The class was to be three two hour classes. One class was two hours. The others were approximately…read more1.5 hrs. The first class you make a small item with strips of clay by hand. Second class a larger iten. Third class you paint the items. The teacher never seemed focused on teaching. You do not see the firing of the items. No demonstration of the wheel. There were only three people in the class. I was visiting from out of town and was so excited initially and left so disappointed. Picked up the items, there was no opportunity to view of discuss. Items were neatly wrapped in paper and when I said I had hoped to see my work, I was told I could unwrap in the car or at home. The larger piece had small cracks. First class; You are given strips of clay you work with your hands to shape into something.small. Second class you come back and make something a little larger with the clay strips. Last class you paint it. Then you pick up the finished piece all wrapped up. $120.00 Would have liked more one on one time or more demonstration. Would like to have experienced the all the processes, if not live demonstration perhaps by video.
