Now, I'm not a member of this gym, and this will be the most bizarre review, but I had to put my…read moreexperience on here and tell you how awesome their manager, Rusty, is. I have a multi-gym pass through my health insurance, and pranced in there yesterday to sign up and take a yoga class. Well, it turns out I misread my plan and Better Bodies is not included! So I try to slink out of there in utter mortification, but Rusty insisted I stay for the yoga class, worked really hard to reduce my embarrassment and never tried to sell me a membership I obviously didn't need. This is why I will return here if my multi-gym pass doesn't work out. Good job, guys! The people you employ represent you well! PS: the yoga class was kickass!

KID'S CLUB STAFF SHOUTOUT. I'm a SilverLake member but I come to BB once a week for basketball. I…read morebring my energetic 2, almost 3, year old son, Nico, every Wednesday around 5:30PM for the past month. They greet him, make him feel welcome, and that's all I expect. But they go way above and beyond. Sometimes I've come down an hour later and they're still engaging with him! He prefers solo play unless it's another toddler he knows so I'm shocked he's playing with them. And I can tell he's getting attention because he doesn't want to leave most of the time. This is never the case at Silverlake, he's always sprinting to the door upset and desperately trying to get out and I only leave him at that Kids Club for only 30 minutes. He was being clingy last week at BB and didn't want to go in (had nothing to do with them, he's just a daddy's boy sometimes), and the employee working the desk was a good sport, reached out her arms, talked him through it, and put up with his whines for who knows how long. I bounced because I knew he was going to cry no matter what we did. I expected them to either reluctantly take him or ask to wait until he's ready, but she was all over it and ready to handle his whiny butt. They're so awesome! It's not that I don't appreciate Silverlake staff at Kids Club because it's an insanely hard job, but the BB staff are just the best. If I had any doubts on keeping my Silverlake membership, BB Kid's Club staff have killed them.

Do you body a favor and take a Pilates class, then take several more!…read more I was recommend Pilates by my physical therapist after a knee injury and surgery which made it difficult to be as active as I used to be. I had also been experiencing back and shoulder aches and spent 8 months with a chiropractor with no resolution. I took an intro class, they are free and a great introduction of you've never worked with a reformer, I had not. You will also need socks with grips on the soles. The instructor was incredibly helpful and talked out each move and breathing techniques. They have also taken the time to come over and adjust you if your form is wrong (COVID has changed things). All of this is to say that after 3 months of starting Pilates, the pain my shoulder and back are nearly gone, my posture is better (I sit in front of a computer all day), and I have seen a huge difference in what my knee is able to do now compared to my first Pilates class (I had a lot of modifications). Membership: There are several different types of memberships based on number of classes you'd like to attend monthly or weekly. The passport for example is an unlimited membership that allows you to go to any Club Pilates nationwide and costs $259/monthly. Classes: An abundance of experienced instructors and classes. You can book using the app and the login is site specific. This is my only issue with Club Pilates; the old app worked well for me but the 2.0 version does not.

He promotes a very unhealthy perspective in terms of losing weight and encourages disordered eating tendencies. Unfortunately, this is now something I am attempting to recover from. In addition to that, he is wildly inappropriate toward his female clients. He gaslighted, manipulated, and threatened to sue me if I were to tell anyone of his inappropriate behaviors. Please do not seek health and/or fitness guidance here.

I hired Gage as a coach in July 2019 to prepare me for a bikini competition. For those not familiar…read morewith the sport of bodybuilding, preparing for a competition involves very intense dieting and exercise. As a client, you put a lot of trust in your coach/trainer to guide you on the path to reaching your goals. The intensity of competition prep can make it an isolating experience, and your coach is one of the people you interact with and depend on the most. Not long after I started working with Gage, I went through a break-up and confided in him about my personal situation. While he was eager to lend a listening ear, he was also quick to move the conversation to flirtation and sexually explicit texts with exchanges of photos. I was a willing participant in these exchanges. While I felt it was crossing a line, I also felt flattered that a younger, super-fit and attractive man with access to numerous beautiful women through his job would want me in that way. I asked if this was something he routinely did with clients, and he assured me that it was not. When our text exchanges failed to materialize into any actual physical relationship, I expressed that I wanted to end them, and we did. Shortly after this, I learned that he had been in a relationship with another woman the whole time. I was angry at the omission of this fact, and relieved that I dodged a bullet. He continued to coach me for the show and for a couple of months after that as well. Now that I am more removed from the situation and have had time to process everything that took place, I am compelled to share my experience. While Gage ultimately did what I paid him to do, I feel that he also took advantage of his position of power in the trainer/client relationship. He showed a profound lack of understanding of professional boundaries. I don't think that a coach who truly cares about the physical and mental health of his clients would pursue a sexual relationship with them in any capacity. For this reason, I will not use him in the future, and I do not recommend him to anyone else.
