My kids got pampered there everyday & yet learn lot many things there. All the teachers are amazing and helpful. They all offered me help at each stage of my kid's needs. It was just as co-parenting. I loved everything there - breakfast menu, lunch menu, teaching, different activities, crafts. Also, they take permission from parents if they plan to show movie/screen to the kids. Moreover, you just pay for the days your kids are attending. It was going all good until i had to shift :( I am in love with Valley Child Care center at Tempe and still have not yet over it.

I am sharing my personal experience with this daycare because it was extremely upsetting as a…read moremother. Last month, I stopped by the facility to find out whether my daughter was there and to visit and breastfeed her. My ex had previously enrolled her here for a week in February, but I was unsure whether she had been enrolled here again. I provided my ID and was assisted by a staff member, who allowed me to enter and see my daughter in the infant room. At the time, the babies were being put down for a nap and my daughter had just fallen asleep. I did not want to disrupt her or the other children, so I decided to return in about an hour. Kelley Adam's who I believe to be the main coordinator walked up to me with my ex and I's family court order in hand flipping through it, as I was talking with the other staff member. I, then, told them I'd be back to see my daughter in about a hour when she is awake and left. When I returned, I was initially asked to wait in the hallway. I asked if I could breastfeed my daughter in the infant room, where I had previously been allowed to see her and where there was comfortable seating available. I was told that they would prefer that I remain in the hallway. The coordinator then approached and told me that I was not permitted to be there based on the court order. I asked her to explain and show where the court order prohibited me from visiting my daughter at the facility, since she had it in hand again. She couldn't point it out. The situation became increasingly tense. The coordinator also accused me of being on the property the previous day with another person--saying she had my "tags" and car plate, but I know this is false. I have full receipts and video on my whereabouts the day before and have no reason to hide. She, then, told me that she would call my ex to pick my baby up right then, as she picked up the phone again to call him. She then said that my daughter's enrollment could potentially be terminated, if there's further problems. Police were eventually called to the facility. I spoke with an officer outside, and after the officer spoke with the daycare staff, I was told that I could not return to the facility due to the situation and the management's decision. I spoke with a judge the next day and he clarified that there's nothing in the court order that prevents me from seeing my daughter, while she is at daycare in my ex's week. He stated I have constitutional rights and should practice them. What made this experience especially difficult for me was that I had come to the facility simply hoping to see my daughter and breastfeed her. This was her first week back at this daycare, since that one week in February. She's been fully in my care since birth, and being prevented from visiting her was emotionally distressing for me. I understand that daycare staff must prioritize children's safety and may need to review court orders or address complicated family situations. However, I felt that the situation could have been handled more professionally and with greater care and respect. Rather than calmly discussing the court order and clarifying the facility's policies, the interaction escalated quickly and resulted in the police being called. My experience left me feeling unwelcome and unfairly treated as my daughter's mother. I would encourage parents in co-parenting or custody situations to ask the facility in advance about its visitation policies, how it handles court orders, and whether both parents are permitted to visit their child during daycare hours.

On the DES website, I found that there is a duplicate case involving another child that is similar to what happened to my daughter. This preschool needs to be closed. There's no question. The director resigned. Prior to that resignation, there were multiple bruises, scratches, and cuts that happened to my daughter, in addition to a black eye. My daughter also mentioned that another child was bullying her, yet the preschool does not proactively provide incident reports. The former director showed a lack of leadership. I don't understand why this preschool is still operating. I have serious concerns about the children enrolled there, especially regarding the sub-director, DOMINIC (the new sub-director). Her behavior has been unprofessional. She has walked around in socks without shoes while on duty, which even my daughter questioned. When I ask questions, she often does not have answers. If she does not know, she redirects me to the teacher, and the teacher also says they do not know. This means no one can clearly explain what happened to my children. She does not communicate professionally, does not listen, interrupts, and shifts blame onto the parent. Her responses are often unreasonable, raising concerns about her role as sub-director. I have also observed teachers using their phones. When they are not on their phones, they are often chatting and not fully supervising the children. My children have eczema, and I provide their food. However, one of the sub-directors, Heidi (from a different branch), strictly monitors whether the food aligns with CACFP-approved meals, to the point that I questioned whether my children are expected to go without food while the program focuses on funding compliance. This preschool has serious issues. I want to raise awareness for other parents considering enrolling their children here. Based on my observations, this preschool lacks proper training and supervision. Staff appear to be hired to watch children but are not adequately trained. I am not confident that all staff are trained in CPR or first aid. I have asked the former director and both sub-directors about the cameras, and I was told that the cameras do not record and only buffer for about five minutes. This raises additional safety concerns. They are often unable to answer parents' questions and tend to provide vague responses. There are a few teachers who genuinely care for the children, but most do not. There are many new teachers, and only two consistent teachers assigned to a class, while the rest are constantly rotating. I have also observed staff raising their voices at children and not treating them with patience or kindness. This preschool always misorganized the kids' stuff. As a parent, I don't have time to find or spend 10 to 15 minutes to find my children's stuff. And this preschool has been like that, to the point where the parents need to ask all the teachers, where are the children's stuff?, where is the lunch bag? and they will ask each other. So this preschool misplace a lot of stuff of the children's here.

