Recently, the club manager scheduled a meeting to discuss his behavior. During that meeting, several serious allegations were presented, only for me to later learn that my son was not even present for some of the incidents referenced. Despite this, he was suspended. When I followed up to contest the decision, it was acknowledged that he was not involved in some of the allegations. However, there was no apology or correction, and the suspension was still upheld based on an incident that occurred approximately six weeks ago. I'm sharing this because I would encourage other parents in similar situations to ask questions and seek additional context, as it felt like my son's perspective was not fully considered. My concern is not with accountability, but with fairness, accuracy, and how the process was handled. Unfortunately, this experience has been very disappointing for our family.

And was given the ok to start working out again. Despite my injuries. My personal trainer Alyssa is fantastic. Knowledgeable and so helpful. Great personality. I had been an out-of-town member a while back, since I live 500 miles away. I loved the idea that there was at least one all-male club left where, on one floor and in one common area, I could take a shower, use the steam room and the sauna, and take a swim, without needing a swimsuit. Meanwhile, the facilities have been somewhat renovated, altho they are still a bit clunky. Sadly, swimsuits are now required, although the club is still all-male. If there is no more communal nudity (there were, of course, fewer men present due to COVID, but they all seemed VERY nervous about being naked), why not make the place coed? It also is much more expensive than LA Fitness, for example, with not as many amenities available, so what's the point? So, if you live in Cincinnati, like to spend extra money (admittedly, gym wear is laundered, and each man has his own locker), I guess that this is good. Otherwise, try a chain gym.

So why wasn't it for me? I wanted an area for more focused practice where I just come in to my bay get my swings in and can practice with cameras and their competitor down the street fits that need a little better for me. They are very different venues and both have pros and cons - if you're like me and want a pure practice schedule with lessons then it may not be as good of a choice. If however, you want to bring kids or use the simulator with friends I think its a great spot.
