Given its proximity to Disneyworld, the Wizard Gift Shop sells many Disney shirts, backpacks, hoodies, pins, magnets and other souvenirs at half the price of the Disney stores! As I was visiting Orlando during NYE, I was able to find affordable and equally stylish shirts with " Disneyworld 2025". They also often have discounts, such as buy two shirts for $25 or $28, and have new arrivals at least monthly! Will definitely be back next time I'm going to Disneyworld!

The place was very clean but you could definitely tell that some of the items they are selling here came directly from deadstock warehouses because a few of those things were dusty. You can also tell it is very dated items because they had many things that went all the way back to high school musical and High School Musical 2 movies that came out over 10 years ago now! I enjoyed that they sold many different things like coffee mugs, keychains and even close! A few other shirts were very cute but nothing was in my size that I wanted unfortunately. They also offer things for around the house like travel size toiletries and cleaning sprays or soaps for the bathroom. We got out, and approached the door. I saw a man on the stairs staring at us when we walked in. He, and the other employees would appear right where we were looking and pretend to straighten the already organized store. I didn't see $5.99 shirts anywhere, but picked up a Disney Shirt that was $14.99 we were going to buy. After feeling uncomfortable and followed, we decided to put it back and leave to go elsewhere and shop. Glad we did! Ever since the place changed owners, I can tell that they've had them focusing on making a more pleasant customer service experience. The weekend staff is so friendly and full of energy (I'm talking about YOU, Daniel), the shelves are always full and neat (except for the game guides. Most are well-used, so they unfortunately look like a frayed mess), and their selection is so wide, they even have some room for collectible goodies. The prices are a little rough, but they do try their best to price below GameStop for newer titles. I thought the retro games were pretty costly, but honestly, it's usually close to the cost as if I were to get them on eBay and include shipping. Can't really fault them for that if they're trying to make a profit. If there's anything close to negative I have to say, it's probably that the place is getting a little too popular again? Because there are so many people coming in, having only two people running front desk at a time leaves the risk of customers waiting a long time for a simple transaction, since they also handle repairs and the like. Maybe have someone who doesn't run a register that goes around answering questions? Not sure, but I do get sad when I see somebody who has been waiting in line just sigh and walk off because front desk is still working on testing a traded-in console. Rising along U.S. Highway 192, the enormous fiberglass orange is one of those quirky roadside landmarks that makes you want to stop and take a picture. The story of Orange World dates back to 1971, when Eli Sfassie moved from Indiana to Florida and opened a Texaco gas station near the newly opened Walt Disney World. To take advantage of the growing number of tourists traveling through the area, he began selling souvenirs from the station's service bay. In 1988, Sfassie transformed the building into a giant orange at a cost of about $6,000. The resulting structure stands approximately 60 feet tall and has been promoted as the World's Largest Orange. In 2004, strong winds from hurricane Charley reportedly tore a giant decorative crystal ball from the nearby Giant Wizard gift shop. The enormous ball crashed onto the roof of Orange World, leaving a dent in the structure. According to local lore, the crystal ball was never found. In 2017 the giant orange has even appeared in Sean Baker's critically acclaimed film The Florida Project, adding to the colorful roadside scenery surrounding the movie's setting. Orange World suffered another setback in March 2023 when a fire broke out in the storage area above the gift shop, causing significant smoke damage to the interior. For a time, merchandise was sold outside while repairs were underway. The remodeled interior reopened in October 2024, bringing the attraction back to full operation. Today, Orange World sells fresh citrus, juice, orange trees, snacks, cookies, candy, honey, alligator jerky, sauces, jams and jellies, and a huge selection of Florida-themed souvenirs. Inside, you'll find plenty of inexpensive souvenir clothing, T-shirts, Disney and Universal merchandise, gifts, and other tourist memorabilia. I was surprised by how expensive the orange juice was. It was $3.50 for a small cup. Gallons were $14.99. While I absolutely love the giant orange itself, have to admit that I found the inside somewhat underwhelming. For me, the exterior is the star of the show. There is just something wonderfully nostalgic about this giant orange. If you enjoy quirky roadside attractions, classic Florida kitsch, and places that are fun to photograph, Eli's Orange World is definitely worth a quick stop. It's the kind of wonderfully odd attraction that is so Florida.
