Harrisburg Mall is heading towards redevelopment in the next year and at this point it's just a…read morematter of when the mall's doors are eventually closed. This mall had problems even before COVID-19, with the interior having serious vacancy and the former Boscov's remaining vacant for years after closing. It did however retain good foot traffic thanks to the Macy's, Great Escape Theater, 2nd & Charles, Pro Bass Shops, and a respectable food court. Then the Macy's was announced to close, COVID-19 shut the mall down, and Great Escape closed, wiping out a large portion of the malls foot traffic. The interiors of the former Boscov's, Great Escape Theater, and Macy's are being demolished in anticipation of this future redevelopment. Harrisburg Mall's food court has no remaining open stalls, only the remains of places like China Max, Checkers, and Taco Bell being visible. Perhaps the biggest blow, is both of Pro Bass Shops mall entrances are now closed and you must enter from the outside. However, the interior of Harrisburg Mall still contains a surprising number of stores despite being a dead mall, with the second floor being reasonably well occupied. Mall still houses 2nd & Charles, a great used book/media store by Books-A-Million, and the Family Fun Center arcade. A large number of small businesses also call the mall home. The mall also has a largely unearned bad reputation, with it being clean and safe. Sadly, even with it being the best-looking mall of the Harrisburg Metro area, Harrisburg Mall will probably be the first of the large malls to close. It's just a matter of when at this point.

I learned from videos online that bass pro shops had closed off their mall entrance way before the mall failed, and Charles and 2nd was trying to hold on until the very end. It's sad to see this happen to malls around the county, as I'm sure this was once a nice place to shop, however if your in the Harrisburg area, don't come here unless you want to go to bass pro shops, as the rest of the mall is pretty much gone.

I didn't know if she was a customer trying to get around the cart or if she actually worked there. When i asked she literally rolled her eyes and looked at her shirt and said something along the lines of "what do you think?" it was under her breath and i heard her say "how can she be so stupid." I told her that i was sorry and asked where the yogurt was. SHe rolled her eyes again and just pointed and sighed. I again told her i was sorry and i honestly thought she was a customer. then she started being argumentative. She shouldn't be working at target if she doesn't want to help and ridicule her customers.

I found the children's clothing to be a bit disorganized in terms of finding various clothing sizes. Also, some of the name brands for children's clothing were lacking in certain areas. Overall it's a decent store with plenty of inventory in its other sections but I would not go out of my way to come here.

I must say even though I had heard such great things I was still pleasantly surprised. Besides the Broad street market I haven't really visited any other businesses in the Midtown area of the city. After my visit I must say I will not only be back to Urban Snob but I look forward to checking out other local businesses. Urban Snob is not only a store but an experience. If I had to describe the vibe of the store I would compare it to Carrie from "Sex in the city" or "The Kardashians" meets "Basketball Wives" or "Love & Hip-Hop" in a boutique. You'll find an array of goods here like a local grocery store if you're in a pinch. They have slot machines, take ebt, send money abroad, lottery, and sell blankets. They have huge selection of spices, snacks, different dry goods and types of rice and noodles. They are family owned and just opened 3 weeks ago. Check them out! I bought fresh ginger, lemons, momos, Thai chili, and Korean yams.

I was so very pleasantly greeted by the store owner as soon as I entered. I had just noticed that the posted store hours said the store closes at 4, which I immediately mentioned upon entering in a rush at about 3:38 pm. I was told not to worry about the time & to enjoy my shopping experience. Despite the fact that there were other customers shopping, I was given the best treatment & help finding exactly what I needed for both me and my daughter. I had a terrific photo of myself wearing one of the pair I got but I accidentally lost it. So sad...guess that means you'll have to check it out in person for yourself! I loved the clothes so much that I wore them out of the store. Once I tried them on I didn't want to take them off. Later this evening I got so many compliments on my 'dress' while we were out for dinner. I had to explain that what looked like a beautiful dress was actually a very versatile combination of a scarf & pants I'd bought here. I turned the scarf into a top and wore the pair of anklets, as I was told at the store, one on each ankle. So gorgeous! I'm going to bring my new daughter in law whom is pregnant into the store for a new, comfy yet glamorous outfit when I come back to PA!

Her work was done quickly and skillfully with the precision of a surgeon, and she only charged me $25! As a short person who frequently needs clothing hemmed, this is the cheapest hem I've had done in the last 6-7 years, not to mention the fastest. I understand the business is moving to a different location, but this will be my first choice in the area for all future alterations! Highly recommend!
