If I could give negative stars at this point I would. My neighbor hired Burkes to do her water line, they at the time of doing her work punched a hole through our city sewer line, told us they did it and said they repaired it. Since then we have had issues of gurgling in our drains which has never happened before. Sunday/fathers day I went to take a shower and water started to backflow into the shower, everything was blocked. My husband spent from 11 am until 4 pm that day trying to remove the blockage so we called burkes and they wanted to charge us $450 per hour to come fix it so I got ahold of a different plumber instead. He ran his camera and took pictures clearly showing the gap where they broke the line originally and showing the blockage at that break. After 3 days Burkes has told us that they will NOT be repairing the issue and fixing their break. And that the next time it blocks up we are required to call them to come out to view it so they can determine that their break is what caused the blockage. This house has been owned by my family for 70+ years and the sewer line is relatively new as the city hooked it up. There have not been any blockages or issues ever in the past that have required a professional to come fix in the entire lifetime of this home until Burkes broke the sewer line when doing work at my neighbors. This is a problem that was caused by this company and not by me as the home owner. I am posting pictures from the other plumber that shows their break and the blockage starting at their break. Their reason for not fixing it is because they cannot prove that the break caused the blockage, mind you the pictures I am sharing are of my CURRENT sewer line where they "fixed" their break a year ago. read more

Can't complain about the service. However, way, way overpriced for new kitchen sink faucet.

I had Burkes come out for a clogged drain in Kitchen . The person unplugged our drain from top od roof. He went about 1/3 way of length of house with snake. He also checked out our water purification system to make sure that was no problem. He left house with problem solved and mess cleaned up. What impressed me was about a week later he called to make sure all was ok. In these days who goes that anymore. Our community well had a leak and new water meters installed huge job and again they did very good. Highly recommended. Pictures of work doing water main and meters. read more

If there was a negative star I'd give them that, they did not check if there was a pressure reducer which would have solved the issue and we ended up paying for a new water heater. they also did not take responsibility for there bad electrical connection which we had to fix. also their pricing was high. read more

They installed a vanity and had to move the water line and shut off as well as the vent. It was a one person job as the space they had to work was very small. The plumber did a great job but he brought an apprentice along and charge $75.00 additional an hour for the apprentice that stood around or carried a few parts to him. They billed 4.5 hours for the job and the total cost was $1,194.05. The complaint I had was that the labor for the apprentice was $337.50. I argued that he did very little and I should not have to pay for his on the job training, when he mostly stood around. I complained to the owner and he would do nothing about it. We feel they charged way to much for the project. Mark up on materials was also very high. read more

We had an issue that required Burkes to move our water heater so some work could be done. They also had to take care of some plumbing issues in our kitchen and bathroom. They showed up on time, hooked up our water heater so we would have hot water and cold to the house while work was being done. The guys were so professional and really great to work with. Once the work was done they were right there to reconnect everything. Just a great company to work with. read more

We bought 5 toilets to have installed. We called Burke and asked what it would cost to hav these toilets installed. They said about $100 per toilet. This seemed reasonable to us. Having done lots of projects we always assume at least 20% higher than what quoted. ( considering possibly $600 for the installation) We scheduled the installation. They came and installed the toilets and charged us $1300. This was 2 1/2 times what they said it would be. This was the first problem. If it costs $250 to install a toilet why quote $100? Upon installation one of the toilets did not flush correctly. The installer said he would come back and take care of it if the issue continued. We also noticed that one one of the toilets the floor caps had not been installed. We called the installer and explained the issues we were having. He said he would stop by the next day. No show. We spoke to him again later in the week, again, no show. Because of extenuating circumstances we were out of town for a few weeks and couldn't deal with the issue. When we returned we set up an appointment for them to come fix it. They did not show up the day it was scheduled to be repaired. When my husband called their office they said they would come out the next morning. They sent a different technician than the original guys the next morning. When the tech got here, he asked my husband to sign a release form before he would look at the toilet. Needing the toilet to be addressed my husband signed the paper. The technician snaked the toilet and gave us ANOTHER bill for $200. It took 15 minutes on the phone with the office to get it cleared up that we were not paying another $200 for something that had been installed improperly. Their lack of service and misrepresentation of pricing is the reason I will never use Burke plumbing ever again. read more

