Long story short, my truck was parked in my garage, Tony had to be innovative using jumper cables and a jump starter pack simultaneously to get truck started. He took his time loading truck on tow bed and ensured my truck would arrive safely to repair shop. I'm not sure of A-1's history with customer satisfaction but Tony was truly professional, caring and is an asset to A-1 Towing & Recovery.

He acted hostile, refused to let me ride with him, and made the experience unpleasant. This was my first tow and the lack of upfront communication, along with the aggressive attitude, makes me confident in saying I'd never recommend this company. Update: After posting this review, the manager called and apologized for the driver's behavior. He explained that charging to move the vehicle so it can be towed is against their policy. He also said they'd reprimand the driver and install dash cams on all their trucks to make keep their drivers accountable. While I appreciate the apology, it came across more like damage control than a genuine effort to understand what went wrong or prevent it from happening again. It felt like pressure to get me to change my review, not true accountability. That said, I'm updating this to two stars because I hope this isn't how the company normally operates. If they follow through on these changes and more customers share positive experiences, they may well deserve a second chance. I have personally worked with Gustavo on a multitude of such occasions where when I'm a in rut without a doubt I would always phone him. His kindness alongside professionalism is always appreciated and never the less, and he always goes above and beyond at his job and sincerely cares and puts effort in taking care of not only my vehicles but also my friends and family's vehicles alongside his other clients he's always been very kind and supportive in circumstances where I freak out at times during summer I had a friend come from Wisconsin a Manuel Subaru, unfortunately, she blew the engine on the highway due to her lack of knowledge of how to properly drive a stick shift, we were alongside a busy highway and Gustavo was able to get us out of the situation very fast he was very understanding and he got a driver to come and get us within less than 20 minutes! Talk about quick and efficient, another occasion was with a catfish Camaro I had, it was a project car and I initially had it sitting and I decided to drive on it briefly eyeing the tires. I drove on a flat tire after paying respects at a cemetery and couldn't make it home due to my rim scraping alongside the tire completely demolished and I had to get my car towed his brother was very caring as they initially thought someone broke into the car (it was a project car) they quickly and efficiently called me to let me know my door was opened. Eventually, we were able to get up with them and have them come out to help my husband with his flat tire in the school parking lot. The guy who showed up was reasonably quick and polite, taking the spare tire from our backseat and replacing the flat within 5 minutes or so. We were then able to drive the car directly to a Firestone to have the tire more permanently replaced. My husband reported that the wheel squealed during the 10-minute drive to Firestone, and I have no way of knowing whether that's normal for a spare tire. But hey, this guy was reasonably fast and courteous and the job got done. Thanks. I didn't consider $50 to change a tire a significant amount of money, especially for people like us who know nothing about auto repair. I found it a little odd that they charge you an extra $5 to pay by credit card. These days very few people walk around carrying physical cash, so it seems like most people in our position wouldn't have the option of going to an ATM, if they had a flat and were stranded by the side of the road. But, whatever. Even a $5 surcharge isn't that important.
