Being a small station the service is light. You may need to change trains to get to Birmingham or go from Hemel Station. It is very convenient for the Paper Mill pub across the road and next to the Hotels. The station is only staffed at busy times. The station is very basic due to its size.

Due to a lift issue at Harrow and Wealdstone Station, I had to take a half an hour detour out of my…read morejourney to continue on my Southern Railway train to Harrow Station, only to end up waiting for another train to take me back to Wembley Central, which goes on the opposite platform with a working lift, this trip to the station because of this was an unwanted one. Harrow and Wealdstone Station is a train station in the Harrow area of London, and for ticketing it is classed as region 5. This is quite an old station, to the point where it was made a Grade II Listed building in 1990. The worst ever British railway crash in 1952, which killed 112 people also sadly occurred here at this station. The station is managed by London Underground but has both Underground and Overground trains. As mentioned this station is pretty old, and it has nothing too special about it, it doesn't have a lot of shops or coffee-shops in the station. Services from here go into the likes of Milton Keynes, Wembley Central and London Euston, with the London Euston being an Overground or London Midland service, as I recall this calls at Wembley Central, so if you're going to watch a football match at Wembley this station isn't too far away for you in terms of getting a train into Wembley. As mentioned, a decent yet not fantastic overall level of more local train connections run from here to the likes of Watford, Milton Keynes, Wembley and London, and this station isn't terrible but overall as it lacks any special feature, other than being a Grade II listed building, I sadly feel Harrow and Wealdstone Station deserves a two-star rating, which even then is a little generous.

Very quick to get in / out of the station - just mind where you entered and where you exit. Used the Oyster card and found it very easy to tap in / out. The staff working there are very friendly and will help you out if get confused. Just remember they have 4 platforms and the above ground trains help you see that. Found their bathroom & snack shop very useful for the 35 minute trip into London!

To get to Harry Potter, show them your confirmation or tickets (which must be purchased in advance). If you want a trip back to the train station, pay £2.50 per person for the return ticket. The bus drops you off at the front of the studio, go through the security (or if you need to pick up your ticket, find the pick up window). At the end of the day you return back to the general location to hop back on. When you are back at the Watford Junction, find the right train to take you back to Euston (or wherever you need to go).

Taking the train is a much better option. The station gets busy, as you'd expect. We took an early morning train out of Euston in order to catch the bus and make our 9:45 am check-in for the VIP tour. Getting off the train, you're immediately greeted by signage guiding you to the studio's bus line. And note to all those arriving early - the very first bus leaving Watford Junction is for Studio employees only. There are two benches under a small shelter, which doesn't do much to block the wind on a blustery day. But, they run the buses on a tight schedule, which means you can count on them showing up when they say they're going to be there (schedules are posted inside the shelter for reference). You have to have your confirmation information handy in order to get on the bus and pay £5 (for two people) for the round-trip ticket. The really nice thing is the studio keeps a running track of shuttle departures, which makes it easy to plan your escape from the bustle. Definitely the best option for transport to the studio, if you're not driving on your own and if you're not taking the bus out of London.

Stanmore is the northern terminus of the Jubilee Line on the London Underground. It is in Fare Zone…read more5, with 12 trains per hour to Stratford off-peak (via central London), this increases to 18 trains per hour on-peak. The station has buses outside too, making it also useful to get into Watford, which is around a 35-minute bus journey from here. The station was fairly clean, it has step-free access from the street to the platform, although I would advise who can go up the stairs to do so, as the only fully stepless route involves going through a poorly lit car park which can be pretty dangerous even in the day-time. The ticket gates were open for the whole day, this seemed strange as it could mean people potentially passing through the station and easily evading purchasing a ticket, especially considering I could not find any staff members in the station to patrol this. My friend, who is not from London got charged her usual fair and a maximum fare after touching out twice. Come on TFL, there were two minutes between both taps, how could she travel the whole network in two minutes? A useful station for Stanmore and surrounding towns, they have toilets and buses outside the station that allow you to continue your journey and being a terminus station, there is a train in most of the time, so you can get settled without having to wait on a cold platform. 3*

Watford Underground station serves the Metroplitian line and goes as far as Baker Street. From the…read moreplatform you will have fast trains only at peak times and normal every time. The platform has a lovely warm waiting room and benches along the platform. The men's toilets are on the platform. Due to the lack of digital timetable, you will get the noticboard telling you trains leave every 10mins and 5mins when its peak time. The station has two ticket kiosk, one ticket office, and a cash machine that has been handy many of times. The female toilets maybe old but always clean. You have three ticket barriers and big wide one for bikes, prams and luggage. Because their is no lift you do have to carry your bicycle etc up the stairs. Outside the station you have bicycle ranks, do pleased be warned bicycles have been known to go missing at this station. On your right you have a small newsagents and further round the corner a cab office. Station has good car drop off point/pick up as well. Watford Metroplitian station won't be here much longer due to the inmpending Croxely Rail link. I'm going to miss the scenic route to through Cassiobury Park to the station but until then I will continue to enjoy.

The location is great because if you come in here, you're close to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Embankment and Leicester Square. There are not too many tracks so it's easy to get your train. We took a Southeastern train to London Bridge here and it was very quick. For connected tube service, you can access the Northern and the Bakerloo lines. It's quite a trek to get to the Bakerloo line but it's nice to have the connections in one place. Also, many bus lines go right be here so it's easy to get a direct ride to this station. While we were staying near Trafalgar Square, this was our most used transit hub.

We greatly appreciated the convenience of the direct Canterbury West to Charing Cross Route and the subsequent short walk to our hotel (at Trafalgar Square) from there. This station is a bit smaller than some of the other transit hub stations (e.g. Paddington, St. Pancras, etc.), which was just fine by us.

Finsbury Park is a posh and busy part of North London, not far from Camden Town, and Islington and Arsenal Football Club and all the good stuff. It's very busy and it has overground services, and it's generally a good place, although I've been delayed here a couple of times. It's still one of the better stations around in my opinion. But not enough for five stars.
