Tried this seafood shop at St. Lawrence Market after hearing the hype on it lobster rolls and it did not disappoint! They've got a great selection menu from sandwiches to grilled or fried seafood plates served with rice, salad, or fries. I went for the lobster roll with fries, and it was absolutely delicious. The lobster was fresh, buttery, and reminded me of the ones you get on the East Coast; one of the best I've had. There was a bit of a line when I got there, but it moved quickly, and the service was super friendly and efficient. My order was ready in just a few minutes. Tip: They only take cash or debit; no credit card

    Grilled octopus and fries

Located inside of the mini food mecca known as St. Lawrence Market, Buster's is located all the way in the back. The line was long, which made me explore my surroundings and other options for a bit. I look for duck and octopus on the menu wherever I go, especially traveling to new places. So, after seeing grilled octopus on Buster's menu board, I knew I'd be back sooner or later. It turned out to be sooner - and followed by a little dose of disappointment. This was my first stop after arriving and getting settled in Toronto. My hopes were high and palate was salivating! I ordered the grilled octopus w/fries and coleslaw. I do appreciate this place for accepting both American and Canadian currency. Having said that, for $30 the portion was a let down. I would have liked more octopus. It was deliciously grilled and succulent, each tentacle was chef's kiss. The coleslaw was more on the bland side, but not too bad. It was edible. The fries were dreadful. And I mean that. No other way to explain it. While plentiful, they were rock hard and practically inedible. I don't want fries that are so crunchy I risk possibly harming a tooth. No thanks!! I'd try the octopus (only) again.

The lobster bisque was delicious! We also loved the fish and chips. Quick service in a convenient urban market setting. With many options in the market I'm glad we chose this! My only complaint was that they didn't offer the warm "Connecticut style" buttered lobster roll because man I love those.

Another food truck review. We were at Hillcrest mall and I've eaten that busters at St. Lawrence market. But what they had to offer was the three tacos and my friend had the lobster roll. The lobster rolls only so-so but it did come with french fries for 18 bucks I had the three tacos for $15 octopus shrimp and ahi tuna I thought my tacos were pretty good I think they could've used a little bit more embellishment but the seafood in it was was good. Would definitely try the tacos again though if I went to Hillcrest, I would try one of the other places because there was authentic tacos there as opposed to busters

I can't say enough great things about this place! They kept the line moving (wasn't too long of a wait) in spite of it being a busy Saturday in May. The lobster roll was delicious as was the grilled swordfish. The portions were great for the price, and it was a nice touch that the food came out on newspaper tissue lol. I haven't been able to stop thinking about St. Lawrence Market and Buster's is the main reason why!

Key lime pie in a jar.

I had a great experience with this food truck. They were at celebration square on Canada day and the line up wasn't huge. Ordered the shrimp and ahi tuna tacos and the key lime pie in a jar. Amazing!!!! Awesome!!! I appreciate that they take your order with your name and call out your name when it is prepared. Very personal, as opposed to a numbered system. The food came out warm and delicious, which stayed warm whilst looking for a place to post out with the busy Canada day crowd. Wow, when I first tasted the shrimp tacos, utterly taken aback! Such crispy shrimp with a spicy batter, tasty coleslaw type filling. The taste was unique and on point. The ahi tuna was thick, delicious and seared perfectly. Again, amazing blend of flavours. The taco shells were delicious and fresh. Salsa was delicious, fresh tomatoes, and onions (can't tell what else it's made of but just deliciousness). Yum. Fantastic medley of flavours and textures. The tacos also came with three small slices of lime, they don't play around they give you enough to juice up your tacos. They also give you good quality thick napkins. For desert, had the key lime pie in a jar. I love that idea! Especially for a food truck, it's great on the go, really keeps it clean while eating on the go. Would make a great present too. Beautiful packaging complete with a cute green ribbon and bow :). The cost of the two tacos are ten dollars and the key lime pie was eight dollars, tax inclusive. Would definitely try again!

One of the better casual seafood spots in the city. Toronto doesn't have many in this category. For that I alone I appreciate this spot. Quality is generally good. Although I understand this can be subject to timing. Salmon and octopus with side salad are my personal favourites. Take out is solid as well. Quality doesn't drop significantly just because it's take out. This can happen at other places. Food is fresh and flavours are great. Don't mind this place at all. One of my go to spots.

    Crab roll!

