I was 15 minutes late as I had written 930 on my calendar but it started at 9. My bad. I was welcomed in and given a quick catch up. I practice yoga at another studio so I was sort of prepared. I was by far the oldest student and that's ok. I'm giving a five star rating based on the whole student vibe. The young ladies were happy and had a lot of fun. That's important and to be respected. The class is geared for all levels and enabled all to achieve really pretty poses utilizing the hammock swing trapeze strap set up. We all got pictures to admire of ourselves looking graceful and strong. If I had any suggestions, it would be to turn off the music as the cuing was hard ( for me) to hear. Also, I wished the hammock could've been a little lower as it was a bit high for me to get one leg up into it and stand. My balance is pretty good so I hopped a little to maintain, if I had been totally inexperienced, maybe not so much. Thank you so much for the opportunity to practice, Julie.

The owner Julie was very kind and focuses a lot on gratitude and giving back which I really loved. I loved that the classes were smaller and more intimate so that you could actually receive direction if needed and that you were not feeling cramped. I just think that there is a lot going on at this studio and the website can be confusing at times. Overall, a great studio and owner and highly recommend for pilates and yoga!

As much as I love this GIVE Yoga location in Clintonville, I equally love the German Village…read morelocation. Just as the location in Clintonville, parking can be a little difficult to find so I always try to leave in enough time to accommodate trying to find somewhere to park. However, this location is right next door to Fox in the Snow (umm yes)..so if anything you can pop on over for a coffee before/after. Also located near by is Native & Thurmans. This location offers one studio that I would say is moderate sized. It does seam smaller than the Clintonville main hot studio, however the shape is different and everything. The overall appeal is very modern inside. They provide lockers and 2 bathrooms. The yoga studio is nice and quiet once in the space & makes for the perfect yoga studio. Also, the classes are great. If i had to classify this experience, it's for independent yoga students that have prior experience and prefer a class that's more of a "headphones in and silent study" type of vibe. This particular studio I would say focuses on the aesthetics above all. So the rooms are nice, the bathrooms are clean, the welcome space is inviting, and the instructors are what you would expect. Good yoga studio, just not my cup of tea. I prefer a different yoga experience.

There isn't really a lot so you park on Dunedin or Oakland Park ave, or High St if you can find a spot. I think they have a bigger room off to the left, but the lights were off or very dim throughout the whole space when I visited. The yoga room we utilized is to the right and in the back. Cubbies without doors are available to stash your stuff right before you enter the room on the left side. The room itself had high ceilings and was kind of long and narrow. The class was full--way too full for my liking, with other mats about 6 inches on either side of mine. The room wasn't SUPER hot, which might be a pro for some but not for me. I did get a bit of a sweat going by the end, but it wasn't the greatest work out I've had at a hot yoga class. The instructors phone also rang during class, and I wasn't super excited about the guidance through the flow. I'm not sure if I would visit again or not.

As it was my first time…read morethere, the instructor Julie was extremely helpful in getting my friend and me set up After filling out the necessary paperwork, we went into the yoga room. It's probably one of the coolest yoga spaces I've seen. The room is dimly lit with only natural light, the ceiling has drape-y things hanging from it, there are several woven baskets with mats and yoga props, and there are even bongos situated in the room! It definitely helped set the mood of the class. The teacher took the time to explain the set up and flow of the class to me and my friend. The set up was different for me. The class started with self-massage. I've never experienced that before, and while it was a foreign concept to me, I enjoyed it. During the self-massage, we were given some aromatherapy cream, which was awesome. I love smelling hippy smells like pachouli during yoga. It makes me feel more calm. The class was an hour and 15 minutes - definitely a great value! We went through gentle and modified versions of the sun salutation and many other common yoga poses. I enjoyed the gentle stretch and relaxation to start my weekend. But since I am more experienced in yoga, I wish it were a bit more vigorous. To be fair, though, I need to try the other two types of classes, as the Easy Flow is meant to be...well, easy. The only thing I disliked was that the class was only 3 people large. I enjoy bigger classes because I feed off of the energy of others in the class. I also have a feeling that most folks don't know about this place. If you're not interested in yoga, they also have tai chi classes. I recommend it and will be back!

Downsides: Sort of a small space, so right after they do a Groupon or something it can get grossly crowded for a week or two. Very limited weekend classes: none on Fridays or Sundays, and only one on Saturday at 8:30a. Pretty inconvenient if you have a regular 9-5. Also if you're under 30 you'll be the youngest in the class.

Often they have free protein bars for grabs... BONUS. The owner is friendly and has been responsive to issues I've had with scheduling. I do think a few upgrades would go a long way. For one, there is not enough equipment for each member in some of the fuller classes - there seems to be a shortage of 3lb and 4lbs weights. I'd LOVEEE new equipment to help switch up the variety of the class - like ankle weights, pilate rings or weighted balls. Just a thought. There's only so much you can do with body weight, a ball and 5 lb or less weights in a barre class. Most of the teachers are creative and great at adding variety but other times it feels a bit stale. I also noticed in the classpass app its says free towels and water. There isn't water or towels. There's a brita filter water pitcher in their back area inside of a fridge but I'm not sure if it's open to the public. I've been dying of thirst before and asked about water and was told to grab a glass from the cabinet and use that brita - I felt like I was at a friend's house asking an adult for a drink, lol. She does not have a calm voice, says the pose name typically instead of saying how to pose, and is easily distracted. It's a very small class, about 6 people. This means plenty of room and you can be assured a mat as well as a ball, if used. Sadly the instructor doesn't really pay much attention so she won't advise how to adjust your stance despite the class size. Very friendly and chatty group often. Each session is about an hour long.

After a classes here I feel that I've really worked out, and I see lasting results because of it. Lorraine has been a great friend of mine and I always feel comfortable asking questions. The class seems to go by fast as there's a variety of exercises you do and stretching after. I feel confident here. Step Into Fitness really is a gem in this city!
