I like this store for its prices, and being able to find great brands for less. However, I can't deal with the long wait on the line. This is a huge department store which means it needs to have enough managers and employees etc to maintain it. There are 22 cash registers, only 4 employees was on register while the line was so long that it extended out through the store yesterday evening 1/24/2020. This was the worst. The store at Kings Plaza has the same issue. I probably was standing online for over an hour. I had my 8 year old with me who started complaining, our experience was very frustrating. This supposed to be a store for family. But it's not accommodating for family. Also the store can be more functional with products being more organized. This is the 21St century where technology is very advance and things comes very quickly to people. I don't need to be standing on line this long wasting my precious time when I can seat in the privacy of my home with no stress either on my phone or laptop ordering for similar products on amazon and use the rest of that time on doing my laundry.... read more

Okay so maybe this store has rats...I didn't see any on the two or three occasions I was shopping there just before and after Thanksgiving...but apparently fellow yelper Koku had a close encounter. Better her than me! lol Read her review if you haven't...it's a scream! Anyway, I came here looking for a warm but fashionable 3/4 length coat. Yes, I know...3/4 won't keep you warm in NY but I live in the Bay Area and full length is just too much coat. It rarely falls below 35 degrees where I live. Thus, since NYers don't really need a coat that length I thought I might have a better chance of finding one that I like. I guess I thought right because not only did I find one that I liked, I found several and I wrestled with which one I would buy. I finally ended up choosing a chic and stylish wool/cashmere blend from the Italian brand Via Spiga. This coat is so well tailored that it looks like it was made to fit me personally, and it is oh so warm and toasty for just $170. What a deal! And you should see the beautiful lining...so elegantly feminine....a very classy coat. I also found my favorite perfume for a very good price....Issey Miyake for women...$55. I saw a few purses that I liked, but nothing I couldn't live without. They had some decent winter boots, as well. I wouldn't recommend coming here looking for something really specific, but it is definitely worth checking out to see what you might find. They have men's, women's, and children's sections as well as sections dedicated to home decorating and furnishings. read more

Well where do i start about this branch . I'll start with the Pros. Wide variety of children's clothing, in all different price range. I was able to find some cute designer things here, Michael Kors Skirt for $25 ( I get compliments on every time i wear it!) Nine west clothing, Puma and Adidas Running suits ( all for a fraction of the price you would pay at another department store.) Ohhh and if you hit the store at the right time you will be able to fine some great deals on shoes! Betsey Johnson, Nine West, Jessica Simpson, Steve Madden, Carlos Santana, just to name a few. And men they do have GREAT deals on suits here! HUbby buys his Blazers and Suits here. Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, DKNY..........lots of designer suits for a great price. And if you need a tailor there is one instore who can help you :) The Cons. You have to hit this store at the right time to find things you might like because i do find alot of stuff to be just garbage . It's a mess here in the late afternoon, and on the weekends. I come to this Burlington Coat Factory branch pretty often. I like this one a lot. I don't really buy the clothes here because they can be a little on the gaudy side. This BCF is really good for accessories and other small items. I always find some good socks, boxers, colognes, bedding and ties here. I'm a big fan of their coats and colognes. If your willing to look through a couple million coat racks your almost guaranteed to find something really nice for a cheap price. Yesterday I snagged myself some firm Izod pillows for ten smackers! Made my day. The staff there are pretty nice and helpful. I got hit on by the cashier chick once and she tried to steal my phone number off of the customer survey thing but who could be mad at that. One of them even helped me out picking cologne once.(Extra shouts to her. I am terrible at making decisions) They could use a little help here with the checkout lines. Every time I go there they're doing some kind of weird scheme where your never too sure what's the customer service line and what's the checkout line until you've waited for twenty minutes on the wrong one. They still handle lines better than the Marshals down stairs. Overall, good selection and cheap prices makes this BCF a winner. read more

Bottom-line they have a great selection of clothes for men. The price of most of the items that you pick up will surprise you. here is something i don't understand - there are only two registers open, the lines are snaking around the store as if we were camping outside a venue for a concert and there are at least THREE workers at each register, making jokes and talking about their weekend plans. WHAT?!? open another register already! argh. i don't often go to burlington - i find their clothing a bit gauche...however they have a decent home section and every once in a while i can find a pair of shoes. if you're a dude you might have better luck - it seems their men's section is way better. but don't forget to bring a book - that line is a killer! read more

