In December, I notified this office that my insurance would no longer cover chiropractic services. I was told this was common, that the claim would be refiled, and that it would likely be resolved. Based on that information, I continued treatment. The claims were later denied, and I am now being billed $144.54. While I understand that no provider can guarantee insurance payment, patients rely on the information given to them when making care decisions. If I had been clearly informed that coverage would not be approved, I would not have continued services. When I raised this concern, I was referred to the standard paperwork stating services "may not be covered" and directed to address the issue with my insurance company. I have canceled all future appointments. I recommend that patients independently confirm coverage with their insurance provider in writing before continuing treatment, even if the office indicates that billing issues will be resolved. read more

Dr. Marsteller is the best chiropractor I've ever seen ! He has exceeded my expectations! He's very knowledgeable and offers adjustments that really address the source of the problem. Speaking to & dealing with Marsteller is basically the same as talking to a slimey car salesman. He speaks over you, tells you about how you aren't coming back frequently enough & tries to get you to schedule 2-3 appointments a week even though he spends less than 5 minutes with you per appointment. I told him I have a $15 co-pay so I can't afford to come in as frequently as i'd like... his response was, "A lot of people have $40 co-pays so $15 really isn't bad." I wanted to say, "Alright then you want to cover my $15 then??" Absolutely ridiculous. I've had fine results from his ability as a chiropractor but i'm done going back to him because I don't like feeling like i'm being milked for every dollar I have. Stop being a hustler. Don't come here. All the office wants is your money. I had been on a plan with Marstellar for about 6 weeks for degenerative subluxation of my lower vertebrae, which involved being adjusted twice a week. I chose to halt treatment when I became pregnant because I had experienced two pregnancy losses just before this go around and wasn't willing to risk a single thing with this pregnancy. I told this to the front desk and said that I planned to resume treatment once my baby was born. Two weeks after my last adjustment, I contacted the office asking for a signature on a form from my employer who offered me a stand up desk to use at my office since sitting down all day irritated my back. The form asked if I was justified in needing said desk, which of course Marstellar could attest to since he took my x rays and diagnosed me with the degenerative subluxation himself. I was seen by my GP for my back as well but figured it would make more sense to get Marstellar's signature since I had been seeing him for over a month to get adjusted. He wouldn't sign the paper because he "wasn't seeing me anymore." I reminded them that I was only halting treatment for the duration of my high risk pregnancy. He had just seen me two weeks before, not a year before. I was being punished for choosing not to receive adjustments during my pregnancy. It made absolutely no sense. The front desk told me I would have to ask my OB for a signature - I am not seeing my OB for my back, I am seeing them for my pregnancy. I sought out a chiropractor for my back issue. My GP signed my papers without hesitation even though I had seen him only once about my back. Of course he did, any professional could see clear as day that I had obvious back issues both after hearing my symptoms and seeing my x rays. I was very disappointed in the office's handling of the situation and the explanation for it. They made it seem like I was doing something wrong. Not only did I get pushback from signing the form, but the office kept calling me to schedule more appointments after I told them numerous times that I wasn't comfortable receiving manual adjustments during my pregnancy. They did not respect this decision at any turn. I will Not be returning to Marstellar's office when my baby is born - or ever. read more

When my back went out in MarchI could barely walk , I had to walk my daughter down the aisle in May and I was fearful that I wasn't going to be able to. I was seen in Dr. Matt's office the next day and the pain I was experiencing started to ease up and I was able to stand up straight again . Doctor Marsteller is the best! When I started going to Doctor Marsteller I could hardly walk and standing for more than 10 minutes became very difficult. I had seen other chiropractors on YouTube who were Gonstead chiropractic practitioners and saw the success they had in treating their patients. I went to the Gonstead website to find a practitioner nearby and found Dr. Marsteller. I had lower back problems that affected my walking and radiculopathy that run to my feet and toes. The goal was to remedy that. However, almost immediately into the treatment (a three month, 22 visit plan) I began experiencing severe headaches, dizziness and balance issues. I cannot pin it on the treatment but I cannot say it was just a coincidence, either. I never had any of these issues in the past. At no point did he consider that perhaps the adjustments were causing the headaches, etc. (Since ending treatment, the headaches have stopped) The patient signs in using a touch pad computer screen that allows you to input any pain you are suffering, which part of the body and how severe/frequent. I complained about elbow pain and numbness in my fingers on that pad. The doctor never referred to that touch pad. Never addressed the elbow pain. I was told on a couple of occasions that "the next time you come in..." he will either work on something then or take an x-ray, only to either forget to work on that, or put off the x-ray until the next visit. Nobody is in the waiting room. The treatment I just had lasted maybe 5 minutes. How long would it take to do one more adjustment? Why wait until the next visit when I have issues NOW? Gonstead practitioners use heat sensors on the area of complaint. He never used one on me. He's a nice guy and he does care for his patients. His staff is wonderful. But, I am disappointed in the results. After 12 visits I had hoped for some sort of improvement. But other problems cropped up instead. He was my 4th chiropractor in 4 years. Dr. Marsteller and staff are really helpful. My wife Who for years had migraine headaches that nothing would help, finally found relief from Dr. Marsteller's treatments. Because of this both my daughter and granddaughter also became his patients. The other thing his beautiful wife is also his secretary and is very helpful in scheduling. If I can give Dr Marstellar zero stars I would. My first appointment was today at 2pm. We agreed to have an x-ray today in his office. He appeared to be in rush which rattled me a bit. Then he says I need to look at the X-Rays and it will take about 25min. I said ok I will wait in the lobby. Then he started to make all these excuses as to why I couldn't wait in the lobby. It sounded like a bunch of bull. He said you have to come another day, maybe tomorrow. I finally gave in and reluctantly agreed, silly me. As I am checking I was informed I had to pay for today's visit and tomorrow. Smh..I asked why? I offered to stay until he read my X-Ray. I was completely snowed by this moron!! So I called to cancel my appointment and request MY X-Rays that I PAID for. He got on the phone and was RUDE, and combative would not let me speak & hung up the phone. I've been to chiropractors before with little success but thought I'd give it one more try since they offered a free consultation and I was still having lower back pain which was causing a ton of other issues. I was surprised that he had an in office x-ray machine which showed the issue I was having. None of the others had done the x-ray for me to identify the issue clearly.
