School shopping season has officially entered the chat... and apparently everybody and their mama got the same memo! Stopped by the Burlington in Howe Bout Arden, and I'll start with something I actually really appreciated: they've got a new routine at the entrance to help control traffic. The gentleman up front was friendly, welcoming, and actually took the time to explain what was going on, which I appreciated. No attitude, no confusion--just good customer service right from the door. Now let's talk about the shopping experience... WHEW. I shop at plenty of Burlington locations, so I already know it can be a hit-or-miss situation depending on the day. Unfortunately, today was definitely a MISS for me. I was on the hunt for some good shoes for the little gentlemen, and the selection was looking real slim. There were plenty of options for the girls, but the boys' section had me walking around like, "Okay Burlington... where did y'all hide the good stuff?" To be fair, it IS back-to-school season, so I already know everyone has been out here shopping like the school bus is coming tomorrow morning. I probably wasn't the only parent looking for the same things either! Even with the limited selection today, I have to give this location credit: it's usually one of the cleanest Burlingtons I've visited, and the staff consistently delivers the kind of customer service you actually want when you're shopping. Friendly people, clean store, and a welcoming atmosphere go a long way. So today's haul may have been a bust for the boys' shoes, but I'm definitely not writing this location off. The cashier named Jastice, checked us out and was completely inattentive. She was texting on her phone during the transaction and didn't even turn the light on for the register. She couldn't care less if we walked up or not. She must not like working there and makes it very obvious. read more

My family and I stopped into Burlington to check out Halloween items and some clothes for my daughter. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the store was roped off - an employee came over and told us that they are trying to cut down on theft and so apparently they have to let you in which I understand, but also thought was kind of odd. The store was big, spacious, pretty organized and clean too. I did notice that some of the sections did seem a bit bare. They had a decent selection of Halloween items - not as much as the other stores that carry Halloween stuff this early though. I got my daughter 4 or 5 outfits and my husband 3 shirts - all for under $100 which is pretty good in this economy. Staff were pleasant, but nothing overly friendly. Luis went above and beyond with customer service during my shop day. He deserves a raise for being proactive. Luis gave me his shopping cart while working! He took the go backs out and gave me the basket with no hesitation. I am so appreciative of his kindness because he was using the basket. He went all the way to the front to get another shopping cart. Also, my cashier James was the kindest person we joked about curtain rods at the register. I went shopping here and just wanna say Buyer Beware! I bought a body spray that I have bought before at TJ max and possibly at Burlington at another location a while back, I didn't expect this to happen but as soon as I went to my car I opened the body spray to use some and there was zero smell except rubbing alcohol. I know what it is supposed to smell like like any scent it should have leave a smell behind I shook it up just in case and sprayed it several times thinking that maybe it just needed to be mixed up. After several shakes and sprays the only smell was rubbing alcohol. I asked someone with me if I was nose blind and they said it smelt like hand sanitizer. I immediately went in the store and asked to return it. The security stopped me and said no you can't return it because it's a personal item. I explained that they sold me a bad product and that was not right. I understand the policy but how can you sell something that is not what the packaging states. I'm pretty sure that's illegal in every state. They could have exchanged it maybe for one that wasn't diluted. I took my complaint to online customer service. The customer service online didn't address that they I paid for something that I didn't receive. They are just responding saying that if I used the product they can't accept any return for that product because it has to be unused. That's a nice catch 22. So buy products here but we don't make any claim that you're buying the product that is being advertised on the shelf . That's scant and false advertisement. I'm pretty sure you're gonna end getting sued ! After you scam people over and over they will get a lawyer and file a class action lawsuit! I can and will shop someone else: Just posting this to let all customer know that the Ariana Cloud body spray is water and rubbing alcohol. Promise. And have to add the staff also tried to over charge me for a soccer ball. They couldn't find the price so they were going to charge me the price of a Puma soccer ball that was in the box. Mind you the other ball was not a name brand or in a box. I bet the price was half of what she was trying to charge me. I told her and the other lady that was trying to convince me it probably the same price I don't want it. You can't make up a price . Well you can but I'm not stupid if you charge me for the puma ball then I'm taking the wound ball not the other one. These store are so desperate nowadays!! read more

The staff spends more time policing their store than actually serving it. They don't allow paying customers to use the restroom though I saw 2-3 staff walking around. Policing, pretending to organize. They also kick teens out of the store over the intercom. 'If you don't have a consenting adult you must leave the store immediately.' Which was really sad I saw these two nice girls leave in shock. Need some regional management corporate help. read more

I purchased a laundry basket made of a cloth. When there was some laundry in it, I picked it up by its handles and both handles broke. I tried to return it, but they refused a return because the handles broke. The only reason I was returning it was because the handles broke, making it a terrible product. That is a Catch-22 return policy. Needless to say, I was beyond pissed off. I called corporate and there was nothing they could do, either. I hate Burlington and will never again do business with them. read more

