Well, I was told 6 years ago that pain would be a part of my life but, I never wanted how I felt to affect those around me so, I suffer mostly in silence. Yesterday, I started seeing a new chiropractor. I told him that my neck was in so much pain my head felt heavy and Ive had a headache everyday for the past 2 weeks constantly since my neck was getting worse. He did an assessment to figure out my range of motion and my neck was so stiff, I could barely put my chin to my chest or bend it to the left or right. Plus my headache had already started from the back of my head about 30 minutes prior to my appointment time. He listened, was personable, made me laugh a little, and cracked every bone in my body back into place with heavy focus on my neck (I have other injuries which is why he did everything but let's just focus on my neck). Once he was done, I could feel instant relief and it also shifted my mood. He asked me to move my neck left, right, up, and down which was a major improvement. Dr. Nelson performed a thorough evaluation of me from head to foot, looking first at my movement patterns and then at the individual muscles inhibiting my proper movement. He then performed ART(Active Release Technique) to those segments, retested and low and behold, the muscle fired correctly.
