Joe does truly believe in incorporating honesty, integrity, and authenticity in ourselves and in our everyday relationships. I appreciate and value Joe's openness to incorporate spirituality into his practice (if the patient desires it - as I see this as an important part of my life- as one who practices a faith.) Mr. Nines also pitted one spouse against the other, aligned himself solely with one spouse excluding the other instead of being neutral and not taking sides, made inappropriate remarks in sessions and refused to collaborate with another therapist per the couple's request and who was interested in helping the couple save their marriage. Additionally, despite Mr. Nines being a participating provider of the couple's insurance, because he wasn't being paid fast enough, he tried to solicit money from the couple instead of waiting another week for the insurance company to pay him which was highly unethical. As an MSW, it was the MOST disappointing experience I have ever had with a therapist and mental health services and not only would I NEVER return to Joe Nines, I wouldn't recommend anyone to see him!!
