I like the store is good it for a bit of everything but like most places you get what you pay for

Been coming here since I was a kid. A staple in my neighborhood that's muu to go to always for anything and everything literally

a lot of items are spoiled and electronics do not always work. Staff are pretty helpful, good store for such a small neighborhood.

This is my go to store in my neighborhood for paper goods, snacks, hair clips, stockings, etc. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The items are prices reasonably priced. Unfortunately I recently watched a staff member being shamed and embarrased at the cashier by the boss. So inappropriate! I spoke up but the whole incident made me feel so uncomfortable. They lost a star for that. If you have good people working for you show them some respect and appreciation. read more

I ADORE this store! I mean I walk in here just because you never know what you'll find in here. The staff is very nice (mostly Carribean folk) who are super helpful and very friendly. This store is like a high end Dollar Store, meaning that you will find bargains but not for a dollar. Also, they have a helium station so they will blow up your balloons. I've been going to this store for over ten years and I have no complaints. It's such the go to place for bargain shopping. read more

I like this little store on the corner of Albany and Avenue D. Cashiers chat all day long but never forget to say: NEXT! Last minute items can usually be found on my way to or from work; right here at a very reasonable cost. Found several unique books right here. Needing a pair of knee highs just as I head to work...right here, usually 3 pair for the price of 1 at a higher end store, a quick pan or glassware just before a holiday, right here. I like this store for my quick emergencies products. Price not bad, but the staff needs customer service training. At the cashier from my experience there's no hello or thank you. Even if the service is "free", good customer service is respectable and makes you want to support the store in your neighborhood. The employer at this store needs to invest in customer service training to their employees. read more

This is a basic discount store with a general array of goods. Although the prices aren't particularly cheap or "discount", if you need something in the area, it's a handy stop. Upon multiple visits, the staff has never been helpful. They are usually rude and don't know much about what they are selling, sales, or where things are even located. If you ask a basic cashier a question, every time they will have to go consult their manager because they won't have an answer for you (this could be asking about a posted sale or if they have something in stock). This discount store just doesn't strive to be much at all, it's simply that neighborhood shop you have to go to if you don't want to drive to a superior store. read more

Ahhhh, K&S.....I've loved this place since I was old enough to take the training wheels off my bike. When I tell you they have everything in here, they have everything in here. More recently, they started selling Tend Skin and Dr. Bronner's on the cheap, so I'm definitely more excited than ever to go here. They even have a separate store down the block for bedding, towels, bathroom sets, you name it. Every neighborhood has their upscale 99 cent store gem, and when I'm in this neck of the woods, I'm sure to leave with bagfuls of stuff (and perhaps some chicken from Kennedy's across the street)...... read more

Love this store. Loyal customer for over twenty-five years. Peter gave my son his first job. He and Eleanor trained him to have excellent work ethics. Even without that, this would still be my favorite go-to store for the variety of items, the locale, and the reasonable prices. Great staff. read more
