They put one on and only a couple hours later the tire blew( more like crumbled ) because it was dry rotted, while he was driving it. Luckily nobody was hurt , but check the comments for the picture, this could have went really really bad on the highway and with an inexperienced child driver. We called and they said they would absolutely not refund us or even give us half back but if they had the right size tire in stock they would give us a replacement but of course turned around and said they don't have that size tire. I walked over to the shop and they brought it over for a quick look, saying it was an issue with the rear differential and transfer case. Instead of jumping to an easy solution of buying expensive new components they suggested breaking it down further to find the best solution. In the end, they were able to repair it at a fraction of what I would have paid at a dealership. Scott and his mechanics were honest, friendly and easy to deal with throughout the process.

July 29,2026, I had 2 rear tires replaced by them w/ new Hercules offbrand. Aug 4, i took the car out for the first time and drove to Asheville. The right rear tire was flat. I drove to Firestone on Patton. They said the tire had black powder from the filing of the edges to make it fit the metal rim and that the heat, the overfilling and over aggressive filing left a loose fit around the metal rim that had let air escape. I later confirmed this theory with a deputy from the Sherrif's office. Aug 5 i took the tire back to FT&W and demanded my money back. They took possession of the tire and only refunded $75, half of the tire's $150 price. They said i had hit a curb with the rear right tire and thats why it was flat. They also said there was nothing wrong w/ the tire. I have 4 witnesses that will confirm my account of events, as well as receipts of what work was done when, and by who.

They had all the needed equipment and went above and beyond to ensure no damage was done to my truck or trailer. The fully-loaded trailer started to slide down the hill and was taking the truck with it. It was a very tricky situation and he handled it like a pro! Fast, professional and ready to help.
