As a client, you put a lot of trust in your coach/trainer to guide you on the path to reaching your goals. The intensity of competition prep can make it an isolating experience, and your coach is one of the people you interact with and depend on the most. Not long after I started working with Gage, I went through a break-up and confided in him about my personal situation. While he was eager to lend a listening ear, he was also quick to move the conversation to flirtation and sexually explicit texts with exchanges of photos. I was a willing participant in these exchanges. While I felt it was crossing a line, I also felt flattered that a younger, super-fit and attractive man with access to numerous beautiful women through his job would want me in that way. I asked if this was something he routinely did with clients, and he assured me that it was not. When our text exchanges failed to materialize into any actual physical relationship, I expressed that I wanted to end them, and we did. Shortly after this, I learned that he had been in a relationship with another woman the whole time. I was angry at the omission of this fact, and relieved that I dodged a bullet. He continued to coach me for the show and for a couple of months after that as well. Now that I am more removed from the situation and have had time to process everything that took place, I am compelled to share my experience. While Gage ultimately did what I paid him to do, I feel that he also took advantage of his position of power in the trainer/client relationship. He showed a profound lack of understanding of professional boundaries. I don't think that a coach who truly cares about the physical and mental health of his clients would pursue a sexual relationship with them in any capacity. For this reason, I will not use him in the future, and I do not recommend him to anyone else.

The venue seemed like it was out of the Saw franchise, very bleak and dingy with chains connected to the wall. There was another man, not the other owner, who just sat and stared at her while the class went on for about 25 minutes. My wife gave Ronald (the trainer/owner) a 550$ down payment to reserve a spot later in the month, for our dog's 2 week training bootcamp. After reevaluating, and deciding we couldn't really afford the training currently, we notified Ronald Pfeirman that we would like a refund. (less than 12 hours later.) He refused, despite her not signing any type of contract, and said that he would not give the money back. I am now engaged in a small claim lawsuit with the company, and hope to get my money back. The owner refused to compromise, and will not respond to our efforts to communicate with him. Needless to say, I feel this isnt a man I would trust with my dog.

He pushed every boundary imaginable. His energy was out of control, jumping on everyone, unable to be around people or other dogs, and even knocking elderly people over. It was overwhelming and stressful, and we truly didn't know what to do. Then Doug came in, and in just two sessions, everything changed. He helped correct TJ's behavior, but more importantly, he taught us how to be better leaders. He showed us how to properly correct bad behavior while still loving our dog. What meant the most to me was how seen and understood I felt. Doug didn't make me feel like a bad dog parent for struggling or for not instantly feeling that perfect bond after adopting TJ. He understood. He helped me realize that TJ is a good boy who wants structure, leadership, and a pack to belong to. Doug gave us the tools, the confidence, and the consistency we needed, and the results have been incredible. When I say TJ is better, that is an understatement. We can now have people in our home without worrying. He greets guests without jumping all over them or scratching them. We no longer have to put him away when people come over. He is calmer, more respectful, and honestly happier. He is not stealing food off plates or biting hands for snacks anymore. He comes back inside without trying to go after other dogs at the fence. Our entire home feels more peaceful. Even our 2-year-old son interacts more gently with TJ now, because TJ is respecting boundaries in a way he never did before. Most importantly, TJ now has a permanent, loving home, and that is because of Doug. I was genuinely worried about my elderly grandma getting hurt before, and now I feel confident that TJ will be calm and respectful around her. That peace of mind is priceless. Doug is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and effective. He does not just train your dog, he equips you with everything you need to continue that progress long-term. Thank you, DNA K9 for not just training our dog, but for helping us truly fall in love with him. I would recommend them to anyone.