Burlington is similar to Ross. But the store is bigger, and this newer store looks better both interior and exterior. The racks and shelves seem pretty organized, and the store looks very clean. They had a lovely lady give me a friendly greeting when I talked in the store. Everything inside looks good. They have all the clothes, shoes, home goods, and personal care available at discounted prices. I like the space between the shelves and the racks. They're wide enough for two people walking in the same aisle without space issues. I feel more comfortable walking in this store. The stuff they carry is the same as all the discounted bargain stores. I love bargains! Especially higher quality items bargain! I will say that I have always had a positive experience shopping at "Burlington" as opposed to other big-box discount clothing stores; this includes "Ross", "Marshalls", & "TJ Maxx". And considering their newest location which is smack-dab in the heart of Sacramento, this store was definitely worth checking out. Located at the revitalized outdoor Howe Bout Arden shopping center in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento, this Burlington opened its doors in February 2021 and neighbors several popular retailers such as HomeGoods, Nordstrom Rack, & The Container Store as well as the beautiful Century Theaters. Parking is relatively easy to find, even on the busiest weekend days. I came here on the afternoon of Sunday 3/21/21 at around 2:00pm. On the inside, this place is as spacious as it gets complete with large aisles that make it easy to navigate a shopping cart. You will find a well-organized display of womens, mens, & kids clothes as well as shoes, luggage, bedding, home decor, window panels, candles, small electronics, snacks, & much more. Some of the prices have very deep discounts that can easily beat any competitive store in this class. I have also come across name-brand items such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, Tommy Bahama, Nike, & Adidas. The hours here are very generous as they are open from 7am-11pm seven (7) days a week. This makes it extremely convenient for those that might have odd work hours. It is also great because it keeps many workers employed during the rough times we have all had to endure during the Coronavirus pandemic (as of 2021). As far as the safety protocols, face coverings are required upon entry while hand sanitizer & masks were available to those that enter without one. I was happy to see each and every employee following the rules during my visit. Now the only reason for the deduction of a star on this review is because it took me a good 25-30 minutes to get rung up by the cashier. However, this place was BUSY; so with only 4 active cashiers, it can be difficult getting the line moving in a timely manner; especially customers that have returns/exchanges as well as customers that purchase an abundance of items. However, my visit was a pleasant one as I left with a pair of jeans, a pair of shorts, a blazer, & a 3-pack of face masks. I love Burlington Coat Factory!!! I love finding great deals on my every day items and household decor. I am so happy and excited that there's a location in Arden Arcade. No more driving to Natomas!!!Yay!! I went to shop at this location yesterday. It was there first day and my day off... The stars aligned and I took the opportunity to visit. I went in late afternoon and finding parking was easy. This location is in the Howe Bout Arden shopping center, next to the Century Theater. The Century theater is closed for now. But, it will be interesting to see how the parking lot will look when it opens again. This store is really big, and was really stocked. Which is impressive during the Covid19 pandemic. Many stores now have nearly empty shelves. There was a huge selection on everything from clothes, shoes, household decor, etc. I spent quite a bit buying spring clothes, household decor, bathroom towels, and some other things. I call it self care. :) The staff all wore masks, sanitizer is available while waiting in line, and at the checkout counter. There's also a plexiglass barrier at the checkout counter. They took all necessary precautions during the Covid19 pandemic. Also, the dressing rooms are closed. But, never worry! You can return items with their tags and receipt within 30 days!! This store seemed pretty large and is clean and organized, and racks and aisles appeared well- stocked. As with all of these big box discount stores, selection is hit or miss, and it's up to you to search or browse what catches your eye. I ended up finding a couple gifts (brand names even) at great prices and some nice sunglasses for myself. That checkout line was ridiculously long, but it wasn't too awful a wait. Definitely would have skipped it and left if I was only purchasing one item. My cashier was friendly and apologized for the wait. I was hoping that a Marshalls or TJ Maxx would have taken this spot, but it is nice and convenient having a Burlington on this part of town. read more

Your website and Yelp both show this store is open until 11:30 PM. At 10:15 PM, there was an announcement the store was closing in 20 minutes. Less than ten minutes later there was another announcement that the register was closing in FIVE minutes. Totally unacceptable and inconsiderate to your patrons. If your employees don't feel like working until the posted time they should move on or change the posted hours so people don't waste the little time they have. Plenty of parking in the shared lot. Not very busy in the morning on a weekday. Clean interior and relatively organized. Hand sanitizer available by the check out area, but the staff do not wear masks. The service is okay, no frills. No restrooms. The fitting rooms are permanently closed, which was very disappointing. I love going to Burlington to shop but I will no longer be shopping at this location due to them no longer having public restrooms. They have restrooms. I've used the restroom in the past and I also have an infant that could have needed a diaper change. They just have it blocked off with a sign. With the size of the store, I'm pretty sure they are breaking building codes with not allowing customers to use the restroom. This store is huge! They have a lot of nice things. It is clean and organized. Probably because it's only been open 5 days.. I looked around everywhere. The men clothing had a big selection of nike tshirts and basketball shorts. Anyways during checkout my experience was a nightmare. Seriously the line was huge and only 2 checkouts open! One ñady literally spent probably more than 30 minutes with her transaction. It was ridiculous. Not only that but the first cashier seemed to be trying to call for help on a walkie talkie. * Zulema, virginia This is the worse department store I have ever been to. My complain is mainly about an Associate named "Zulma" or "Zulema" She is extremely unprofessional and rude and had stated that she was the manager when I was told by another associate next to her that Bryan is the store manager, so go figure. She did not help me with my return and stated that it was an open box. The toy I bought for Christmas was unused, still in the box, with my receipt. I took it out of the box and my 1 year old was terrified by it so I put it back in the box and brought it back, but according to her, it was not taped so she did not want to help me! Then I asked for the manager and she said that she is the manager, which was a lie. Then I asked for the corporate number and she said "Go look it up online".
