I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. This place was IMMACULATE! It smelled nice and everything was clean. The art was tasteful. They sterilized everything and showed us the chemical strip that showed that everything was sterilized. Nicholas was warm and kind and answered all my questions. I was shocked at how painless my septum piercing went; I wanted to add on a service but got scared. Now that I see how well this shop treats people, I'll definitely be back!! I have got 2 piercings done here my first nose piercing and my helix. as the place was very clean, workers were all nice and friendly and the quality of the piercings were fine they are very overpriced I was told $60 for my nose piercing but when I went to get it done I ended up paying over $100 we were not told we had to purchase the jewelry separate but it was okay with me until I found out how much the jewelry costed then had to pay extra money for the cleaning solution. Both piercings were done quick and pretty painless I would recommend this place if you don't mind spending the mone. read more

I worked with Cariann to design the piece of my dreams. I actually stumbled upon her via instagram through hashtags that I had followed. We exchanged a few email conversations on what I wanted in my piece. It was helpful that I had found a few designs that gave my inspiration and I was able to tell her my likes and dislikes of each. I actually walked into my appointment without knowing what it would look like. She showed me the design she came up with and the different variations she created using a tablet. Once I approved the one I liked, she sized it and printed it out. I loved the design she showed me, but loved the finished product even more after the shading was done. read more

After 15 years of hesitation I got my nose pierced. Looked up local shops with good reputation and was drawn to Burning Hearts Co. From the moment I walked in and wasn't immediately greeted to the paying before getting serviced it all threw me off. I didn't feel the connection I wanted to with such a big moment for me. The nose rings prices vary from $30 up to $600+. I wish my experience was different in the sense of the staff being so up tight, I would've rather pay AFTER getting my piercing and the post care instructions were A LOT to register while I was a ball of nerves. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends and family since hospitality is everything in a business. read more

Our experience was a very good one, and we would eagerly endorse this shop and its staff. It was easy to get a reservation, and when we showed up our artist (Eric) was ready and waiting. We went through the sign-up process while Eric was making sure what we wanted and worked on stencils for our tattoo. The work itself was done quickly and professionally, as seems to be the case with everyone in this entire shop. His finished product was beautiful, and his discussion of after-care was thorough. The costs here are quite reasonable (and they accept credit cards). In sum, we have nothing but praise for Burning Heart, and we'll be back shortly for a second tat. read more

I now have 9 tattoos all done by Chris at Burning Hearts and each time I am amazed with his attention to detail and dedication to getting the best tattoo possible. While Chris has a more Neo-Traditional style as an artist, I have also gotten some great American Traditional work done by him. Where Chris really excels, is his ability to transform a concept into reality. He can take a simple idea you have and transform it into a masterpiece worthy of the Sistine Chapel ceiling. While Chris is my favorite artist at the shop i have also seen great work from Eric and Wes as well. Eric has done some amazing traditional, blackwork, and mandalas (His skull game is on point). Wes has also done some of my favorite work as well and while he can tattoo beautifully in any style, I have seen some beautiful realism and lettering done by him. I scheduled two appointments today to have my septum pierced with my sister (a minor). The customer service that Nicholas provided was amazing! Incredibly personable and reassuring, I felt comfortable knowing that everything was sterile and disposable. Update: So, after I made the review, Jay reached out and apologized for my experience and asked if there's anything he can do, offered to give aftercare, just in general very helpful and apologetic. I actually had an issue with my piercing (no this doesn't mean he botched me. It was definitely something neither one of us saw coming. ) and he was very helpful and patient with that. It was a surprisingly difficult experience for me and he went out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable and I really appreciate that more than anyone can know. With that being said, though I'm not gonna remove my review or alter it to sugarcoat my experience, I will definitely say I will come back and I will recommend anyone to Jay, including my mom! Though Jay and Michayla is five stars, I will leave it at four stars due to my overall shop experience. I hope this was able to help anyone who wanted a thorough review. read more

We came to Nicholas and Burning Hearts for a snake bite lip piercing for my 16 year old because NY was not allowing these piercings due to COVID. It was well worth the two hour round trip. The shop is clean and uses all the right safety protocols. Nicholas is knowledgeable, professional, and communicates the process and the aftercare clearly. My kid's mouth is not symmetrical and Nicholas took the time to line up the piercings perfectly before proceeding. He also has a gorgeous collection of jewelry that I have not seen at other shops. Just left from getting my nose pierced by Nicholas. Can't lie, I was very nervous at first (usually I don't do great with needles outside of getting tattoos) but he made me feel very comfortable and much less anxious than when I originally walked in. I came to see Wes as I was in desperate need of a cover up. I was immediately impressed with how clean the shop was and how friendly all the staff was. After an initial consult, Wes assured me we could fix my tattoo. I didn't have high hopes considering what he had to work with. After several sittings it's almost unrecognizable! I felt completely comfortable & it barely hurt, plus it's healed really well since then. I came to Burning Hearts a couple months ago to get a piercing done, and Taylor was beyond amazing. She was super friendly and knowledgeable and, bless her heart, extremely patient with me! It was my first piercing besides my earlobes, so I was definitely nervous and probably a little annoying. But she was great. Once we decided on a rook piercing (she let me know that a daith piercing wouldn't work for my ear), she had me pick out the jewelry (she didn't rush me) and then she walked me through everything step-by-step, including what it would feel like and how to take care of the piercing afterward. I am so glad I decided to get my ears re-pierced here! The place was clean with friendly and helpful staff. I previously called to make inquiries and Joe who answered the phone was more than helpful. He took his time listening to my concerns and explained what they do. I had earlobe reconstructive surgery done due to split earlobes; so I needed to get my ear re-pierced by someone who was more knowledgeable than a high school kid doing it in Claire's. Taylor was very friendly, approachable but more importantly she was very knowledgeable and professional! She took her time assessing my ears and asking me about what I want done. She explained everything and went over what she doing and what to expect. Being a nurse, I was hesitant to go to just anybody. Taylor was very patient and understanding; she took her time explaining her background, experience, and the certifications she had to complete to do her job. I felt so comfortable and safe that I decided to also get my Tragus pierced! Overall, I was very satisfied and have nothing but good things to say! I travel from Boston to get my tattoos done here because of how great my experiences have always been! I have a few tattoos done by Wes, that I get complimented on a daily basis and just recently had my eyebrows microbladed by Kaya. They came out better than I could have ever imagined! I am never one to give reviews let alone bad ones but this was deserving. I had gone here a couple years ago to get a nose piercing and within a few days it felt out. I went back and they told me i'd have to wait since there's built up cartilage there (no problem). I went yesterday to get my second hole pierced. Last night one of them fell out. I was desperate to get something in there (as I couldn't find the original earring) so it wouldn't close before I could go back. I went back to the same piercer in which he didn't let me finish telling him the situation and gave him the earring to switch from the one that was holding the original's place. I told him my concerns of me using rubbing alcohol earlier to get it in, didn't even acknowledge it. The only comment I got out of him was "you used a crappy earring because it stained your ear." I'm driving away and I realize he put the original in my FIRST HOLE. So now I still have the "crappy" earring in the newly pierced hole and the original in my already pierced first hole. Their jewelry seems to truly suck as they always come out and i've never had this problem anywhere else (and I have quite a few others). read more
