There is this little historical jail to visit at the base, otherwise there isn't too much to it. Kingsburg's Draper street is a block away which is this cute little Swedish themed area. It's no Solvang and surprisingly doesn't have any Swedish restaurants that I could see but it has cute architecture and the Swedish flag on many businesses. It entertaining to walk around a little bit after unless you are in the summer heat.

We found the back side of the fire station to be the best one for us. It's fairly close to the freeway so it would probably have been a quick stop if we didn't drive around the town for a bit. He let us know we could check out all the buildings there. We explored Clay school house first, they had the classroom set up like it was still in use. There were mannequins in there to look realistic. Super cool. I found my nana's name and picture from her year book. It was on the wall of the class room. Then we checked out the church, it's still in use. The fire house was cool, we got to take pics on the engine. The old house was beautiful inside and out! It's a really nice way to spend the day! They're open on weekends. Free parking.

The venue itself is incredible, but my favorite part was the staff & management team at the park who assisted us with almost everything for our big day. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a stress-free day. Helping with deliveries day-of, ideas for layout/planning, draft timelines, you name it! My family came here to visit not knowing what to expect. It was a great experience learning how Forestiere built these tunnels so intentionally and with innovation. The guided tour is about 60 minutes and includes a lot of walking with some stairs, so be prepared with comfy shoes. However, there's also benches in the tunnels if you need a quick seat. The tour ends in the grand ballroom which connects to the gift shop. There you can find citrus sorbet made from the fruits of this garden. I had to give that a taste and it was sweet and zesty. I went home with some postcards to send to friends too. This place is also California State National Landmark No. 916! You must add it to your bucket list of adventures.

Restrooms are a little difficult as well. Kinda remind me of the ones at The Pismo Beach Pier. Enter at your own risk and take some napkins with you just in case and some hand sanitizer. We spent about 3 or so hours playing & exploring. It's really meant for younger ages,probably up until about 10-11. My son is going to be 11 next week & loved it because he loves dinosaurs, digging & science. Not sure i would go out of my way to go back, only because we don't live locally but if we lived in fresno I would consider getting a membership. They have a lot of great programs throughout the week which would be great for school field trips or homeschooling co-ops.

Krista was fantastic at making us feel confident in our abilities. She showed interest in each of us and answered every question we had. This was my 3rd time visiting Sequoia & Kings Canyon and I learned things I never knew! She is exceptionally knowledgeable about Sequoia & Kings Canyon. This was the highlight of our trip!