Last year I finally jumped on the food truck bandwagon. I must admit, this was mostly due to a matter of convenience since food trucks were parking themselves within walking distance from work and home. I was extremely excited to hear that RBC Plaza would be "featuring" food trucks in front of their building during the summer months. One highly anticipated food truck to make its appearance was Buster's Sea Cove. The trucks are usually there from 11am-3pm or until they sell out of product. I've gone to buster's food truck twice, both times they ran out of lobster roll fixings. The lines are always long from 12-2. It's best to go early to avoid the long wait (1130ish) and if you go after 2 you run the risk of having only a limited selection of food to choose from (ie no lobster rolls). I ordered 1 crab roll which came with a small bag of Miss Vicki's chips and a pickle on the side. The portion size of the meal was disappointingly small. The roll was essentially 1 regular piece of wonder bread, toasted, and folded in half with the crab stuffing in the middle. The crab roll itself was delicious in taste consisting of creamy, buttery, salty Alaskan crab! It left me salivating and wanting more. Overall, $10 for 1 slice of bread seems kind of an absurd amount of money to spend on a small sandwich but I suppose a good argument can be made that it's not the bread you are paying for but the crab and also the quality of taste that the overall crab roll has to offer. I don't know if I would be willing to wait in another long line up for such a small sized meal that I find to be overpriced but I do still want to try their lobster rolls and I hear they are opening a location in the PATH http://bustersseacove.ca/blog/busters-sea-cove-is-coming-to-the-path/ . Huzzah! CONVENIENCE!!!

Lobster Roll with Chips and Pickle
    Paul E.

I've been to the Busters truck a couple of times. The first time I went I got the lobster roll, as I was quite excited about it. (as I love lobsters rolls). It is tasty, but it is quite small. This makes sense as lobster is not exactly cheap. It comes with a pickle and a bag of Miss Vicky's chips. This is needed due to the size of the roll, and I am glad they understand this. The best part of the lobster roll though is not the lobster itself, but the buttery bun they put it on. I have also taken part in the shrimp tacos there, and they were good and more filling than the lobster roll... Overall, the product tastes good, but because it's not a portion I can feel full on it's not a place I would frequent regularly. I have opted to stick to making my own lobster rolls... but for those of you who don't want to go through that hassle, this roll is at least better than what they offer at 416 Snack Bar :)

Nuit Blanche happened a few weekends back, and Busters was one of the food trucks that served hungry people throughout the nighttime. They were parked right on Bay st, and within minutes of opening they had quite a large lineup. The people inside the truck were energetic and really efficient. We ordered 2 fish tacos and 2 shrimp tacos, all for $17. Both proteins were battered and fried, and they were super crisp and juicy. They had similar toppings such as salsa and pico de gallo, and thankfully they were served on a corn and not a flour tortilla. I have had many top notch tacos in California, and these were comparable. Overall, these guys were pumping out delicious food fast, they were friendly, and i would definitely go back for more seafood.

quick order and eat kind of place. no frills.
    Christopher P.

Was wandering around Kensington market and came across this place with quite a crowd. Decided to eat here and got the Shrimp Po' Boy sandwich and girlfriend got Grilled snapper. The Po boy sandwich was GoooooD! The shrimps were fried to perfection and the sandwich was the perfect size. The grilled snapper seemed to be nothing special. Wasnt overly impressed. Overall a satisfying meal.

Excellent grilled red snapper over a generous portion of salad. We also tried the clam chowder which was also good with plenty of clams.

FG's was featuring four signature sammies and The Feel Good Guru was offering up vegan eats. So I figured now was as good a time as any to check him out. By 7:30 p.m. The Bunky was hopping. Who ever lined up the tunes had the place rocking and you got a complimentary glass of wine upon entry, which eased the wait of the lineups. FG's four signature sammies included The Havana Club: Steam Whistle pulled pork, havarti cheese and a douse of something with some kind of attitude; The Virginia Ham, onions and chili aioli; The El Paisano, egg fried spaghetti with Wagyu beef and veal meatballs; The Cuban Mac with Chorizo sausage, 3 cheese baked macaroni (yes, you read that right, a mac & cheese sammie!) and finally The Toronto Cheese Steak featuring sliced rib eye, Havarti cheese, hash browns, onions, Dijon aioli and a fried egg. Being with friends we just bought up a batch of the sammies and passed them around. Surprisingly for me, my personal fave, was the Cuban Mac & Cheese. At first I thought, mac & cheese on a bun? No way, this is a gonna be a carbo blow out. Two bites into this Mac & Cheese bliss and I was a convert.
