I have been seeing doctor after doctor and going through test after test since February with no answers. Today, Burlington Chiropractic Center figured it out in a single visit -- and they can actually fix me. They did a thermography scan and a moving X‑ray, and for the first time someone showed me exactly where my nerve was being pinched and where my disc wasn't moving. I've been in agony for months, becoming more limited by the day. After my adjustment, my pain was relieved almost instantly. It's not completely gone, but the improvement was so significant that I cried happy tears just to finally feel some relief. I am beyond grateful. 1 - not clear re: costs 2 - you have to be fully topless behind a random short wall while they scan you (I refused to take my top fully off initially; but one doc looked at my scan and said "wow look at all this nerve activity around your neck!" And I'm like... " yeah that's actually from my hands trying to cover myself I'm here for my low back..." - in the end I did take it off and tried to be cool about it but ... I should've walked out right there. But I was in pain and I already paid and I needed relief. I even paid extra for a manipulation on my first day--I was that desperate. Should've left right then. 3 - they simply don't listen. I had very specific insurance questions; I'm not going to accept any billable treatment out of pocket. 4 - the actual chiro was good. So while the doc seems skilled, they are OBSESSED with the scanner thing at that place. I'm sure it's an excellent diagnostic tool. Just looks like a primitive arcade game controller that rolls over your bare back, paints a colorful picture of your nerves somehow. I'm sure it's very real. *I think they write their own reviews. I can't say enough GREAT things about this practice. From start to finish you feel part of a family. Dr. G has helped me tremendously!!!! I went from 50 injections a month to zero, from another doctor. Dr. G is my miracle doctor. The staff, they are wonderful also, they all work together as a fine oiled machine. The facility is spacious, always clean, and state of the art. The staff is exceptional as well, being very accommodating, efficient, and friendly. I've been going to Burlington Chiropractic for roughly 6 years and won't recommend ANY other chiropractor because Docs Jim, Joby and Antoinetta aren't like your average 'guess and crack' chiropractors. They have state-of-the-art technology that shows them the problem in real time and allows them to handle your individual situation with precise care. After 19 years of neglect from the VA, I am currently unable to walk and using a wheelchair to live, after a multitude of health and physical problems resulting from military service, a car accident and autoimmune disease. Most recently, I tore up my shoulder from pushing myself in my wheelchair and was struggling, in pain, after the VA threw drugs at me and sent me on my way. Docs Jim and Antoinetta took the time to get me into the moving Xray and find that my T1 through T5 were all locked, causing my shoulder trouble. Within minutes of adjustment, I was able to turn my head almost all the way again and move my shoulder in ways I hadn't been able to do in days. Two days later and I'm back to full use in my chair with nothing more than occasional soreness in certain positions but, I'm actually able to participate in family events and be involved in my own life again. Doc Jim has brought me back from similar situations at least 4 times over the past 6 years and has restored my ability to function in my life. No, it's not that they 'don't take insurance'. Insurance doesn't take them. If you take the time to learn about the insurance scam, insurance doesn't pay for things that heal, only things that create repeat customers for the pharmaceutical industry. If you invest in your health and take time to research what real health is, you'll find that chiropractic care of this level isn't ever going to be covered by the insurance scam because it's HEALING people, not hindering them. Insurance refuses to pay for the advanced technology they're using because IT WORKS! Yes, I do agree with the review that mentioned the longer waiting times since moving to the new office. It's because the practice has grown in patient size without being able to take on more practitioners who are willing to do all of the work that these three go through for their patients. I was just complaining about this Wednesday morning, to my husband, and then Antoinetta showed up, like an angel, to take my care to a personal level and have me leaving with restored function and a renewed faith in the practice. Then, Friday, Jim and Sonia stayed late to help my ailing husband with his problematic back so he wouldn't have to wait all weekend. These people are the real deal because they're not your average 'medical' provider. Insurance kickbacks change people. Have been going here for a few years. In the beginning, you get a lot of specialized attention, and I definitely feel better. I am glad I sought out chiropractic care. They didn't actually take insurance. I went in with a friend, we have different insurance companies/coverage and after submitting everything our 'plan' for monthly charges are exactly the same. Their new location has a lot more room which is nice because the waiting room got pretty crowded at the old location. This year the wait time has gotten worse. I show up on time for my scheduled appointment, sit and wait for 30-45 minutes and get 5 minutes max of work done. The people here are very nice and I know they're doing great things. Their focus on the cause of the problem is excellent. However, I was confused when they didn't take my insurance card the day of my first visit. Unlike any doctor I've gone to. Went to second appointment today and was given cost after second session. She said my insurance was not covering any of the cost. That's fine, but it would have been better to hear that up front. The staff is extremely friendly. Even though I don't have a chronic problem, they did identify that I had the beginnings of arthritis in the neck and my hip was slightly off. They've done a great job correcting the problems that could be corrected and slowing down the other issues. They have a moving X-ray machine along with a thermal scanner. Never a long wait. I walked in staff & was welcoming but these guys are all about sales! They have taken the concept of fast food and turned their medical practice into something similar. There is no doctor patient confidentiality; they are doing "adjustments" in the middle of the room where everyone else can hear and see the other patient getting treated. They make you watch a mandatory video of how visiting a chiropractor often can treatment ALL your medical problems. Allergies? No worries Chiropractor is your answer! Can't have kids? No worries chiropractor is your answers! Losing hair, memory...Yay Chiropractor can fix it all. On top of this this place is located in the ghetto.