Was looking for a coat, so what better place to look than here? I went on Saturday afternoon with my roommate, hoping to find a warm, hooded coat - preferably with a checkered design. The Ladies Coats section was organized well enough and I was able to find what I was looking for pretty easily - and for only $40! That definitely made me happy. There were also mirrors at the end of the racks so you didn't have to go far to find one. Afterwards, I waited for my roomie, who was perusing the womyn's clothing and could tell that there were some definite cheap finds awaiting those with the time to search. Another plus is that the fitting room was not crowded all. I could've done without the two employees having an extended vent-fest with each other, though. The only major drawback I experienced were the lines at the register. I don't understand why they don't just open a couple of express lines but at least my cashier was friendly. read more

How did I somehow not know that this store was in the Atlantic Center Mall for eons? I'm not sure. It's tucked away on the top floor, and if you didn't intend on going there, you're not likely to just walk past it. Anyway, it's not quite as good as the BCF way out on Staten Island, but it sure is more convenient to get to. I took my time looking through the not-very-organized racks and ended up getting around 7 items, all in the $10-and-under price range. The line was nowhere near as long or as slow as that in the Marshall's downstairs. No complaints here! read more

I think most people that have been shopping for over 20 years will know what to expect in a dept store on the weekends or holidays, long lines. However, it moves at a decent pace and there are other items like snacks to pick up while you're waiting on line. If you don't have patience, don't shop here. I don't like the shoe/sneakers dept because they don't have a wide variety and sizes and sometimes it's a mess. I usually shop here for household items, clothing and occasionally coats. The prices are good and I like the fact that it's a wide, open space and most items are usually displayed neatly. read more

This spot is good for designer names for less. Tons and tons of coats in the back and all sizes are available! The sale associates on the floor are non-existent, so be prepared to phish around for the items you want. I swear the cashiers are very young , because I have not seen one over 24 years of age. Buyers Beware! There is a woman and her daughter walking around Burlington trying to scam people out of their hard earned money. The daughter carelessly left her phone on a shopping cart; it dropped as my husband was passing by, then she pretended that the screen cracked at that moment and tried to blame my husband when he didn't even touch the shopping cart. She then threatened to call the cops if we didn't pay them $60. For What?!! Burlington should do something about these low life scam artists walking around harrassing their customers and trying to steal people's money while they shop. read more

I have a strange appreciation for this Burlington Coat Factory. I think of it as the hidden gem of the Atlantic Center Mall. Okay, maybe "gem" is too strong a word--I guess it's more accurate to say that it's like the out-of-the-way bathroom at work that no one else seems to know about. The selection here is pretty surprising. Besides, of course, coats, of which they do have rows and rows, they also sell clothing of all types, houseware, kitchenware, bed/bath/living room furnishings--it's basically a much larger TJ Maxx or Marshall's. And though you may have to dig a bit--much of the clothing is of the baggy variety--the goods here can be of surprising quality. Well, better than you'd expect for, well, a Burlington Coat Factory in Atlantic Center, anyway. Of course, it's not all sunshine-scented puppies riding sparkling rainbows. Being on the third floor of the building--apparently too high up for your average corpulent Atlantic Center patron to bother making the climb--BCF mostly avoids the moron-herds that cloud every other store in this complex, but much of this is nullified by the otherworldly slowness of the staff. For the unsuspecting BFC virgin, you may get in line with your single discount dress shirt and think you'll be getting out of there fairly quickly, what with there being only three people in front of you, none of whom are buying many items either. But somehow, the clerks will find a way to make each person's transaction the absolute...slowest...ordeal...of...their...life, as if at the end of the day they will be rewarded delicious cake for being the employee that kept a customer in a single spot for the longest time. The truly aggravating part is that I have no idea how they manage to do this. I crane my neck every which way but somehow I can never quite tell what on earth could be taking so long. Naturally, they do seem to run a credit or price check on every other customer/item, and I have multiple times seen clerks just walk away from their register between customers with no notice or explanation and not come back for five to ten minutes, but even that can't fully explain how slow this store is. The only semiplausible theory I have is that every time the cash drawer opens, both the cashier and the register die in a small contained explosion, and a new cashier must be interviewed and hired who must then build himself or herself an entirely new register from scratch before the next customer can be checked out and the cycle may continue. That is seriously my best explanation, and I have spent unhealthy amounts of time pondering this. It's the traffic jam principle: the not knowing is the truly frustrating part. Nevertheless, this remains one of the more pleasant shopping experience the Atlantic Center Mall has to offer, which, I admit, is somewhat like saying "Well, at least I brought the most attractive of my sisters to prom." But sometimes in life, you have to take your victories where you can, and learn to appreciate the best of what you personally can get. read more

