My nieces and nephews went from one area of the playground to the other area in search of what they liked. We tried many of the pieces of the playground. There is a lot of space on the playground for the kids so that it doesn't seem crowded. Each items seemed safe. There is a picnic area for families to bring and eat a meal. I wish there were more covered spaces for parents to sit and watch their kids. The bathrooms onsite were clean and safe.

I always park at Annie's Playground parking lot and start from there. It's approximately 6.5 miles out to Williams St. and back. People are always super friendly along the trail. Families walk with their kids in tow. It's just a great family (or solo) trail to walk/run on. The trail is paved and a little hilly at times but not anything unmanageable.There were few forks in the road that confused me as i went along, but I just asked people and was directed to where I was looking to go. There are a few streams along the way that add to the scenery. I Iove this trail and think you will too!

Historic Jerusalem Mill Village is a nearly intact mill village from the 1770s in Harford County,…read moreMaryland. Depending on the hour you visit, you can visit a number of structure: the Grist Mill (now a visitor's center), the Miller's House, the Blacksmith Forge, Tenant House, McCourtney's General Store, Barn ruins, the Jericho Covered Bridge, and more. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. We walked to the barn ruins and the covered bridge. Then we visited the blacksmith shop (a blacksmith in period clothes gave us a little lessons on blacksmithing) and McCourtney's General Store, which now houses a little museum about Jerusalem Mill. The staff at the General Store were very helpful and friendly and walked us around and pointed out different objects and artifacts. There is a trailhead that starts just near the parking lot on Jerusalem Road that I want to check out next time we're in the area. The Village also hosts different events, like their summer concert series, so it's a great place to get to know. The parking was in the area is very limited (lots of people in the lot park for the trail or to picnic in the meadow behind the blacksmith shop), and the area isn't very organized (stopping by the general store or visitor center first to get an idea of what your options are is probably the best way to tackle it). But it's a really interesting glimpse into Maryland's history and worth a visit if you're in the area or passing through!

But they don't seem to make the most of the potential. I did not see any guidance to help make the most of a visit and the living history aspect was in low gear on the Saturday we visited. The State Park proximity should provide good synergy, but again, there was not much in the way of guidance to figure out the nuances. I'd like to check back in the summer when things might perhaps be fully in motion.

This is one of the locations that people come to vote at depending on where you are registered. I do typically take my dogs here from time to time just to have time to run the big fields and feel free from the world! They love it even though it is not a dog park but I have a whole gang so we make our own fun lol. The old building is still in use. The old building also has a children playground, tennis and basketball court around it. If your kid is signed up for leagues there you may be utilizing both buildings. The large dog park field is very patchy. There is some grass and some soil area all around. Towards the back of the dog park, the grass is very dead and long. A couple things I noticed: - People do not pick up after their dogs so there is a lot of poop around (be careful where you step). This was the biggest disappointment for me. - They do offer complimentary poop bags. - The trash can outside the dog park near the parking lot. - There is no water for the dogs unlike most dog parks.