Don't bother calling Burke Plumbing. Don't make my mistake. They replaced my leaking water heater very quickly, which was appreciated. Later I found out they adjusted the settings on the water pipes to the clothes washer and even the settings on the washer itself. These adjustments nearly ruined the machine. Stop right now and hire someone else! Here is what happened to us: Called for an estimate and met with a manager. Two plumbers (at $202.50 an hour total) showed up to work and we never got an estimate as manager "forgot." In a time crunch so we let them proceed anyway. My mistake for trusting them. They proceeded to not know what they were doing and went on a "parts run" after showing up and having to call in to see what they were suppose to do. After that hour, they finally started work. Day two the same two plumbers had to call into work as they weren't sure what to do again and went on another "parts run" after they showed up to our house. On the final day, two new guys showed up and didn't know what to do and spent nearly an hour on the phone off and on with the manager. Now the fun....the bill. They charged us for the two parts runs and for their hour long lunches on 2 of the 3 days. That is a total of $810 for two guys to eat and drive around!! If that wasn't enough of a shock they also up-charged all the parts, put the hot water tank line in backwards and even though we wrote it in ink on the wall that the washer and dryer would be stackable, they plumbed for side by sides. Sooo, Burke sent out a new guy to fix on their dollar. We overheard him say on the phone that he had no idea what these guys were doing. We have now been fighting Burke over the last 6 weeks for the $810 reimbursement for their driving and lunch time. We didn't even ask for reimbursement for all that time on the phone or their breaks smoking in their van. All they kept saying over and over, week after week was that "the check will go out tomorrow." Well it finally came....$202. Don't ever use Burke Plumbing. They should be ashamed. read more

"Had a mid morning appointment scheduled today Monday 10/12/2020 with Burke. Burke no show!!! no call!!! I get a anonymous call at 3:15pm. I return call.. return call with no answer no voice mail set up..I call again. PLUMBER told me to call office to reschedule since i didn't answer phone solicitor. My hot water in the bathtub was intermittent. Said I needed a new hot water tank. It was the cartridge in the faucet after all not the hot water tank. Wanted a fifty Gallon tank, they put in a forty gallon. Also was to fix the stopper in the bathroom sink, which leaked after the replacement. Charged me $1800.00. Refused to make it right. They suggested a refund of the labor and they would remove the forty gallon tank. They hauled my fifty gallon away so I'd be without a tank. Also would charge me $600.00 for the cartridge repair in the faucet. After many letters back and forth and their refusal to make it right I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I had a leak in my irrigation line which is connected to a Rosa irrigation gateway. I stopped by Burke Plumbing and they offered their services. I showed a picture of the leak and had already exposed the pipe. I stated a 4 inch pipe. That afternoon a plumber showed. He only had 3 inch pipes so had to return to get the 4 inch fittings. He then cut the existing pipe but was not prepared to stop the leakage which comes from Rosa gateways. After spending time trying to bail out an unending flow, he called for help. Another truck shows up but no equipment to stop the pipe from leaking. Finally another truck shows up with an inflatable balloon which stopped the leakage. It was getting to the end of the day so they came back the next morning to attach the couplings and pipe to complete the job. Meanwhile I was billed 4.5 hours for their journey man and 4.5 hours for an apprentice. Considering the job should have been 2-3 hours and performed by one journey man the charge was extreme. Firstly a one man job at $150 an hour should have been the amount charged. Why I was charged for their apprentice is beyond me. Then when I complained I was assured Rich would call back and we could discuss my issues. He never did. So I ended paying $225 an hour for fixing my leak and charged for 9 man hours. I have three bathrooms and all of the toilets had issues, ranging from loose handles to constant running. One was so hard to flush that we just didn't use it. Burke sent out two guys, Weston and an apprentice. Both were polite, friendly, and worked quickly. Wes directed me towards the coupon online, which saved me a nice chunk of change. Two hours later, I had a brand new toilet and two completely rebuilt toilets. I would definitely recommend Burke Plumbing for their fast and professional service. read more

