I stoped to take a look at the bird houses. I was greeted by Burt and his hospitality was over the top. Ended up sitting with him for 45min and sharing stories. He gave me water and just enjoyed his stories. His work erea is a dram come true to anyone that loves wood work. Including roosters and chickens making there self at home. I have driven by this place 100 times and never stopped in. Today was my lucky day, I happened to be buying a martin house and Burt's was my place. Frank Burt, of the namesake, is a true character and someone who takes great pride in his work. The birdhouses are well made and they have so many creative houses that it is hard to buy just one. If you are on 290 you should definitely stop. Fair warning: CASH ONLY. But luckily Frank can point you in the direction of the nearest ATM about 1/2 mile to the west. read more