Yeah, this place is terrible. SO MANY REASONS, but here's why I hate them TODAY... I'm on the dressing room line when a women that tried on clothes already comes out, grabs more clothes from her cart and proceeds to stand iwith her daughter who is waiting in front of me. She asks the very pregnant, sloooow attendant if two people can go in at the same time. She says no with the expected attitude. The daughter goes in, the mother takes more clothes from a cart outside and gets back in front of me. I've been waiting there for 10 minutes while the attendant takes her sweet time arranging clothes when the guests leave instead of letting more people in, so I'm getting annoyed. I tell the line jumper that I'm next and she says her daughter was holding her place. The clueless pregnant woman then says she will let her in first and then I can go in. What exactly is the point of a "6 piece limit" if you can go in and out with as many pieces as you like while people who haven't tried on ONE PIECE have to wait? Why is line jumping permitted here? I dropped my stuff in a cart with no intention of spending a cent . I then spoke to a very nice manager about the incident, who was not very helpful, and seemed overwhelmed by the absolute chaos in the store. I can't imagine going back to this zoo for ANY reason, since there are much better stores downtown now (including Nordstrom Off the Rack, TJ Maxx, Macy's, H & M, Gap Outlet, Banana Republic Outlet, numerous beauty supply stores and Aeropostale within 3 blocks of each other on Fulton Street about a mile away. This particular mall was always a hot mess and, in my opinion, the BCF at this location is the worst of the worst! read more

Not sure if this location is still there since I rarely get to Brooklyn anymore but I would occasionally pop in to see what they have to offer. Not a lot of salespeople on the floor to help (gosh I miss the old Stern's that used to be there!) but you can find good some deals if you have time to look. They have a pretty ok shoe and accessories selection. read more

I never write reviews but had to for this place. The line was extremely long with the cashiers just talking and fooling around. The cashier didn't want to call next and take me either kept me waiting five minutes while talking to her coworker saying why her. Is my money not good? This is the worst yet largest Burlington in Brooklyn. The line is currently halfway down the store and they don't have cashiers at every register. There are 18 registers not including the Layaway registers in the back - of which there are two. There are only 10 being used... During the last five days before Christmas... Inexcusable. read more

I love Burlington Coat Factory. When I shop here I always find quality things for a better price. Even if I see them at a different store they are cheaper here. And Burlington Coat Factory has quality. You are much better off getting clothes or a purse from here then lets say Target across the street and you might even find a better price. The lines are sometimes long but not usually and they go quick. There are always plenty of salespeople doing checkouts so you never wait long. read more

True shopaholics know this is the store. My husband and I are frequent shoppers at this location. Our favorite section is the mens shoes. He has found some amazing steals there on good quality brands. Mens pants are also a good section. Who can beat $25 Ben Sherman pants that are normally $100+? The women's shoe section is not as fab as mens but I've still managed to find some good quality stuff. Most of the good women's clothes are in the outer section. Most of the stuff in the middle is not so great. I hate hunting for a coat here because it's pretty messy and by the time they make it to burlington the coats aren't in such great condition. read more

This is by far the largest store of its kind around, so if you're only trying to get in and out quickly, you better come with a game plan. Best times to go are right after they open or on a weeknight after 7, preferably a day where the weather isn't too nice. Like most deep discount stores, lower prices means less bodies at the registers, so be prepared to wait. If you're serious about what you're after, you'll forgive the line. You'll likely also be forgiving the manufacturer defects in the clothing you're purchasing, so make sure to fully inspect all items, just in case. If you really want to avoid lines, you're probably living in the wrong city, but you can at least take solace in the fact that the place is so huge you can browse clothing without almost anyone in your personal space. It's a great place to get a discount on clothes, but beware of the infamous looong a** line. If you come in to purchase something and there is no line you might as well buy something right away, coming back you will most certainly get a ridiculously long line. This has got to be the worst Burlington Coat Factory. The lines are extremely long over 40m wait in line, you might as well go to Target which has more cashiers and self service checkouts. There's no "Express checkout" either for items less than 10. Good luck. There's also a Marshall's on the floor below which would be much faster. read more

Two stars because of decent prices. But this store is TERRIBLE. I went there to get clothes for my children. It was atrocious! The clothes on the rack were dirty and torn.
