They arrived w/aUHaul truck. When they saw we had some really good stuff, one of the guys was suspiciously on the phone calling someone. My husband saw this/overheard part of the conversation before he quickly got off the phone. They tossed things in fast took all but a couple items then said they would be back in an hour. 5 hours passed. Called the store and the folks there said the guys had not yet come back from the pick up. Since the store was only about 15 minutes away I'd say they had themselves a great time picking thru and stealing the items meant for needy people. If you are the management you are either a part of this criminal activity or you are clueless and you hired the wrong people. The perfect crime from a really crappy business. What goes around comes around. Some day they will stand and be judged.

They have a lot of items for super cheap. While the stuff is all used and pretty well loved, it all seemed reasonably nice. I could see someone who loves restoring furniture having a grand old time in here. We got a decent table for only $9 that we plan on painting. They have a large selection of items in all their sections, including VHS tapes, clothes and vases. My husband and I plan on coming back often because the employees are kind and the items are great for a thrift store.

The prices are really reasonable compared to other third stores in the area. The store is well organized and clean. I found several nice vintage pieces of glass during my visit and some notecards. The staff is comprised of volunteers that are welcoming, super friendly and helpful. The clerk carefully wrapped my purchases so that they wouldn't break. They accept donations, too. Eventually we went to the counter and there was a young woman, maybe a teenager, ducked on the counter on her phone and eating hard boiled eggs, she told us to wait, so she got off her phone and called someone else from the back to come do the register. This is in the same place where the Kalamazoo Farmers Market is. I actually found out about it…read morethrough Nonla Burger's Instagram account, and since I was in town this weekend my friends and I decided to check it out. It was HOT when we went (about 90 degrees out) but the market has some nice shaded areas. There were a lot of vendors selling true vintage things (clothing, typewriters, records, etc.) and a few selling homemade things. I ended up buying a small Alice in Wonderland purse (clutch-sized) for $12 which I really liked. There were also a few food vendors on site - that day (8/5/18) there was Nonla Burger, plus a kebob stand and one other small food truck. We also had ice cream from Red Trike Ice Cream and that was super tasty. 4 stars instead of 5 from me because the bathroom situation could be better (they have Womens and Mens bathrooms by the "Office" area, which is in the middle of the market) ... apparently during the Farmers Market they have more of an indoor bathroom area though. Regardless of the weather, this was a fun time and I'd go back again when in the area.
