount that I couldn't afford at that moment so we never anything done from him or any others dentist. For my husband he said it will be cheaper if you just get filling done for now but you need a root canal as it would be cheaper to just have the filling done. He charged me 380 dollars and for root canal it would only be another 300. He didn't give me any price point if though I asked him twice. And now the pain I had gone through for about 2 weeks and now again I am in pain or a week. Who is accountable for the pain I am going through. He just cares for money that's it. He is just a business man not a dentist.

The dentists are awesome and nice especially, Dr. Mike Chen who is very calm, kind, and professional. He is indeed one of the best. You will feel secure and well-taken care of. He explains every procedure before he starts, during the procedure, and after. He makes sure you are okay before proceeding to the next step and not just rush. I have my 3 wisdom tooth extraction on the same day, and Mr. Chen and his assistant did an excellent job. I did not feel nervous even if it was my first time, and I did not feel any pain during the extraction. It was also done quickly and a feeling that visiting a dental clinic can be fun too :)

Ian takes the time to listen to his patient's concerns, and nothing is overlooked. Ian is very meticulous in his examinations, but considerate of his patients at the same time. Connie, at reception, is nothing short of amazing; if you had issues prior to seeing Dr. McDonald, she will usually call the next day to ensure you're comfortable, and not experiencing any pain/issues. I can honestly say that this is the best experience I've had at a dental practice, and I hope they will be around for a long time to come!
