I required 2 major surgeries, a catheter for first 3 weeks and a colostomy bag, I named Lola, for 8 months. It was over a year worth of physical recovery with some residual bladder issues and ongoing emotional recovery from the trauma of a life changing experience. At the time this happened, I met with a couple of lawyers and was feeling extremely bummed out about the whole situation and truthfully, I had very little faith in attorneys and that they actually gave a damn about me as a person and what I was going through.
