I think if I regularly lived close to an Ollie's I would probably check there first for certain items because the deals are indeed too good! I didn't have as much time as I would've liked so I couldn't thoroughly peruse the store like I wanted to. However, I was indeed quite impressed with the book selection. I got a hardback coffee table book on Obama for only $9.99 when it was originally $60. That was enough of a win in my book! However I was able to get some great children's books and cooking books for low prices as well. There were some great outdoor children's toys and various appliances as well. I'm definitely coming back to more thoroughly peruse other sections of the store. Happy bargain hunting! read more

First off you had stuff on display which had a sign up for aswell and was told you guys wont have it for like a week come back twice that week didn't get it in stock and now just went and you have no boxes out or the displays out Dont recommend to anyone read more

Selection is very dependent on when you go. Sometimes they have great deals...other times not. However, that is the nature of the beast. Cashiers are a little aggressive for my liking. Not the friendliest around for sure. It's Ollie's...you get what you get. read more

We visit this location any time we're on the Carlisle Pike. I can usually find inexpensive gifts for friends here in the form of coffee table or special interest books. There's always something new. They don't deal so much in physical media anymore, like CDs, DVDs, or audiobooks, but they do have a lot of comic books, graphic novels, and genre fiction. The toys and games that show up are often shared on nerd social media because some of the items are hard to find or too expensive at retail price for most fans. This store is often neater and cleaner than the Colonial Park store but the aisles are narrow and hard to navigate on busy days. The new cattle chute model for the checkout is an ingenious way to put tons more product in front of us before we can check out, but it almost seems to confirm that there are never enough cashiers and that there is a need for thirty yards of queue space for customers to wait. The service is friendly at the register, but often missing in the store when looking for that thing your friend said they found at Ollie's. If it's not obvious, the staff usually doesn't know and don't dare ask to look in the stockroom. Unless you need a carpet or other large object loaded into your car, it's best if you don't waste time looking for someone to come help you hunt down something. read more

Minus one star for the new store being larger but with very narrow aisle space. This new location in the former HH Gregg store is nice and large but still too small for customers to pass each other with carts while shopping. I guess that's what you get in a clearance store. (Hopefully yelp updates the address after my second submitted edit). They have a ton of just about everything from food to books, flooring to appliances, and carpet to towels and a lot in between. Because it's a close-out deal kind of place, don't think they'll have a particular item next time you come back. Probably won't be there. Get it when you see it and be done with it. While the store is nicer than the Colonial Park parent store, there is not nearly as much variety and items to choose from. Case in point, the laminate flooring where the other location had boxes upon boxes (probably close to 400) to choose from ranging in different styles compared to here where they had what seemed like 10 boxes of leftovers of only one style. This location does have a cleaner feel and is more organized though. The customer service was not as helpful either. Bargains are the same though! they were able to hold a carpet for us when we called from the colonial park location. Again, great place to check out for bargains. read more

Ollie's is always a fun diversion, and usually has a few good bargains. If you are after cheap books, this is the store for you. This location has a wide assortment of inventory, everything from cookies to carpet. Because I stopped in a few weeks before Christmas the store was a little cluttered with decorations and toys. Ollie's is a place to shop when you are looking for something unique, but have no idea what you want. If it's a regular errand run, make it early in the errand day - you never know what you're gonna get. read more

The aisles are VERY narrow due to merchandise overcrowding. Piles of glass, boxes, and plastics loom Everywhere and employees response to me asking why the need for overcrowding was a shrug. There are too many competitive bargain stores to make this tense trip worth the while. read more

Good stuff Cheap is the mantra for this business. Not bad all around however I have found more than my fair share of expired cookies or other such items. But, that is what you are going after when you get here. They have a decent book and bedding section when you walk in on the right and normally you can find pretty much everything you need to get a new apartment started for relatively nothing. They have a frequent buyers club card that gives 10-15 percent off depending on the day and items you buy, which on top of everything being cheap it's a good deal. In the back, with the carpets they offer free coffee all day long for their customers, and while it isn't starbucks, it's free caffeine. I like coming here for their deals and every now and then you come across a heck of a bargain, but like they say, once it's gone. It's gone read more

Over the many years that Ollie's has been in this area, it has saved us money on purchases large and small. They even cheerfully helped us when we had a problem with a carpet we needed to exchange. The recliner I bought there several years ago has been the most comfortable we've had at an excellent price. It's been a good place for linens and stationery, too. We most recently bought a floor air conditioner that has been a huge help this summer! read more

Needed to grab a couple of small storage bins and popped in. Half the employees at the register and around the store were wearing masks incorrectly (under the nose). One at the register had hers completely off, hanging under her chin, while she shouted across aisles about other open registers. There is no barrier between customer and cashier. The cashier who assisted me was very nice, wearing mask correctly but, walked away from the register to get a manager (whose mask was under her nose...not a good way to lead by example) and left a strap of cash open on the counter! Customers were keeping distances (as well as is possible in a store environment) and there were two spots of tape making an X on the floor to seemingly mark off distance but poorly placed endcaps made it very difficult to form functional, distanced lines. There was only one register open when I got into line but they were pretty quick to get more open but they were manned by "maskless, shouty associate" and "under the nose masked manager". I gave two stars because they have a large supply of masks and sanitizer, which I appreciated, as well as the baskets I needed and, as I said, my cashier was very friendly, polite and efficient (she accidentally overcharged me but was very polite about it, apologized and got the error corrected quickly...even though she wasn't attentive of her register cash). I know it's a discount store but that shouldn't matter when it comes to customer safety and cash handling. read more
