We drove all the way from NC to check out Snooper's after seeing their sign on our way back from a different trip a few months ago. They have a large variety of items and it's definitely a great way to kill some time looking through everything. The prices vary based on vendor, and some were marked firm while some were not, so I can only assume you could possibly negotiate prices or make a bundle deal if you found enough items. Of the items I was interested in, I was VERY pleased with the prices. I ended up leaving with a 1971 Coca Cola Polar Bear that plays jazz Christmas music for $5!! I mean, come on. That's a steal. Took him home and put new batteries in and he works like a charm. The only other thing that had my interest was a Christmas cookie jar. After looking online, I realized that it was priced extremely well and fair, but I just sadly didn't have the room for it. Overall, super fun place to check out! They are right next to two other antique stores, so it's a great location to spend the afternoon shopping. read more

One of my favorite groupings of antiques shops right off the highway. I try to stop anytime we are driving past. So many different vendors and you just never know what you are going to find. They have cheap stuff and expensive stuff mixed together. Things from early 1900's through the 90s. I have found some really cool stuff here. read more

Ok, I've quite literally been stopping here for years. The location is the biggest reason why, situated on the 77/81 interchange. I first started coming here with my parents, probably in the mid 1990's - I collect railroadiana, parents collected postcards, souvenirs, Fiestaware - and we always found something to take home. What makes this place different (and separates it from Old Fort down the street in my opinion) is the variety they have coupled with price. Yes, there are some over-priced items - but across the board, the prices are a good deal fairer than most antique malls along interstates/ just off the exit. Traveled over 2 hours to hit a few antique stores I've been dying to go to. Hours on website are not correct for antique station, and the two antique malls next door. Snoopers I walked in with 13 minutes till 5 and got a unwelcoming you've got 5 minutes warm Virginia hello- and as soon as I hit the first booth she came on over the intercom and repeated the mall was closing in 5 minutes as I'm positive I was the only one in there mind you and than 4 minutes later we are closing loudly over the intercom. Regardless of what profession you are in you let people walk through unless your business is doing over a million dollars in sales a year- which this place is not- I have over $1,200 cash in my pocket and want to spend on various items I saw as I got rushed for 4 minutes- and I watched the front desk lady walk out literally minutes after me like she had a hot date or a burning house to get to. Don't forget why you got into this business in the first place- if you don't want to be there then close- now she is watching me in my car waiting for me to exit the parking lot. I've never felt more not invited in my life. All of the antique stores close at 5- at the same time people get off work- horrible business model and I don't give a crap if it's winter hours- money doesn't sleep but laziness does. After reading all the reviews for this place, I was disappointed. Most of the building is flea-market goods. There are some nice items scattered throughout, but it really depends on what you're looking for. There were very few primitives for sale and not a lot of furniture, so if that's what you're hunting for, this isn't your place. read more

This was a pretty standard flea market / antique mall sort of place. It's well lit and not super crowded or messy like some can be, and most of the prices seem pretty fair. It's just not amazing and the quality of the items is a bit lackluster in most of the booths. read more
