Based on my experience with Fields Law Firm for my SSDI case, I would not recommend this firm for representation as it concerns Social Security Disability. I was 26 at the time of submitting my application for social security benefits in 2022 and I retained Fields Law Firm at the very beginning of the process which is the initial stage. The attorney I was assigned had only been representing social security disability claimants for less than 24 months. The firm did not start collecting medical records from all of my providers until the hearing stage, which was nearly three years after the date of the initial application. I was denied at the initial, reconsideration, and hearing level. In the few conversations I had with my attorney, the vibe that I was getting was that she did not familiarize herself enough with my case to provide me with decent representation. Her paralegal did not return some of my phone calls where I had left voicemails and there were times when the attorney had thought I already had a hearing even through a hearing hadn't taken place yet or the paralegal was unaware that a hearing was even scheduled. Two weeks before my hearing, I also discovered that the medical record was incomplete and the firm has not been collecting nearly half a year of mental health records and medical records from visits five months prior from several other providers. The firm never even communicated with me that they were missing a plethora of records from my file. It was through the phone conversations I had been having with my attorney, where I initiated contact about the progress of my case, where the attorney's lack of knowledge about several aspects of my case had raised my concerns and was a huge red flag. So I started to do some digging and contacted the lead paralegal for the disability department at Fields Law Firm and asked her to provide me with the most recent medical record date for every provider in my file and that's when I discovered a huge chunk of medical records hadn't been obtained. Therefore, the attorney would have went into my hearing with an incomplete medical record, had I not been checking behind the law firm's staff and made the discovery that they had not been obtaining all of my medical records. Which I shouldn't have to do as a client of a law firm, where there is supposed to be an expectation that the time and attention to detail needed for a case is actually being provided by the firm to ensure the client is getting the "best" representation possible. I hadn't even been getting the bare minimum in representation, based on my experience. I contacted the owner prior to my hearing and left a voicemail regarding my concerns, the call was never returned. My claim was denied three weeks after the hearing. Based on this experience, I cannot consciously recommend this firm. Too much of a risk. There is adequate and much better representation elsewhere and ultimately, it is the claimant's responsibility to do their due diligence to retain appropriate representation and to seek other legal representation, when appropriate representation isn't being provided. Based on my personal experience with this firm and my observations, this is one of those run-of-the-mill firms where a high client volume is prioritized over individual case quality. Which is a recipe for DISASTER. There's limited interaction with the attorney they appoint to your case and they have their attorneys do a little of everything while mastering nothing. The years of experience and level of expertise the firm has doesn't necessarily equate to the years of experience and level of expertise of the attorneys they employ and assign to your case. The quality of the attorney I was assigned was comparable to that of a public defender or worse, in my opinion. Paralegals appear to do most of the casework and lack attention to detail, miss critical information, send paperwork late, or were unresponsive at times when I initiated contact regarding my case, and were dismissive and irate when you present your concerns about their behavior. Attorney appeared confused, forgetful, unskilled, and hasty during most interactions. No accountability and no compassion. You are nothing more than a new case# to these people which speaks to the culture of this firm. No exceptional expertise or innovative strategies. It seems that they handle a large number of cases and prioritize quick resolutions over an in-depth legal analysis. Staff lacks phone etiquette and is often dismissive and uninterested in considering your concerns and being open to constructive criticism. If you value yourself and your case, do yourself a favor and find appropriate and thorough representation based on the years of experience, level of expertise, and qualifications of the attorney in the field for which your claim is in whether that be long term disability, social security disability, workers compensation, etc. All attorneys are not made the same and you can certainly lose your case by not having the right attorney representing you. In summary, they have too many cases to worry about little old you. You are better off seeking a local attorney in your area with a smaller firm that has the time, attention to detail, attorneys with many years of experience, and level of expertise in the field of which your claim is in, to give you the best representation possible. If I could go back in time, I would have stayed far away from fields Law Firm. 0 out of 10. Would NEVER recommend. read more

Good heavens these people have some patience. I got my head caved in by an F18 fighter jet back in the navy, and well... not to be too silly but my brain don't work to good anymore. I got my VA disability, but I was still struggling a little with money supporting my brothers and a crazy economy. So I filed for SS disability at least I think that's what it's called. Even when I couldn't remember even a single family member's birthday or what I ate for breakfast, walked with a cane and had to take pain medication just to get out of bed, the Social security people just ran me in circles for ages. I contacted Fields Law firm after a short google search. They stayed with me, refiled and even when they still turned me down, Fields didn't even FLINCH! They jumped right back in, walking me through everything. They knew my limitations and were extremely patient and careful. They even highlighted things I needed to sign, and left sticky notes in the paper work when I couldn't understand things. Not only was it well worth the effort, but I feel like I didn't get a single cent out of pocket. They took a tiny percent I didn't even know was there from the end result. I am SOOO GLAD that I found Fields Law Firm online when searching for an attorney to help with my SSDI case! I had no idea what I was looking for. I filled out the online questionnaire, and got a phone call back from a lady at the firm the next day. After speaking with someone else in the next couple of days, they agreed that I had a good case and they were going to take me on as a client.