I hired Burkes Plumbing to clean out two main lines at two different properties. Upon the guy arriving at the first property, he informed me that they did not guarantee their work, this should have been a red flag, but I thought surely this is what they do for a living they can handle it. He pulled his equipment out and as he was going down the side of the house, there were some rose branches hanging out a bit. He broke them off and stomped them down to the ground and broke both of them off. NOW I have a full wooden fence that he could have stuck the branches in or there were two adults available he could have asked for help if he was unsure. They did not block the walkway they were just hanging over it. After that, he set out to clean the mainline. He ran a snake down it and then I was there when they ran water from the house and noticed it was still running slow. I asked about it and he insisted that I needed to have a camera ran down the line because there was probably damage since it still wasn't working correctly. So, I consented to have the camera ran down the line only to see that the line was indeed still very clogged. He got a bigger snake out to try to clear the line, it did not work it was unable to clear the clog, at this point there was only a 1-1 1/2 inch clearing in the line where the clog was which was causing there still to be a backup, It was small enough his flashlight size camera could not get through it and is shown as the white mass in picture 5. I asked why he wasn't able to clear the line, And he then said that I needed to pay to have it "jetted out" and he had the equipment with him to do it at an added fee of course. I then told him I was not giving him any more money if he was not even able to clear the line in the first place, he then got offended and kind of nasty with me and asked if it thought he was unable to do his job, to which I replied I felt he was unable to clear the line obviously since it was still clogged. He then went and got my bill, had me sign, although he would not let me see what I was signing, it was on an iPad type device and it was at the signature page and when I asked to see it he said it was just that he had come out and he would not leave until I signed. I signed and paid him $438.26. Now, we are in the same situation we were in when he showed up, the line is still clogged and he resolved nothing. And since they do not guarantee anything, I am just out of luck. I would suggest that you not hire them, and I did cancel my second job I had intended for them to do. read more

Poor customer service. My elderly father used them to repair a leaking pipe. The next day after the repairs were done the pipe appeared to be leaking again. When my father called to ask them to come inspect their work, he was told he would not receive a bill for this follow up. However he received a bill in the mail for $131.00. When I phoned the company to inquire about this bill, I was told the owner would call me back. Which never happened. Also when the technician came to inspect the work he shut the water off and left without turning it back on leaving my elderly father without water. read more

We used Burke for a dishwasher install. The two guys they sent over were extremely courteous and friendly. They were on site less than 45 minutes after calling for an appointment. They were great people to have in the house for the install. In regards to the quality of the install, meh...the next day I actually had to fix something on it but the install area was a little strange. Pricing, I don't have a lot of experience with plumbing costs in the area but from what I've experienced they seem to be a little cheaper than some of the other names in the valley. Worst plumbing ever. Pipes backed up, came out 4 days later, snakes them, I paid $173 for it. Next day, showered and I did ONE load of laundry. My tub, toilet and sink over flowed! Water went into the kitchen and dining area. It was just after 5 so I left a message with emergency number, they called back and said snaking the pipes wasn't guaranteed or covered in a warranty, even if it was just done less than 24 hours earlier. He told me it would cost $250 to come out and do it again!!!! What a joke!!! I'll never use them again or recommend their services. read more

Our regular plumber came out a few months ago on another issue and charged 1/2 a service call on a job that took them 15 minutes. So I asked them to come out and take a look under my house because a pipe was broken and leaking. I had water under there and my shower was completely backed up. They came out and literally took a look under the house and let us know the whole piping under the house needed to be fixed because the pipe from the shower leading into the main pipe was broken. Needless to say they didn't even go down there they just looked under there let us know that it would cost about $1,500 to redo all the piping. Since we're not educated in the plumbing department we trusted their opinion based on reviews. They let me know they would call me Monday to schedule a day to come out. Thursday rolled around and I never heard from them. I called roto rooter and they came out since Burke was in no rush to help out or reach out to let me know I would need to get in contact with a company to have the water removed from house. Needless to say roto rooter found the problem...the pipe leading from my washing machine was the pipe that had in fact broke and it was replaced...as for the clogged drain..hair way down the pipe got stuck and had accumulated over the years. Saved over a $1000 to get it relooked at. They even said the pipe that was supposedly broken was completely in tact. Then to make it even worse they send me a $140 bill to come look at the issue I had called about and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but charge me for an estimate!!! Scandalous company or people who don't know their plumbing. I will be disputing this charge for the estimate. Who charges for that? Will never call this place for services read more