My children feel at home here and I have created great relationships with the ladies who work here. We left Valley Child Care for a brief period of time because we moved to the Gilbert area. I was not able to find any daycare that equaled the quality and service. I decided to bring my kids back to this daycare even though it was out of my way! One of the amazing things about Valley Child Care is that the people who work there truly care about the kids. Some of the teachers that work there have been at Valley for over 20 years! This is not something you encounter often in childcare settings. Other things that I really love about this daycare are that you only pay for the days you actually attend! So if you only attend for 1 day a week then you just pay the daily rate. This is SO rare! Also, all diapers and food are included in the daily rate! You cannot beat that! The kids are provided with nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks. My kids honestly eat better than I do during the day! I am also very pleased with the education my kids are getting. My pre-school son is doing great job with learning his letters and numbers. He also participates in extra-curricular activities such as jiu-jitsu and Snack Attack. My 1 year old daughter has also developed so much since she started attending. She has learned social skills and has even learned to say please and thank you! Both my children also bring home daily artwork. He is a very smart boy and is proud to share all that g he e has learned at Busy Bees. But, unfortunately, Oct 31, 2024 was my grandsons last day with Busy Bees. It was a sad day for both of us. My boy was confused that he wasn't coming back to his school. My grandson had been attending Busy Bees since he was 16 months old, now he is 4 years old. He learned so much during his time with you and made so many friends. To this day he ask for his best friend. He and his BF were in separable. I know he misses Busy Bees and so do I! Sadly, once we adopted my grandson DES terminated our daycare discount program, which helped me tremendously. I was left on my own to pay daycare expenses at 100%. unfortunately I just could not afford Busy Bee fees. I found a preschool who offered me a scholarship that did help with lower fees. The unfortunate thing is I do not think he is learning nearly as much as he did at Busy Bees. If Busy Bees had a scholarship program that could help low income grandparents like me, who make little money, I would bring him back in a heart beat. As…read morea first-time mom, leaving my baby in someone else's care when I returned to work was extremely hard. Kids Inc. made the transition for both me and my son extremely seamless and easy. Every staff member knows my son by name, not just his classroom teachers. I feel welcome every time I enter the building. I know my son is safe and cared for. Since the center has started going for national accreditation, they have started using an app, Procare, as their main mode of communication. It's so easy!! I have peace of mind knowing my son's teachers are just a text message away and I thoroughly enjoy getting notifications and pictures throughout the day. I love the curriculum the center follows, and my son's language and motor skills have flourished! I am an educator myself and am a huge advocate for early childhood education and intervention. The more exposure to learning children have at a young age, the better! Plus, I love how this center supports teachers. When I am on a break from school, my son stays home with me and the center does not charge us during those weeks. This truly shows me how family-centered this company is and we are grateful. One teacher was sitting at a table (with no children) and the other was by the cubbies, so they weren't preoccupied. I let them know my son was ready for his bottle and mentioned the time of his last diaper change -- no acknowledgment. I repeated myself, and the only response I got was a flat "okay." I also tried to explain the situation with his hand, but again, not a single word or even a nod in response. Feeling completely dismissed, I walked out and went straight to the front desk to express my concerns. I told them that if my son wasn't wanted there, I would gladly take him somewhere he is. The staff member apologized and said she would speak to the teachers, but that doesn't undo how uncomfortable and unwanted we were made to feel. I ultimately decided to remove my son that day and take him to a sitter -- I couldn't leave him in a place where he was clearly not welcomed. What's even more disappointing is that since this happened, I haven't received a single call, text, or apology from anyone at the daycare. When they talk to you about you child misbehaving they talk to you like you're a kid as well "you know biting and spitting is wrong."We (myself and my wife) already know what Behavior is wrong and don't need it spoon fed to us. They also don't really go over what happens. I understand you can't have eyes on every single kid every second. Is he being picked on? Provoked? Etc? He isn't just randomly going up to someone and hitting them for no reason. They didn't really give him a chance to improve or give us the resources they claimed to have available so that makes me kind of sad. I wonder why they expelled him so fast. He has been going there for 4 years. They also haven't had a "principal" for the past 3-4 months. We were already talking about switching daycares a couple weeks ago (though we didn't want to because everyone is nice and friendly) so I guess it's for the best. If your 4 YEAR OLD child isn't an absolute 100% angel and fluent in logical thinking and comprehension of consequences then maybe look elsewhere.
