I went to Bush's today. I waited over 5 min for someone to come out to take & our order. During that time, other cars had drove up also. Finally someone came out .... But waited on the other cars and just ignored us !! I told the employee I was here before the other cars and she said : Oh I thought you had been waited on. I told her no , I haven't. She went inside and didn't take my order. She come out to bring orders to the cars behind me and still DID NOT take my order. I recently ate from this establishment and after two bites of a chicken tender my top lip got irritated and started to swell up, I was at work when this happened in less than 5 mins my entire mouth had swelled up, I immediately had to leave work. My daughter called the restaurant and asked if there was something different with the tenders or if they were close to any mustard items because im allergic too mustard but they just said they didn't know. If I could give 0 stars I would. It's Mother's Day and I understand it's a holiday but for your sign to say open 10:30am-10:00pm at least have the courtesy to have a sign on the door and windows showing that you will be closing early. I sat out there in the drive thru for 16 minutes and Mike you there were 2 other cars with me and I didn't know they were closed until one of the cars called them and asked and over their Bluetooth speaker they said they closed early. I rarely eat here because of experiences like this but this time I wanted to say something because this new management they got sucks with food service, drive times, customer service, product quality, product consistency, and overall the experience is just bad here. I would not eat here anymore even if there was absolutely nothing else in town open. Very bad for the company for sure. I will be filing a corporate complaint in the morning so that they can get ahold of the franchisee who owns it and can at least let them know what's going on. read more

Everyone was kind and patient with my kiddos changing their mind on orders. Chicken was fresh and the okra was amazing! I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews but even with all the changes my kids made in their order, everything was perfect. And their tea is really good too. I pulled up and ordered a 4pc strip combo and got chicken on the bone which is not my favorite thing to eat. I had a side of mashed potatoes that were spicy for some reason? The girl helping me didn't give me a fork to eat them with or napkins, already back on the road and didn't check the bag before pulling away. Hubby and I had to come to Lamesa on a Sunday morning to do a job. We noticed the bright, new Bush's Chicken on our way into town so when it came time to grab lunch, we decided to go there instead of the standard Dairy Queen or Sonic we typically get in small towns. So glad we did. Like I said, this was on Sunday morning and this must be the go to place for the church crowd. The parking lot was full as well as both drive thru lanes. People were backed up inside, but the folks behind the counter was taking and filling orders as fast as they could. We didn't have to wait long before we had our meals and the orders were correct. The chicken was piping hot, so you had to pull it apart and let it cool a bit before you could eat it. The roll was out of this world delicious! They had a honey bear on the table so I couldn't resist! They also had two different kinds of hot sauce plus these little shakers with seasoning, one spicy one not. The only downside was they no longer serve baked beans even tho it was still on their menu. If you have ever ate at Chicken Express, the food tastes pretty much like theirs, down to the shakers of seasonings. I like CE so I really enjoyed my lunch. Pricey for what you get! The chicken strips was fresh and light for being fried. No real flavor which I guess beats stale oil flavor. Mashed potatoes and gravy were of course packaged. The rolls were pretty standard nothing really tasty or exciting. Fried okra was not overdone or tough. For 6 tenders, 2 sides which were standard packaged/frozen, 1 roll I could buy at Walmart and slap on my plate. The tea was okay. read more

I went to try this place bc a coworker told me about, however my experinece was different. The food is okay but i would not eat it again. Shouldn't even be 1 star... should be a half a star review. I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I wanted to yell and chew somebody out. When I first got in there I waited 10 minutes to order. There was 2 people in there THATS IT!!!! So it wasn't like it was busy! Everyone looked at me and wouldn't even acknowledge my presence. They just kept talking to each other, and dicking around. AND. Don't dare ask for anything after your order, because you WILL wait another 10 minutes for them to acknowledge you. I wanted to walk back to the kitchen and get what I needed. I almost did. Its like they wait until somebody else helps you because nobody wants to be the one to do anything. They are all lazy. The Mexican girl in the front that wears a visor has a horrible attitude. I'd fire her right now. I even said something to her, and she looked at me and rolled her eyes. I was so excited when Bushes came to town. A place that served something other than Mexican food. Our business in town ordered for lunch,I found a hair in chicken livers and the girl in the other office found one in her gravy. Totally grossed us out. I nor my family will ever eat here again. Wonder why none of the eating places here in Lamesa have their health department grade posted on the door where you can see it. They aren't even posted inside the places. Only redeeming quality about this place is their rolls. Stopped in because we thought Rocky's Super Dog was closed. Found out they were just busy and couldn't answer the phone for our to-go order that we always get driving to and from Ruidoso. Chicken was stringy and tough "nothing tender about their tenders" only way we choked a few of them down was with the ranch dressing we ordered which was "Kens" dressing. This Bushes Chicken is fairly new in town and for those who want or need a complete Sunday fried chicken meal with plenty of sides for the family and friends this is the place that caters to take-out; however, whoever took our past two orders has given us sweet tea when my wife and I wanted "un" sweet tea.
