    Our dogs loved it

River access and we stayed in site 13 which was the farthest but it seems that everyone states and likes that site. It's the corner one and we had a gentleman come fish in the corner and a resident pass by with his dog somewhat close but not in our site. You can rent a fire pit for $10 and they bring you wood with it as well so not a bad trade. We paid $50 for a riverfront corner spot. The bathrooms were ok but there were no toilet seat covers :( The grounds man was super helpful and said the water for the showers would be hot for as long as you needed it to be hot. We stayed overnight and didn't have a need for the showers. The roadway to get to the sites was pretty muddy so wouldn't recommend a car going through here. They give you a code to go in and out of the park. It's not a gate but an arm like those you pay at public parks. They have a weird dog policy. No pit bulls, Dobermans, chows and there was one more probably Rottweilers but can't remember. Said it was insurance related. So I would call ahead if you have a big dog needing to stay.

Very nice spot. I come here once a year with family and friends and we love the atmosphere. We had one issue with Charlie and he came to our site about a tree. Instead of letting me talk and explain he was very aggressive and very very rude. If he's still there next time we go my family and friends will no longer keep going when we just relax and enjoy our time. Dave the security and Tim were very nice and handle our situation with Charlie wonderfully.

Ask the Community - Lindy's Landing Campground

    Do they have monthly rates?

    Yes they do.

    Is this a gated campground?

Yes. You need a key card to enter but an arm like rr crossings.

    Is there tent camping?

Unfortunetly, the campgroud has decided to become an only RV park. You are allowed up to 2 tents with your site along with your RV, tent trailer, camper, pop-up trailer and etc. Just not allowing only tent sites.

    Is there a playground?

Well it's maybe not your normal playground but there is a ton of things to do and see just the camping environment and friendly atmosphere alone is a playground. When the river water is low there is plenty of sandy beach for a kid to explore

It's literally across from the fishing area, picnic area, farthest from the traffic and road noise. The water has a fountain and ongoing movement of water, perhaps that's why it seems more natural looking vs stagnant and gross. Most of this area and the opposite side of the river is undeveloped so it has a nature feel that most campsites I've been to don't give. And I've been to lots of them. My Hubby and sons caught like 7, 8, and 20 fish they said. All catch and release. Tons of catfish & bass. Some are so huge. Keep staring at the water near the small metal dock there and you might see them all. We are in site 122. The road noise woke me up at 6am, so I put in my earplugs and slept until 9am. For my future self, make sure to keep a permanent earplug stash in the RV. Other times I've been in other sites and the noise wasn't an issue and we've stayed here at least 3-4x. It's not glamorous, it doesn't have a ton of extra like a pool, putting greens, pool table, snack bar, etc. But it does have a small, shaded kids play area, volleyball net, basketball hoop, shaded picnic tables. It's so country feeling and relaxing. Its quiet & thats what I prefer when I go camping. This is one of my favorite camping spots in the cooler months of early Spring like March. One day I'd like to come here & camp on my way to Yosemite or Kings Canyon. Great rates & highly suggest.

After staying for nine days we found out that you had to become an escapee's member and the cost was $49. To join for one year. The park refunded this in a free night credit. While staying here we met the park manager and took a tour after finding out they are a 55+ members park. After reviewing the park information and seeing what a beautiful park this was we decided to make this our home base. We travel to many places after retirement but found that we needed a place to hang out hat for Dr. appointments, and staying connected with our family in the Central Valley. We bought in and picked our site. The unique nature of living here is that the members here all volunteer to help keep cost down to run the park. This gave us a sense of ownership and community. We volunteer 3 days per week for approximately 4 hours per day and join in on special events to help set up or organize events that are for the members. It's not like having a job but more like going to hang out with folks that have the same interests. There is constantly an event going on weather you like to play cards, pool, dominoes, darts, working out , or outdoor activities like pickle ball or mini golf the fun is endless. This amazing place has beautiful views of the Sierra foothills and there's even a casino across the mountain. Becoming a member here has given us a place to call home in between our travels and our site remains ours when we're in the park. If you're thinking of becoming a full timer or if you're looking for a great place to glamp, this is the place!

Awareness: Wanting to get my rig out and do some camping…read more The perfect opportunity weekend arose when my daughter decided to visit Disneyland with her boyfriend for her birthday weekend. In other words. The wife, dog and I were free to travel without guests. I chose Naval Air Station Lemoore as our destination for its close proximity, low park fee and the security of being on a naval base. Narrative: This was our first time visiting NAS Lemoore and its RV Park so, not wanting to arrive to any surprises, I did what research I could before our trip. Unfortunately, the Youtube videos of the park were over six years old and didn't provide any information such as directions from the bases main gate or, where to find space numbers once at the park. There was also little to no reviews on any of the RV websites or forum boards to help. But after contacting the bases Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) office, who oversee the RV park. I was able to look at the old Youtube footage and piece together where our space (number 3) was actually located once we arrived. Scene: The RV park is located on the housing side of the base. The RV sites are extremely wide concrete slabs but, the sites are only about 40 feet long. Not enough room to park your Truck or car on the side of your RV but, just enough to park in front of it. Each site comes with 50/30 amp hook-ups. Water. Sewer and cable ready. Additionally, each site has its own metal picnic table. Trash can and a BBQ pit. Open fires from a fire pit are not allowed unless your pit has an arrester. Gas fire pits are okay to use. The park also has a Mens / Womens restroom and, two FREE washer and dryer's for use. Across the street from the RV park is a McDonalds. And to the left of the RV park entrance is a nice brewery / restaurant named Spuds. Adjacent to the RV park is a golf driving range. The outdoor aquatic center and a fenced in dog park with a separate are in the park for smaller dogs weighing 15 pounds or less. Plenty of dog "potty" bags are available trough the dog park. Evidence: Overall, this RV park is super nice and the price we paid for two full nights was $24 dollars. There are a few things you should know before you decide to visit this park though. - When making reservations. Call the MWR office directly. Going through the DOD Lodging website can only make the reservations but, won't be able to tell you your space number. - When you call the MWR office to make your reservations. Be sure to ask what space number you'll have. Your email conformation will NOT have this information. - When arriving at the bases gate. Do NOT use the truck gate. Stay in the right hand lane through the main gate. This is the same for your exit off the base with you RV. The exit looks light (and it is) but, going slow and using the left exit lane may be your only option if leaving on a weekend or holiday. The truck gate is not open on weekends or holidays. - If you drive or pull with a Diesel Truck. The NEX gas station has diesel fuel but, its only located on the island next to the Exchange. - Most of the RV park spaces are currently occupied by long term campers or active military waiting for housing. Expect to see and possibly hear dogs from your neighbors sites. - I was told by the resident manager (Bill) this park will be closing on March 1, 2022 and was expected to be closed for several months while the park is refurbished and expanded. Be sure to call MWR well in advance to see if the park is accepting reservations. Recommendation(s): NAS Lemoore's RV Campground is extremely nice. The amenities can't be beat nor can the price. If you find yourself in the Central Valley of California. Have access to the installation and want to camp and relax cheap, this is your place.
